I cannot fault Locking's whom we have used for
the second time. I would highly recommend them for your house move. Moving is very stressful and Declan, Ed and the CS Team were great in helping us make some difficult but ultimately the right decisions. And they successfully chased all the other solicitors in the chain. I would highly recommend using a local firm such as Lockings for your house move and avoid like the plague the slightly cheaper online conveyancing services who just do not cut it IMO.

The treatment of my stepdaughter & her partner is disgusting, will we be in our new home for Christmas they asked, yes no problem, they ring you nearly everyday & its oh we are waiting for this solicitor to get back to us or out the office, in a meeting, we'll get them to ring you back but they dont & now its looking like they will have to extend the mortgage, so the excitement of buying their first home together for them & their little family is gone, its just days filled with stress & worry the dread of will this all fall through, You are being paid to do a job & failing epically....
UPDATE after all the promises of we'll get this sorted, im dealing with your sale ect nothing really changed they had a week or two of being kept informed then they went right back to how it was before, they were constantly told the mortgage is running out and acted surprised when told this, and today the people who they are buying from have pulled out perfect house, perfect price in the right area gone, what an absolute pantomime this has been.
What a breath of fresh air. Lockings have been amazing from start to finish. I have bought and sold various properties over the years and always dread the legal side however Lockings have made the whole process stress free and easy. I dealt with Aleisha Turner who gave me constant daily updates and was always reassuring that everything was all on track. I will be using Lockings for every transaction needed going forward and I hope to always be able to deal with Aleisha as I cannot praise her enough.

At the time in 2022, I mentioned that Lockings' provided a 'Very efficient service compared to other solicitors. Would recommend to other buy-to-let investors'. However, based on subsequent experience whereby I was not able to complete the purchase, I have revised my opinion completely and would not in any circumstance recommend this firm to a potential buyer.

Lockings have been from beginning to end the most efficient conveyancers we have dealt with. Having moved four times (buying/buying and selling) this was a different “hands on” experience from our conveyancing team who were “on it like a bonnet” from beginning to end. They live up to their customer charter, timely communication, tenacious when dealing with less efficient conveyancers in the chain and patient when guiding us through the process.
We have been so impressed with Lockings who were very competitive with their pricing, they only take on the number of cases they can actually handle efficiently so you know that whilst you’re not their only client they have the ability to deal with your sale/purchase even during busy holiday periods with cover.
It’s no surprise they’re ranked amongst the highest if not Number 1 locally and very highly nationally from the service we received.

The chain was unreliable and was not helped by our buyers solicitor being so difficult to deal with. However Adele and Sam persevered and we got there in the end. Adele and Sam were always available unlike many others in the chain
