I recently had the pleasure of hosting a Peer Support Group retreat at King Parrot Cottages, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we drove onto the property, I felt an overwhelming sense of tranquility and bliss welcoming us. The journey itself was a preview of the serene experience that awaited. The accommodations are truly exceptional. Each cottage is beautifully designed, offering a harmonious blend of comfort and nature that creates a peaceful atmosphere. The stunning surroundings are breathtaking—lush greenery and picturesque views make it a perfect backdrop for reflection and connection. Additionally, the Lodge provided a flexible and inviting space that facilitated our diverse sessions beautifully. Whether we were engaging in workshop activities or more intimate discussions, the Lodge's design and layout accommodated everything seamlessly. Every attendee raved about the cottages' charm and the Lodge's versatility, noting how it significantly enhanced our retreat experience. It truly felt like a sanctuary where we could unwind and focus on our growth and connections with one another. In essence, our time at King Parrot Cottages was pure perfection. I can't express how eager I am to return for another retreat in this stunning setting!

This has been one of our most outstanding stays over the past 10 years. If I could give Nicole and her family a higher rating than 5/5 we would. Absolutely breath taking experience. Spotless accomodation and instantly felt so welcomed and relaxed. So many experiences for the kids ranging from primary school to uni. And the nanna loved it also. Beautiful memories made and we are so grateful for this experience on their property. Taking home lifelong memories full of love and laughs. Thank you so much for the refresher we so needed. Our cups are full. Cannot recommend this place enough and forever grateful for their hospitality.

The cottages are located exactly where I wanted to stay. The environment is very peaceful, with lots of wild animals, and the dog is very friendly to visitors. Nicole is always responsive to our needs and prepared many amenities. We had five kids, and they were so busy looking for kangaroos and parrots, as well as playing in the game room. We had a wonderful time.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Blackwood cottage. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and at home. Oasis in the Otways Our family had a fantastic stay at King Parrot Cottages, it is one of the most peaceful, serene places you could find. Waking up to the chirping of birds and seeing kangaroos grazing outside the window was a true highlight for our grandson. An abundant supply of fresh firewood made for a warm & cosy weekend. Only to be surpassed by an incredible evening spent around the firepit watching the sun setting over the Otways whilst roasting marshmallows. There really was something for everyone on this weekend retreat- from hiking to the waterfall, feeding the farm animals with our host Nicole, enjoying an infrared sauna, reading a book by the fire, even our dog Zali was welcome to enjoy the setting. Our host Nicole went over and above to ensure our stay was memorable. Our cottage was clean, well-resourced and extremely comfortable. We would highly recommend booking a stay at King Parrot Cottages; we can't wait to come back in Summer to use the pool and make it our annual family get away.

This was the best place I’ve stayed at through air BnB - the cottages were so cute and peaceful and the location is absolutely stunning. The sauna that overlooks the bush was a big highlight, as well as all the walking tracks around the property. Everything was so well setup for a romantic weekend away, there was even freshly ground coffee for the morning. Loved staying here!!

I've stayed at King Parrot at least 4 times. It is a beautiful place to stay to get out of the city and into nature. It's peaceful and the cottages are cute and clean. There's lots of walking tracks to stretch your legs and you're not far from the cute little shops in Birregurra. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and getting serenaded by a kookaburra. The sauna and massage room are an excellent touch for further relaxation. King Parrot themselves are very easy to deal with and very responsive - making it so easy to stay there.

We had a wonderful stay at Bluegum Cottage. The cottage itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved exploring the waterfall trail, and Nicole made our kids’ day by organizing a fantastic animal feeding session. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy quality time with family. Really enjoyed the stay, it was raining most of the time but was happy to stay inside the property with our pups and relax. Managed to squeeze in a beautiful walk to the waterfall, just beware of leaches.

We stayed two nights at King Parrot Cottages and absolutely loved our time there. We brought all our own food, so there was no need to drive anywhere. Everything we needed was right on the property. The walking tracks are right on the property and lead through breathtaking natural bushland, full of native wildlife, tall trees, and peaceful scenery. It truly felt like a private retreat in nature. The cottage was spotless and thoughtfully prepared, with small touches that showed real care from the hosts. The sauna was a wonderful bonus, perfect for relaxing after a walk. We also appreciated 2 pm check in and 11 am check out, a simple but kind gesture that made the stay feel even more welcoming. If you’re looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway with no need to leave the property, this place is a hidden gem. Highly recommended.

We recently hosted the most amazing yoga retreat at King Parrot and could not be happier with the location. From the first email, Nicole was incredibly supportive and helpful and responded to every query very quickly. The location itself is stunning and our guests loved the rooms (esp the cosy fireplaces) and the incredible nature that surrounds the property. Seeing all the wildlife was also a hit. We are really grateful to Nicole and her team for making everything about our retreat such a success and we will definitely be hosting more events here (as well as a few personal family trips I suspect). I was in town for the great ocean road marathon and stayed at king parrot cottages. What a beautiful place to come back to. The grounds are stunning and peaceful and the cottage was so cosy. Bed was massive and so comfy. Being able to recover with a nice soak in the bath and to use the sauna on site was such a treat. Being dog friendly was a bonus so I could bring my pooch with me. Nicole is a very kind and helpful host. I didn’t want to leave. I’ll be back again for sure!

Such a lovely cottage. We spent two nights with our dog for the great ocean road marathon. 30 mins to Lorne, roughly 2 hours from Melbourne. Nicole’s instructions were super clear; great local recommendations. The cottage looks exactly like in the photos.
