Incredible experience! La Roca Rara is a gem! We spent five days here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary with a group of our friends. We had the most wonderful time lounging by the pool and playing games in the living rooms. The whole time was amazing. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you want a wonderful getaway with a few friends in the South of Spain, this is your place!

Family holiday returning after 10 years. What a fantastic villa this is, perfect for a large family gathering. We returned after 10 years when we stayed here for our daughter's wedding. This time our party included 6 children. The pool area is great for relaxing and all the bedrooms are accessed from here. The lounge area is very large, perfect for hide and seek, and the outside dining area is perfect for meal times. The kitchen is very well equipped with 2 dishwashers and 2 cookers. The garden area is extensive and includes a tennis court. The on site manager, Gill and Derek, are very helpful and even took a few of us to Frigiliana when we had an issue with taxis.

Simply the Best! We had been fortunate to stay at La Roca Rara previously in 2019 and this time we celebrated our daughter’s 50th birthday and what an amazing experience we had. 16 family and friends stayed for a week and during that time an additional 24 family and friends joined us for a pool party with lunch and evening BBQ. The catering and staff were outstanding, they looked after us so well. La Roca Rara is a beautiful place to stay, all the bedrooms with en suite around the pool are spacious and attractive. Gill who manages the villa with her husband Derek are exceptional hosts. They live on site and nothing was too much trouble. They were unobtrusive but were there when and if we needed them. We would definitely stay again if we have the opportunity.

Fabulous 4 day girls trip The villa is wonderful, incredibly spacious and well laid out. Multiple places around the villa to relax, and the rooms are really big with lovely vaulted ceilings. The beds are extremely comfortable, clean and cosy. The bathrooms are really well appointed, the kitchen area is huge and everything you could possibly need. Plenty of sunny and shady spaces throughout the day, amd the pool is exceptionally refreshing. Not too far from both Nerja and Frigiliana, where there are some lovely spots, restaurants and shops. What a stunning villa and a real home away from home feel.

A perfect 4 day trip with friends! We stayed here for 4 days. 4 days of absolute bliss! The villa is just breathtaking, and there was everything we could have asked for! The rooms were spacious and clean! The bathrooms were lovely and had clean fresh towels. The seating areas were perfect for our group of 11! The pool area was our haven and such a sun trap! Was a fabulous trip! Will definitely be heading back! This is a fantastic stay and perfect for larger groups looking to relax in the sun, eat great food and spend quality time with their loved ones!

An unforgettable stay at La Roca Rara From the moment we arrived our stay at La Roca Rara was absolutely perfect. The villa itself is stunning – beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The pool and all areas outside were also perfect. We also had incredible support from the La Roca Rara team and the service we received before and during our stay was fantastic. The team went above and beyond to help us plan every detail. Nothing was too much trouble, and their attention to detail made everything feel effortless. We had the best time and made memories that we’ll treasure forever. It was the perfect base for our special girls getaway. I can't recommend it highly enough – it’s everything you could wish for and more.

60th birthday week We booked La Roca Rara for my 60th birthday and filled the whole house with our family. 17 of us in total. There were 3 generations from aged 62 to aged 1, so a lot to consider. Gill was wonderful from the start. She arranged cots and high chairs, helped with pool heating, arranged a bedroom plan so that everyone knew where they were going when they arrived. She also made recommendations for caterers, treatments, wine tasting, decorators and photographers for the special day. Everything was perfect.

Yoga retreat We had five days at the villa and in a lovely location Away from the noise but stunning views of the sea and mountains. Gill did everything to make our trip special. Great facility particularly for groups in a beautiful part of Spain. Located a short distance above the fray of the town of Nerja gave welcome privacy. Lots to do in this area including beaches, caves, Alhambra, mountains. The house manager and her husband exceeded expectations for helping our group have the best vacation. Would definitely return should the opportunity arise.
