Renzo es un instructor muy paciente y con muy buenos conocimientos de kite. Tomamos las clases 3 personas y siempre fue muy amable y profesional. Lo recomiendo totalmente para personas que quieren aprender kite y que buscan alguien paciente y con experiencia que les enseñe. Además siempre nos daba recomendaciones sobre qué lugares visitar y nos guió mucho en nuestra visita a mayapo. Es un excelente ser humano con una energía increíble.

Renzo ist ein Profi durch und durch. Mayapo war meine erste Begegnung mit dem Kitesurfen und nach 10 Stunden mit Renzo stand ich sicher auf dem Brett. Nicht nur merkt man seine jahrelange Erfahrung und Technik als professioneller Kiter, sondern ich fühlte mich immer sicher. Renzo ist aufmerksam, hat Geduld und antizipierte sogar wann eine Pause nötig war. Hatte selten einen Lehrer mit dieser Hingabe.
Ich hatte eine super Zeit in Mayapo. Die Küche der Wayuu ist auch lecker und ist ein nettes Combo dort.

I had an amazing week in Mayapo, thanks to Kite Adventure Colombia! Renzo, the owner of the surfschool, is a really good instructor who explained me everything very well, with a lot of passion and patience. After a short theoretical background, he first let me adapt to the kite at the beach, and after we went practicing a lot in a lagoon a bit further (5’ moto taxi) from the school. He took care of all the transport. He always made sure that I felt well (without any fear) when I was going to navigate the kite, so I never felt unsafe, which is very important to me when learning a new (extreme) sport.
At the surfschool is also a restaurant with very good meals (I loved the arroz con coco, platanos y camarones!) for affordable prices.
Besides the kitesurfing Renzo can recommend you good places to stay and to visit - Sanctuario Los Flamingo’s is really worth it!
In one word: highly recommended! ⭐️

Renzo was a friendly, supportive and professional instructor. He took awesome footage throughout my course, which not only helped me understand my mistakes but he also compiled it into an amazing video that I can share with mates and socials. From having no experience, I was able to surf in both directions after a 12 hour course. I'm now addicted to kitesurfing and can't wait to try it in more places.

Renzo was really amazing! My partner and I took 12 hours of lessons. Renzo was really patient to reassure me to fly the kite and took into consideration our needs the whole time during our 12 hour course. We managed to kite every day during our stay, and Renzo found the most amazing spot in the lagoon with no one around! After 8-ish hours we managed to surf successfully. He also made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Really a great experience learning with him and a great few days spent in Mayapo thanks to Renzo! I don’t know how we will find such good conditions again !!!

Loved it - Renzo is a great instructor and he teaches in a very responsible way. Rather than risking you getting injured, he has a very progressive way of teaching which makes you feel super safe.

Renzo is a local guy passionate about kitesurfing. I have spent Christmas days kitesurfing under his guidance and it's been amazing. He chose the right spot, provided me great equipment, changing the kite when the wind lowered. He has been a great instructor and I was able to progress a lot during the days with him. Renzo is friendly and technical, warm and polite. He has also shot amazing videos. I could not recommend more this school!!

We had an amazing time during our 3 day (10 hour) kite course with Renzo! He took us from total beginners to being able to surf at the end! Renzo is such a welcoming, chill and professional guy so I would definitely recommend going here. Especially nice if you like a more local experience, he provided a tasty local lunch every day👌

Es un excelente lugar para aprender kitesurfing , renzo como instructor principal enseña de manera profesional siguiendo la metologia IKO , tambien una persona con una calidad humana increible en lo que lo conoci y muestra su talento de enseñanza, realizan clases personalizadas y organizan todo de manera genial en mi opinion es mas que una escuela de kitesurfing son un equipo que te orientara profesionalmente en este maravilloso deporte , los hostales son super accesibles y con diferentes precios lo que lo hace mejor para todo publico ; tome clases durante 4 dias y fue una experiencia que sin duda la mejor, los precios son buenos y aceptan cualquier metodo de pago lo que facilita mas la experiencia .
De verdad que si tienen la oportunidad recomendaria encarecidamente este lugar

We were in class with Renzo who is very friendly, he explained to us about the sport and the techniques that beginners should take, the prices were very good, we made a package with Sutsha Wayuu restaurant, where we had lunch each dish on average for $7 and we stayed in a cabin that they have very comfortable with drinking water and solar light panel. We feel very comfortable, safe and with the privilege of seeing the landscapes of La Guajira that can only be appreciated in person.
