I am SO glad to have found Butterworth! I have finally found a roaster that offers a single origin decaf selection!! As someone who used to work in speciality coffee and adored single origin filter coffees, but now has a very low tolerance to caffeine, I couldn’t be happier. Usually decaf drinkers are lumped with a big standard blend that nobody really put that much time & effort into. Not here! I am so grateful that someone is finally paying attention to decaf drinkers, you could argue we’re the real OGs as we’re the only ones drinking coffee just for taste…

I wanted to pick up some beans the same day so I gave them a ring to ask if they had a "shop" where I could buy some. They told me that they didn't have any way of processing payments in-person but recommended that if I went over and paid for click and collect they'd be able to get them ready for me quickly. When I got there, the guy did an excellent job of recommending some beans and answering several questions I had about resting and preparation. I'll definitely be buying from them again.

Incredible customer service. I didn't realise it was a click and collect service, so when I turned up and saw it wasn't a browse and pay type shop, I phoned to ask if I were able to place an order and collect it immediately. They were so helpful, and had my tea ready to collect within 3 minutes! They were really friendly, and the only place I've found that sells Russian Caravan tea.

Excellent coffee, very well balanced roasts. A good amount of choice available. Specific filter and espresso roasts (leads to much better coffee) which you don't see everywhere. One thing to note, it's more set up for ordering online and click and collect rather than a shop. They were very accommodating when I knocked on the door though!

We’ve had beans delivered by Butterworth & Son for a couple of years now and wouldn’t buy them from anywhere else. I like that they put a sticker on the bags to tell you when the beans were roasted (they’re always very fresh!!) and by who - thanks Tom 10/10 beans

Purchased coffee beans, great selection, freshly roasted and delivered quickly.

Not a fan of this coffee unfortunately. It is weak yet bitter all at the same time. I know there are different varieties to which I have tasted but I have never found one that I like.

After searching far and wide for great tasting, smooth drinking coffee that’s always consistent. Finally found the winner with Butterworth. It’s simply super!
