I have been in my condo for the past 3 years and have been wanting to do something to make it feel more like a home but I didn't know where to start or what to consider. Luca and Vinh came to my home for the 1.5 hour consultation and helped get me out of that overwhelmed feeling and provided concrete, actionable suggestions on what to do and where to find furniture pieces that would complement my space more effectively. Having them walk through the condo and take me through paint colours, rug suggestions, furniture options, and even room layouts and potential upgrades, all with my budget in mind, was exactly what I needed. I would highly recommend the 1.5 hour in-home consultation to anyone that just needs to understand where to start.

I was nervous to try an in-home consultation with strangers I found on the internet, but I had read so many great reviews that I decided to give it a try. Luca and Vinh are the loveliest people. They immediately put me at ease and our visit was filled with laughter and attainable design tips that I could put to immediate use. They each had ideas and specific suggestions that I could follow up on, including for furniture options in my price range. Highly recommend! They deserve all the stars.

Selecting furniture for a pre-construction condo, with young kids, is very hard! Which is why we wanted to work with designers who could help us visualize the right pieces for 3 bedrooms, living and dining based on our needs. After immense review, we went with Level One Studios based on their reviews, gallery and impressions after the initial meetings. Vinh, Luca and Carol are authentic, transparent and supportive. We had multiple delays with the occupancy date, which is very stressful, and they continued to empathize with our frustrations and often acted as our therapists. We followed their recommendation to delay move-in by a few weeks after obtaining the keys so they could have the place all set up for us; that was a game-changer with a two-year old who would have made it very hard for us to install light fixtures and assemble furniture during the day. We had a few issues with deliveries but Luca, Vinh and Carol took care of it all and got replacements immediately. We started this journey back in 2020 and three years later we could not be happier with how everything turned out! What I appreciate most, is that they fulfilled our very specific request that all our furniture must be kid-friendly and spill-proof - they did extra due diligence to ensure we selected the right fabrics and pieces with plenty of storage for toys. We will definitely work with them again if and when we move to a house.

When we decided to undertake our major reno (kitchen, living room, bedroom, library, closets) we were daunted by the scale of the task: visualizing our design ideas, sourcing the finishes and furniture, and choosing contractors – and then managing a big project while living somewhere else! We could choose colours, fabrics, finishes, and furniture pieces that went well together, but we recognized there was a lot more to design than that. We also knew we wanted to leave the implementation and day-to-day project management to more experienced hands. We decided that we needed outside expertise and turned to Level Studio, whose functional and modern designs matched our aesthetic, and whose countless rave reviews assured us we were in good hands. From the first meeting, we knew the Level crew had a good eye for detail, even getting down onto their hands and knees to better examine part of the floor. We lost track of time during that meeting, just chatting and getting to know each other. They took that time to get to know us, what was important to us. They worked to understand our vision and translate it into a coherent design, while anticipating needs that we didn’t even know we had! For example, we’d assumed the footprint of our space would remain the same – everything pretty much in the same place, just updated. Level helped us reconceptualize the space to provide better visual and functional flow, including reorienting the kitchen appliances, island, and dining area – things we’d never considered. They helped translate our needs into a kitchen design that gave us more storage and workspace. Level uses a very iterative process, and created multiple draft designs with ample opportunity to provide feedback and share our thoughts. They gave us a complete design, including furniture and finishes, but were also open to our own suggestions for items we’d found or new design inspirations. The Level team were never pushy or claimed they knew better; they strove for an open and collaborative relationship and a design that truly felt like a synthesis of the best of our visions. Project management was a major concern of ours – we were moving out of our space and had some anxiety about being removed from the project as it was underway. Level’s project management put us at ease in a couple of ways. First, they acted as the general contractor in addition to being the designers. A lot of the designers we met with told us that, once the design was done, we would have to source a general contractor, which seemed daunting to us, and would add another layer between us as the clients and the people actually carrying out the work. Knowing that there wouldn’t be a lot of phone tag as a question or change made its way down the line from us to the tradespeople was a big plus. Second, the Level team were very communicative throughout the process. It was always easy to reach them; emails received a response within a few hours and they were always ready to schedule a call to discuss issues. They provided a detailed project plan with timelines and gave us regular updates on scheduled work and upcoming components. We always knew what was happening and what came next. The thing we’ll remember most about working with the Level Studio crew on this project was their commitment to making us happy. Whenever we had an issue with something, like the need for a touch-up to some painting, a scratch on the finish of a piece of furniture, or a complete replacement of the kitchen countertops, Level sprung into action! In our experience, other contractors have often shrugged as if to say, “What do you expect me to do?” That was never Level’s response – their attitude was always, “How can we fix this?” Putting your home, and thousands of dollars, into strangers’ hands can be very scary – we’ve all heard the horror stories. With Level Studio, those strangers became friends and our daunting project became a success story.

Luca and Vinh provided a very helpful 2 hours consultation. They were able to make me have a better understanding of what needs to be done, besides a lot of new ideas and measurements for my little project.

With the purchase of our new home, we decided to use Level Studios to help us with some key areas of the house. We had some furniture pieces that they were able to incorporate into the design. We were so thrilled with the result that we expanded the project to cover the entire house. We were provided with 3D designs, samples and received lots of attention and explanations. Friendly service that was professional. Lucah & Vinh get to know you and what you’re looking for and were able to provide us a finished product that was beyond our expectations. In addition, we did some custom cabinetry, media wall and wet bar. They even helped us with outdoor spaces. Highly recommended!

We had the unfortunate experience of having our original designer ghost us with an unfinished condo. We called Luca and Vinh and they helped us immediately with a two hour consult to finish off some last minute but important details. We took lots of notes during our meeting and within 24 hours picked our tiles, paints, and left over furnishings. The advice was spot on. Thank you very much for your help. It was also refreshing to converse with professionals who are not only knowledgeable but engaging, and friendly.

Luca, Vinh, and Level Studio … really short version is that they are incredible. But of course I should elaborate. A brief background; when I lived in a condo downtown Toronto, I tried a couple different designers, and got quite far but ultimately never implement their full designs. They were good but they weren’t my style. Fast forward a few years and I moved into a new house, 4 bedrooms and lots of space. I had lots of ideas but I needed help. I wanted someone who would take charge of the project and I didn’t want to deal with any of the stress. So I started looking and a lot of friends made a lot of recommendations. I met with 3 designers but in the end none of them worked out for variety of reasons. Then came the pandemic and the lockdowns, and truthfully I started to lose hope. Just then I came across Luca and Vinh’s page, Level Studio, and I immediately loved their aesthetic. I reached out to them a little reluctantly knowing that the pandemic had made a mess of things, some business were closed, some far too busy to be approachable. But Luca and Vinh got back to me almost immediately and set up a meeting. From that first meeting they were simply exceptional. They were very enthusiastic about the project, maybe even more excited than I was. From that point on I felt no need to look anywhere else, I had found my guys. When the project got going and I realized these guys were not messing around. Luca and Vinh were great at listening to my ideas and vision, and I had some crazy ones. And they took that vision and worked their magic to make it into something truly beautiful. They took care of everything to ensure it all went smoothly. I loved that they sourced many of the pieces right from craftsmen in Toronto, but also when I really really oh so badly truly needed that one book shelf from that French company that no longer has a representative in Toronto, well they got that last one in the warehouse on a ship bound for Toronto; how amazing is that! Were there problems? Of course. But when I called Luca and Vinh from work about a problem, they were at my house before I could get there and already working on a solution. During the months that we worked on this project I never felt that their attention was anywhere else and they treated me as if I was their most important client. They took my scattered ideas and vague vision and created something beautiful and saw the project through from the first day to the last with incredible energy and enthusiasm. And now pictures of my house are showcased in an interior design magazine, I hate to repeat myself but how amazing is that! It was absolute brilliant luck that I found these guys, but I have zero regrets and I have no doubt that they approach every project with the same energy and treat every client with the same enthusiasm that they showed me.

My experience working with Luca and Vinh for my condo project was rewarding, fun and an absolute pleasure! I came into this process with some basic ideas but needed a design team who could guide me with their design expertise, vision, and creativity, but also let my personality inspire the ultimate design scheme. My project involved a unique layout which required a keen eye in order to make the space functional and aesthetically pleasing. Vinh and Luca were pros the entire time providing me workable options that made very good use of the space. From a project management perspective, Luca and Vinh kept me informed and were excellent in communicating and working with me on each each step of the plan, while being cognizant and considerate of my schedule. They were very responsive to my questions and feedback, and I truly felt that they treated the project with the care and passion of their own. Their knowledge of design and functional interiors was obvious, and they also worked beautifully to implement pieces that worked well with my art work. I really appreciated the 2-h consult session with the Luca and Vinh! I learned a lot and feel way more confident about making some initial decor/design decisions in our new home. Level Studio Inc. is the first and only design call we will be making from now on. Doing a renovation for the first time is a daunting and stressful experience. Luca and Vinh made the process understandable, manageable and even fun! In a 2-hour visit they helped us create floor plans, electrical plans and an overall vision that we are incredibly happy with. Not only were they patient and listened to all of our concerns and answered our questions, they made the experience completely enjoyable. Their use of samples when in person, and their expertise using digital programs, showed us exactly what things would look like. Changes, edits and new inspirations were all provided in real time. We didn’t need a full reno for our living area. But we had been stuck, not knowing how to make it into a space we really loved. So we were intrigued when we saw that Level Studio offered a two-hour in-home design consultation and decided to give them a try. It turned out it was exactly what we needed! Vinh and Luca really worked off each other’s energy in coming up with ideas for us and how to turn our space into one we could finally really enjoy. They came up with creative solutions for our space and came prepared with paint and fabric samples to help us really envision it. They had specific suggestions for products that perfectly aligned with our own vision of the space (and told us where we could buy them) as well as ideas for using our own pieces to better effect. We would definitely love to work with them again and will continue to sing their praises to anyone else looking for a great design team!
