I want to start by thanking the paralegal, Ms. Candance. She was the only positive experience I had with this firm, and I hope she works somewhere that matches her professionalism once she becomes licensed.
Unfortunately, my experience with this law firm as a whole was extremely disappointing. My first meeting with Megan Kiefer seemed promising, and she appeared interested in helping me. However, she made several commitments that were never honored. Shortly after, I was passed off to attorney Katherine Gurly, who was consistently rude and unprofessional.
Calls were rarely returned in a timely manner, and when she did call back, she spoke to me as if I was a bother and made comments about being busy with other cases. She also spoke to me in a condescending manner that felt completely inappropriate.
At one point, Katherine informed me that my children had received settlement offers, but claimed I would receive less than 70% of the amount. When I asked to speak with Megan regarding what was originally discussed with me, Katherine became short and dismissive, telling me “the fees are the fees.” After speaking with Megan again, it became clear that the information I was given during the contract signing was misleading.
After terminating the firm, I requested an itemized bill. Instead of receiving it, I was told by Katherine that she had spoken to a doctor on my behalf and had a “good offer” for me — but she refused to tell me the offer unless I reinstated my contract with them. Fortunately, the entire phone call was recorded on my nanny cam. I will be submitting all evidence to the appropriate boards and authorities.
I never received the itemized bill I requested. Instead, they sent me a copy of an email they wrote to the adjuster claiming I owed them money, along with a copy of the contract. This raises serious concerns about their billing practices.
Please do your research before hiring this firm. Be careful about who you allow to represent you — not everyone has your best interest at heart.
Outstanding legal services. The team and Kiefer and Kiefer was knowledgeable, responsive, professional and handled my case with extreme care from start to finish. The goal is not to be a client again but if I had to choose, I’ll choose them again.

Just horrible service. They just wanted to represent me and then never called with updates and would return calls days later. Everytime making it seem as if I was a bother. I thought lawyers worked for you. These people just work for the percentage. By end of my case I did not get nearly 40% of the settlement. It went to the lawyers and doctors after they claimed they could negotiate those prices. I was left hardly anything after I was the one who suffered (mentally, emotionally, and financially from the whole accident) while they just set up multiple doctor appointments to eat away at all of the money. I would not recommended them to my worst enemy.
