Went here for my birthday last week and the food was incredible. Probably the best filet I ever had even came with the bone marrow which made it all the more splendid. Wonderful attentive staff and stunning atmosphere. Highly recommend Le CouCou. Thanks again!

Service and atmosphere are outstanding, the food however is not worth the price. Three out of five dishes we had as a group of five in both starter as well as main were rather average. Nothing special in flavor or composition. Not worth the price tag. The menue changes regularly so it might be better other times but when we visited it wasn’t great.

I was very disappointed by my experience at Le Coucou. While the service was attentive and professional, it often felt somewhat staged rather than genuinely warm.
The real issue, however, was the food. I ordered the Tous Le Lapin, and it was honestly difficult to understand how this dish has earned such praise. One part consisted of what was essentially a small rabbit leg sitting in a pool of spinach and carrots. The other component was a soft mixture of onions, cheese, and tiny pieces of rabbit meat that resembled a purée more than a thoughtfully composed dish.
The portion size was extremely small, especially considering the price. More importantly, the dish was bland, uninspired, and lacked any memorable flavors.
Fine dining does not have to exclude tiny portions, but it should at least deliver creativity, technique, or excitement. This dish delivered none of those in my opinion.

We visited Le Coucou for dinner. Getting a reservation was fairly easy — booking about a month ahead on the reservation platform was pretty relaxed, no real struggle.
The foie gras was very good — tender and springy, but not in a dense, creamy way. It had an almost pudding-like texture, which was unexpected and quite nice. The duck à l’orange was another highlight — a generous portion, and the orange paired really nicely with the duck. The beef was also well done, nicely tender. Service was fine, nothing to complain about. Prices are on the slightly expensive side.
The seasoning here is on the heavier side — some people find it too salty, but for us it was fine, and it actually paired really well with wine.
Overall a solid one-star French dinner. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I really wanted to love Le Coucou but my experience was disappointing. I mentioned to the restaurant that it was my fiancé’s and my birthday celebration our birthdays are only three days apart but nothing special was done for the occasion.
The manager also felt quite pushy. We originally ordered one appetizer and two entrées but she insisted it wouldn’t be enough so we added a gourmandises as well. In the end we couldn’t even finish everything. Later they kept encouraging us to order dessert and we weren’t sure if it was meant to be a complimentary birthday surprise as they had implied earlier. However we ended up being charged for everything.
Overall it felt more like upselling than hospitality and I left feeling like the experience was more about sales than celebrating a special occasion.

Such a great restaurant for special occasions! We ordered prime steak and lamp chops, both were absolutely delicious! And omg, crème brûlée was 100/10!! Also, chef send us as a gift mini freshly baked Madeleine cookies, it was out the world! Our server was amazing, I forgot his name. The only thing we were ordered that was pretty ordinary is leeks with hazelnuts. Overall great experience!

TL;DR: This place is mediocre at best.
We tried a lot of different dishes, and maybe one was okay. Even the duck was disappointing; I’ve had better duck at a Chinese restaurant, and that one wasn’t even good.
We were celebrating a special occasion, but they literally sat us in the middle of a doorway.
The service was also terrible. The only positive thing I can say is about the person who brought the water.
