Awesome experience with our private charter for 5. Our guide Grayson was tremendous, very knowledgeable about the area, great captain and fisherman, and made everyone feel super comfortable about the trip and process. Worked hard to make sure we found the fish - catching our max halibut haul, and everyone finding success! When we return, we'll request Grayson again!
We had an amazing outing with captain Jake, he put us on the fish early and make the entire experience memorable. The boat and equipment are top notch. I would definitely go out with KFFC again!

Booked a Ketchikan Wildlife Sightseeing Tour with Grayson pretty last minute while on an Alaskan family cruise & our plans to see wildlife in Sitka were thwarted by weather before getting to Ketchikan.
We got lucky with a lovely weather day and he was great. Threw a fish to some eagles where I was able to get an awesome shot, very knowledgeable about the area, in general, and the wildlife around. A humpback also swam up right past us. A surreal experience. Would absolutely recommend booking with Grayson and going on one of his tours. Thanks for the great time!

Excellent fishing charter. Capt. Adam had us on fish early and knew exactly when it was time to move to a more productive spot. We were so tired from catching fish that afterwards all we could do is pass out for a while after getting home. If your looking for a family friendly vessel that'll give you a good time this is the charter for you

A must for bald eagles up close and personal
Really wonderful experience for my children and me. Grayson was incredibly personable and told us a lot about the area and its wildlife. We threw frozen fish off the boat to attract bald eagles and one even caught a fish as my son threw it- it was his favorite excursion of the trip! I get sea sick easily and I was completely fine during this adventure. Thanks for the awesome experience, Grayson!

Captain Andrew was fantastic. We had the best experience. Caught halibut, cod and king salmon. I think Captain Andrew had just as big a smile as my 17 year old son. Highly recommend. Andrew was extremely friendly and knowledgeable

Excellent time fishing and fish we did. We caught so many fish that we had to pass out when we got home from playing so hard. Definitely the best option for anyone visiting Ketchikan
We took a 4 hour expedition out with Grayson while in Ketchikan as part of a cruise and I can attest this was the best 4 hour fishing trip we've ever done. We started out bottom fishing for halibut, pacific cod, lingcod and rock fish. We knew that the season was super early for King Salmon so we had basically decided that chance was out for us. After landing 4 halibut, a pacific cod and a rock fish in the first hour we decided to try our hand at the King Salmon where my husband landed two, one a keeper! 3 of 5 of our party unfortunately got sea sick during the trip and Grayson was able to not only keep 2 of us on fish but also orient the vessel and check in on the others to minimize their discomfort and ensure everyone was still able to have a good time. You can't predict the fish, or the sea but Grayson was an awesome captain/guide and human. The booking process and pricing was transparent and there were no surprises. All around I would 10/10 recommend. I actually love that they don't partner with the cruiselines. They met us right at the dock and had us back to port on time whereas many people that booked through the cruise had difficult experiences with the unexpected augmented port schedule that day. I will 100% fish with them again if we get the chance to go back to Ketchikan.

Great Fishing Trip!
Fishing excursion was great. Our tour guide, Grayson, made the experience fantastic. He provided a personal experience for my family; getting to know us, sharing information about the Ketchikan area, fishing, and other local wildlife. We caught 6 fish total, some unique and shipped halibut and cod home for future eating. I would highly recommend Ketchikan Finest Fishing Charter.
Great boat, great Captain, great times!
We went on a 2.5-3 hour whale watching tour a few weeks ago during our cruise stop in Ketchikan. We didn't plan on taking one at first but someone mentioned this business and highly recommended it. We called and met Judah at the boat on the dock to check out the boat and discuss the tour as well as to make sure it would be back in time for our cruise departure. On the phone he claimed he had the best boat in the fleet up there and we just figured this was just a sales claim to get the booking. After checking out the boat, this wasn't just boasting to get a sale, it actually was a very nice boat. It was very clean, the engines looked like they were brand new and the boat looked pretty new as well. We were very impressed with this boat! After discussing the trip with him, he was very specific that since he caters to the cruise travelers, he absolutely makes sure you will return on time to your boat. Between the very clean boat and guarantee that we'd make our boat return time, we took a chance and wasn't disappointed at all. We ended up taking off and there were only a few other people with us on the trip. This allowed us to get an intimate tour and have good conversations with Judah and the other passengers. Although we didn't see any whales due to us going early in the migration season, we did see many sea lions and bald eagles as well as some beautiful waterfalls and other scenic areas on the islands. The lunch was very good as we chose the salmon wrap since we were in Alaska. Chips, homemade cookies, and water were also available. There was even hot coffee, hot chocolate, and hot cider as well which we enjoyed in the cold weather. One thing we liked and were impressed with was his story as a family man and family business. Although he recently started this business, he talked about all his years in Alaska and the different fishing industries he was in. This is where he gained his experience on the water and to know the hotspots of the local wildlife. He also ties his business into the local businesses as well. The sandwiches and cookies are supplied from a local small restaurant. The shirts and magnets and other swag is also supplied from a local shop. Anything he needs that can be supplied from the local businesses, he will get from them. Don't let the low number of reviews fool you, this is a newer top notch whale watching (and lunch!!) experience. As guaranteed, he got us back to our boat in plenty of time! If we ever make it back to Alaskan again, we will definitely be doing this trip again. We wish Judah and his family the best of luck and hope more people get to experience his boat and tour.
Halibut trip
My family and I stopped in Ketchikan during an Alaska cruise and decided to book a 4 hour halibut fishing excursion with Ketchikan's Finest Fishing Charters. It turned out to be the highlight of our trip! Everything went smoothly from booking the trip to having our fish delivered to our house when we returned. We couldn't have asked for a better day on the water. Captain Andrew was the perfect guide and gave us a true bucket-list experience. We limited out on halibut and even brought home a few cod as well. If you're ever in Ketchikan (even if it's just for a few hours on a cruise stop) I highly recommend checking them out.
