I am so happy I was referred to Sebastien Anderson when my relationship with my former employer broke down. He offered solid advice on my rights as an employee while I was still employed and when I was constructively dismissed, Sebastien and his team were solidly in my corner every step of the way, even when it seemed like the court system was not. After years of delays and appeals, we finally had our opportunity in court and Sebastien won me a very generous (and just) judgement. If you are having issues with an employer and want to know about your rights and options, I can’t recommend Labour Rights Law highly enough.

I recommend having experience in dealing with lawyers before you go here. After a promising consultation, I entered into a retaining agreement. I then spend $1500 listening to a lawyer who focused on my problems rather than suggesting solutions and would talk at me rather than with me. I ended up leaving after paying over $1800 (including consultation) for a quote for representation that grew exponentially with each conversation. I was disappointed and I felt like I got duped - but ultimately it is my inexperience that cost me. This experience cost me money and time and, as a result of that, options. I spent less on a 'more expensive' lawyer with whom I was able to have two way conversations and begin working towards solutions. I got much farther in my human rights disagreement. I will grant that by that time I had the experience with Labour Rights Law. Thanks?

I contact Sebastien for a labour rights issue within the RCMP. Before even doing a consult and paying a retainer Sebastien was ready to step up and help. At the beginning things moved very fast. Labour Rights Law have been amazing. I needed to find a law firm that knew the BC labour code, specific to certifications and organizing. Labour Rights was that firm. Whether it was a small question to a complex file they provided me with sound legal advice which ultimately led to a favorable outcome. I had set up a consultation so I could go over a sketchy looking employee contract; seeing that it directly said on the website that the legal-ese terms could be simplified making for an easier time with communication and understanding during the appointment I thought "sure, why not? Better than getting more confused." Thanks to Sebastian, I was able to get a much better understanding on my contract and had felt comfortable enough to recommend another coworker who needed the same services.
