I enjoyed the thoroughness of the course and the available resources. Having such a detailed manual and videos were extremely helpful as a coach-in-training. The instructor was knowledgeable and explained the techniques of coaching in a way that was relatively easy to understand. I appreciated the class practice coaching sessions and the insightful feedback provided.
The manual was very detailed and contains a great deal of valuable information for a new coach. The manual layout was helpful when I wanted to go to specific parts of a chapter. Including videos as a part of the curriculum was a great visual and audio way for coaching students to see how a coaching session is done. I think the course is fantastic and I plan to pursue my next level of coaching development with LPI. I also think that the course is tailored in a way that supports an adult learner

I did the Spiritual + Life Coaching 5 day intensive course.
I'll start with the positives. There is plenty of material for newbie coaches. You get templates for coaching agreements, intake forms, and coaching tools, including some powerful spiritually-focused tools. There is additional support for marketing and an alumni network. In short, you get all the structure and basics that you'll need to start out as a coach, with a spiritual flair.
As for negatives, LPI's coaching model as taught was very rigid. It often left little or no room for us to use our intuition or incorporate any existing practices into our work with others. It was taught as though LPI's model is the one and only way to coach, when there are multiple proven coaching models, and many coaches create their own programs. I didn't feel like there was much room for 'me' while meeting the course objectives. Finally, I felt as though our instructor did not embody the presence I would expect from someone leading others in a spiritual coaching program. At times, I felt there was unfair criticism, favoritism, and in general that myself and my gifts were not seen or reflected back to me by my instructor.
Despite the negatives I experienced, I would recommend LPI's spiritual coaching program to starting coaches with a couple caveats:
1) View it as a starting point rather than the only way to coach
2) Ask if you are able to meet with the instructor beforehand to see if you vibe with them or not

I took the 3-month regular Life Coaching course with LPI and really learned a lot. I investigated a lot of courses before choosing this one because there are a lot of scams out there. I also wanted to be able to qualify for the International Coaching Federation (ICF) credentials without spending too much money (relatively speaking).
While I can't say I loved any of the back-end staff I interacted with, they got the job done. But my instructors were all fabulous! I mainly had Juliette, who was such a treat! We also had at least one substitute I also thought was great. I've interacted with some other LPI instructors as well at other trainings LPI offered and they have all been top-notch!
I'm now doing my mentoring to qualify for my ICF ACC (1st level of credentials). My mentor coach said I am already (at least in some ways) coaching at almost a PCC level (the 2nd level up). And at least once, she told me something I did was MCC level (the highest level). Admittedly, I have experience in behavioral health, so I wasn't brand new to this type of thing, but still, I think I got a very good educational experience at LPI and I would recommend it.
