Finally tried LA Nacional and it did not disappoint. The Pan Tumaca was so good, just simple stuff like tomato, garlic and good olive oil on toasted bread, but done just right. Coming from a South Asian background, this kinda simple flavor combo still felt familiar somehow, like it let every ingredient really stand out. The Croquetas were a great little bite too, crispy on the outside and creamy inside, honestly reminded me of the comfort you get from a good fritter back home. Different spices but same vibe of texture and indulgence. The Patatas Bravas had this savory kick that I couldn't stop eating. The Seafood Paella was a first for me and it honestly blew me away, now I get the hype. Even the mocktail (sober sangria) was solid. Beyond the food, the vibe inside is really nice!! we got a table and just enjoyed the whole time. Definitely coming back.
Paella was bland with zero texture, and service was noticeably bad - forgot to deliver, and then tried to charge us for the missing parts of our order, had to be flagged down for anything else like refills or the check. Gambas al ajillo were great, but shouldn’t everything be at this price?
came here with a few friends and ended up having a really great time. the atmosphere felt lively and welcoming without being too crowded or loud. food was honestly the highlight, everything we ordered had a lot of flavor and tasted fresh. we shared a few different dishes and it was hard to pick a favorite because they were all pretty good. service was friendly and helpful, especially when we had questions about the menu. prices felt reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. overall just a really enjoyable experience and definitely a place i'd recommend checking out if you're nearby.
Busy Friday night, thankful that we were seated pretty quick despite not having a reservation. Gambas al ajillo and croquetas were good. Paella 🥘 not good to my taste. It was more like a so so risotto. Crispy was totally missing, I would say it needed more cooking, and flavor. Came back this time (2026 June) for happy hour, we had a pleasant time, delicious food and service.
