I was a paying member with Lengia Law for MedSpa compliance, and this has been one of the most frustrating and regretful business decisions I’ve made.
One of the main reasons I joined was because they market themselves as a “full-service” solution that will supposedly handle your setup and compliance efficiently — often claiming a 30-day setup timeline. That is absolutely not true. My DBA alone took four months because the third-party company they outsourced it to repeatedly made errors. During that entire time, my business was stalled, delayed, and financially impacted while I had to constantly follow up to find out why nothing was moving forward.
What they do not clearly disclose is that many of their “services” are simply outsourced to generic third-party filing companies — while Lengea charges three to four times the actual cost of doing it yourself. You are paying premium legal pricing for what is essentially LegalZoom-level work, except slower. They hardly do any of it themselves.
Their billing practices are extremely questionable. I was charged excessive fees for very basic emails — including follow-ups asking for clarification on questions they failed to answer the first time. In some cases, I was billed for both the original unanswered email and the follow-up email asking for clarification. It felt like being charged simply for trying to get help.
The consent forms and questionnaires they provide are extremely generic and require a huge amount of your own time to fix, customize, and correct. Despite claiming to be experts in MedSpa compliance, it became clear they lack real-world clinical understanding of what is actually needed in medical intake forms, questionnaires, and consent documentation.
If you read their other reviews, you will see many clients describing the same problems — excessive billing, slow timelines, vague deliverables, and very little real value.
I also have a friend who has worked with them and their experience was the same as mine.
At the end of the day, they hardly do anything for you. Nearly everything they provide can be done faster, cheaper, and more transparently on your own using basic filing services, LegalZoom, or even ChatGPT. They also recently billed me for work that I did not ask to be done, that they used a 3rd party for.
I would strongly discourage anyone from working with this company. This was an expensive, time-consuming mistake that directly delayed my business launch and cost me money. Definitely not worth the $7000. Horrible mistake.
