I'm the owner of a "new-to-me" pool and a first time pool owner. Knickerbocker GLADLY accepted my money to close my pool last year when I was looking for a permanent pool service provider for my first pool. They then GLADLY accepted my money to open the pool this Spring. But, when I needed some minor above ground plumbing repair after opening it this Spring to fix a leak, it was relayed to me that the Service Department Manager, Sara, would not schedule or provide the service because Knickerbocker didn't originally install the pool 20 years ago and it wasn't a "Knickerbocker pool".
Knickerbocker doesn't want new customers (or your business). At worst they will pretend you're a valued customer, take your money for small jobs, and then refuse to provide service when you really need them. I'd recommend you look elsewhere for installation and service if you want to be a valued customer and treated with respect. This isn't the place.

We’re sorry you feel this way. We have the duty to prioritize the pools we built over the last 50 years first, and then do our best to help the rest of Dayton when we can. It simply isn’t possible to offer service to every single pool in Dayton, especially during the hottest, busiest time of the pool season. Although our service department doesn’t have the capacity to service every pool, we have 6 retail locations that are happy to offer free water testing and chemistry help to ALL pool owners. We hope we can be that resource for you in the store.
