Please be wary. Matt is extremely aggressive, deceitful, and bitter. I can’t speak for the whole company, but I do know, he put a sour taste in my mouth and made me very uncomfortable. I would recommend not using them for this reason or even renting any properties they manage.
I worked with Matt and what a great experience. I needed to rent out my condo and he was able to do so quickly. Great experience and highly recommend.
I have rented from them a couple months back something tragically happened at my house where I had to get up and move out immediately I paid them rent they then they turned around and still want to charge me $3,500 to break the lease gave them all the police reports everything and they still trying to come after me for all this money and then they were marking stuff that was there when I moved in that they had to clean up that was there when I moved there
5 stars for creativity — This company can always find a reason to keep your security deposit.
Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience with Lori Gill and Associates
I would strongly caution anyone considering renting a property managed by Lori Gill and Associates. Our experience with Lynn Douglas, the property manager handling our tenancy, was extremely frustrating, particularly when it came to the handling of our security deposit.
After moving out, we were charged a significant amount for refinishing the floors, including $600 in labor that the owner apparently performed himself. The documentation we received did not provide the amount of time spent performing the work or the hourly rate used to calculate the $600 charge.
Under Washington law, when a landlord performs repairs themselves, the security deposit accounting is required to include the time spent performing the repairs and the reasonable hourly rate charged. That information was not provided to us. We therefore believe this deduction did not comply with Washington’s security deposit requirements.
What makes this even more frustrating is that we have photographs from the day we moved in showing that the floors were already scratched, scuffed, and damaged. We specifically brought the condition of the floors to Lynn Douglas’s attention when we moved in and were told not to worry about it because “the house was old.”
Yet when we moved out, we were charged for refinishing the floors despite having documented evidence of their pre-existing condition. The flooring was old and had significant wear before our tenancy, and the alleged tenant damage did not encompass the entire floor. The property was also being prepared for sale, which raised additional concerns about whether we were being charged for work that went beyond repairing actual tenant-caused damage.
We repeatedly contacted Lynn Douglas trying to get answers and resolve the issue. Communication was slow and frustrating. Despite Lori Gill and Associates having managed the property and handled the security deposit process, we were ultimately told that Lynn could not answer our questions and that we should contact the owners directly.
The problem? We had never communicated with the owners and were never provided with their contact information. We were essentially told to take the dispute somewhere else after the management company had handled our tenancy and deposit.
This experience has been incredibly frustrating and has left us feeling that there was little accountability once our tenancy ended. A property management company should provide clear, legally compliant documentation for security deposit deductions and should be willing to help resolve legitimate disputes—not leave former tenants to track down an owner they’ve never even dealt with.
If you rent through Lori Gill and Associates, document absolutely everything, take extensive move-in photos, and keep all communication in writing. We did, and we are extremely glad we did.
Based on our experience, I would absolutely not recommend Lori Gill and Associates or Lynn Douglas to prospective tenants.

I worked with Victoria Rankin over the past 3 years. She was always attentive and responsive. Great attitude and communicative when needed. I appreciate all of her help while renting a unit run by LGA. If I ever have to search for another rental, I’ll definitely reach out to Victoria again!
I reached out to them about an apartment in Monroe for rent. It sent me to an automated form where I was supposed to enter all of my personal data (name, address, credit score, pets, life style) prior to touring the unit. I was then told someone would be in touch. I then received a separate email from them requesting the exact same information, but that I could ignore it if I already filled it out. I haven't heard back from them. So it sounds like they want to harvest all of your personal and private data prior to you even getting a look at the unit to see if you like it.
If I could give 0 stars I would! They make outrageous claims of damage when in reality there are none! They want 1000's for standard wear and tear items - coming after me TWO years after I have moved out! Just terrible no effort rental management. I learned my lesson! I only rent direct from owners now.
My name is Mohebat Jahromi and Josh Randall is my Property Manager from Lori Gill Associates for my property in Kirkland. Josh has been so wonderful and helpful. I have a very difficult case and situation, and Josh has showed so much care so much kindness and has put so much time and effort in making it all work for the best for me. I would recommend Josh Randall so much. There is no way i could have done all this on my own. Josh is trustworthy and he will do everything in his power to insure all will be Good.
I can’t begin to express how happy I am and excited about your 22nd anniversary. I’m happy because my account executive Lynn Douglas has been simply stellar. From our initial conversations regarding managing my townhome in West Seattle, over two years ago, she has always exceeded expectations. I always feel informed and love your portal and the information sharing that’s available 24/7/365 via that platform. Keep up the great work and here’s to the next 22.
This is a very professional and timely group to rent from. I have had all work orders addressed promptly and thoroughly. Communication with the property manager is easy and considerate, overall the easiest experience i’ve had renting and would recommend them to a friend.
Worst company to work with
Never, I repeat never use this company. they are the Worst company I have ever worked with. My lady and I both work in property management and the cost they charged us for out of our security deposit was grossly and absurdly out of control. they refuse any kind of communication and genuine respect and will leave you high and dry when trying to get back a reasonable amount back. the overall experience with this company was an absolute nightmare and i hope this reaches enough people so no one has to go through what I did. Again NEVER use this company. if I could put zero stars I would!

We toured a home in Washington while living in New York and ended up moving in last summer. We have rented at various high-end condos, luxury apartments, and townhomes for the last 15 years, all over the country. The service we’ve received at LG&A exceeds our experience with any other property management companies. We were nervous about committing to a rental without being in person but the team has been transparent and helpful every time we contact them. Tony and Erin Strobel have been extremely pleasant to work with the last 9 months and we trust that they will respond to any questions and resolve any issues as quickly as possible. They are proactive and extremely professional and we plan to rent through LG&A even beyond our current lease. We have rented out previous homes we’ve owned and I know the challenges from the homeowner perspective as well—I would definitely consider using LG&A as a homeowner planning to lease out a home in Washington.
We had a stressful cross-country move and are grateful to the LG&A staff for making everything within their control stress-free.
