I have been liaising with Scott from legra electrical & renewables for a little while regarding a potential solar installation. I will be the first to admit I don’t fully understand the intricacies of solar and tariffs etc but Scott has been really helpful so far in explaining things and has already helped us lower our bills and got us free credit for us to swap onto octopus. Scott has provided a really comprehensive solar proposal that we are still considering. He has put us at ease and I feel that when we do commit to Solar it will be Legra that installs it.

I enquired With Scott at Legra regarding Green efficiency namely Solar options for our property. Scott was so helpful and knowledgeable regarding our potential options the only problem being that we are too far away for Legra to make it financially viable for them in supporting our project. Nonetheless, Scott offered us advice and support with Solar options locally to us which was invaluable and has resulted in us securing an agreement which suits our requirements. Were you a little closer we would have loved to have completed the install however the cost of accommodating men would add too much onto the cost of the install and wouldn’t allow us to have remained competitive.

Scott and Mark showed their true professionalism today whilst helping me with a job to replace a failed battery unit suffering from a faulty BMS current sensor relay for a domestic Solar PV system. They turned up on schedule and replaced the failed unit promptly. I initially found their contact details through Solax UK as they are an approved installer. Prior to receiving a quote, Legra ensured me that they were accreddited with MCS not only specifically in Solar, but also in the Battery accreditation... Not only this, they travelled from their locale in Leigh on Sea all the way to North London to help me rectify my dead battery. Thank you both for your time, professionalism and insight. I'll will gladly use your services again should I need to in the future. Cheers

If you are having a Solar and battery installation use Cactus!!!!! I had a solar and battery instal beginning of March 2025 in Essex and leaving this review 2 days after the instal. Scott was the 'salesman' if you like that met with us for a arranged appointments. Scott simply explained everything and what the company could offer along with his advice. I loved the way he listened to me and what I wanted (rather than what he wanted to sell) and provided his opinion and advice. Together we came up with a system that seems to suit our needs. Cactus were not the cheapest however I felt some of the cheaper one's were no where near the standard of Cactus. The price was important to me and the little more I was paying for them was 100% worth it. On the lead up to instal day the communication was brilliant and every little question I had was answered. The scaffolding went up in a timely manner (special not to those guy they were brilliant as well and not part of cactus) they were clean tidy and efficient. On instal day Mark and his team arrived and they were professional, friendly and worked so hard to complete my instal in 2 days. From what I gather it wasn't without hick-ups and difficulties however they over came them and did not complain. The final product and instal is excellent everything is neat and tidy the workmanship is fantastic and they treated my house with respect. I could not wait to pay them my money! The system is set up smoothly Mark took the time to explain where and what everything is. I am so happy I chose them after spending weeks doing research and over 10 different installs providing quotes.

What can I say about Cactus other than amazing!! From the initial site visit by Mark to the final day of installation everything was completed promptly and professionally (Mark is a perfectionist with his work), no questions asked by me went unanswered and the advice I got from Mark about my set up was second to none compared to other companies I had spoken to, even to the point that Mark convinced me to have a Powervault battery installed instead of the Tesla Powerwall I originally wanted and what a suggestion that was, best decision I could have made. Mark was open and honest about everything and made me feel at ease straight away. Due to the great experience I had from Mark, Cactus are going to be the only company I go to when I look at getting an air source heat pump at some point next year. Thank you Mark for such a great service and look forward to using your expertise again.

We have done around 200 installs with the team at Cactus so far, we get to see the home owners before the install and after when we remove the scaffolding. We have only ever heard good things about the team’s excellent work and the guys are receiving lots of work from recommendations, which is testament to the great work they do. We have worked with many solar panel companies across the years and not many can match Cactus Renewables excellent work!
