I came here a few years back and lost a good amount of weight from it. I lost 40 lbs. During this time they did not have injections like semiglutide. I lost weight from phentermine with controlled blood pressure. They didn’t reach out to my provider to confirm if prescribing phentermine was okay, but my BP was controlled so this really worked out and helped me.
I recently went back hoping to get the same treatment, but now that weight loss injections are “trending,” they introduced me to a semiglutide. I didn’t have much knowledge of how it worked and how much it would cost me, so I didn’t ask the appropriate questions. I was hoping they would provide me that information. This place doesn’t accept insurance so most visits and medication is out of pocket, specifically for weight loss. I don’t recommend coming here if you’re not financially prepared for the amount of semiglutide you need to reach your goal weight. I paid $100 each visit and some visits were just taking vitals and recording your weight. I paid $600 out of pocket to try the injections. However, the way it was explained to me was if I paid for this, it would cover three months supply which was why I went forward with it. Once I was out of supplies, which only covered a month, I was given the option to order more for another $600. I did ask if I could try my previous treatment. THIS TIME they reached out to my provider and my provider declined, so I couldn’t receive phentermine anymore. I understand this is for my safety, but I’m curious why they allowed it before but didn’t allow it this time? I did not continue with more supplies because it was too expensive for me.
I also think they need better nurses that is willing to give their patients clearer information about pricing and the quantity of supplies. It comes off a though they are just out for your money versus your actual care. Then again, that is almost everywhere now, but this place is not the same as before.
I have been doing HRT for a couple months now. I can totally feel the changes. Best prices around. I called about 10 HRT clinics and this was the best one. Staff is always so nice and easy to talk with. I can always get in when I need to.

Thank you for the 5-star review Sara!
I’ve had such a wonderful experience with KC Wellness Center! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome, informed, and genuinely cared for. Everyone is incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to explain each step, making the entire process feel comfortable and personalized.
The results I’ve experienced have been fantastic. The facility is clean, modern, and relaxing.
I highly recommend KC Wellness Center to anyone looking for a supportive team. I’m so glad I found them!
I was there on the 18th for a initial consultation . Saw NP Evans. At least I am assuming she was NP. She would not let me talk and explain to her at first a complication that I had that would probably prevent what I was there for (and it did) and further explain the places I had already been (why I left them), the conditions ED I was already being treated for and the main reason I was there to see if she could take over a Tri-Mix RX I had.
I was exhausted but did not want to move the appointment a second time out of courtesy.
Its a VERY big red flag to me when the provider I am seeing does NOT listen to the patient. Yes I know she needed some medication dose clarifications but most of what she needed I would have told her, AND it was critical information, AND IT could have waited five minutes on her part for me to let me speak. She simply seemed to not care if anything I said might have had value. Not acceptable.
If your patient (or potential customer in this case and patient) tells you they have something important to say YOU be quiet listen. Former Paramedic here. They are your very best source of information.
I do not really blame her for not helping me as it was a condition outside of her control that stopped it for the primary reason I booked the appointment (P Shot) and its her call on the RX but I disagree with it.
She went over the pricing sheet with me at the end and I got a copy. This place DOES NOT take insurance except for your lab work. Not sure about CareCredit Its $250 for new patient work up and labs. One time fee. Paid to the NP and Clinic she told me.
But what bothers me is that even though your an established patient its $65 for every follow up visit. Medication Follow Up. $100 bucks. I have to wonder what ELSE they are going to charge item per item, you, that are not listed. God knows what a P Shot or Something Called Shockwave Therapy would cost you. I am betting TONS of money. I know they are very very expensive.
My main concern (and a pretty valid one) is that if a provider will not listen to me the, patient initially , then HOW could I expect her or KC Wellness to listen to me when I tell them something when I have thousands of dollars invested in the treatment P. Shot Shockwave, whatever. down the road.
I am sorry but I left feeling (after the above) that I am probably going to be very relucent in 5 or 6 moths moving forward with then and investing the kind of money we are looking at, to try and treat my condition, and that I would be nickel and dimed for everything.
I am not recommending TO GO or NOT TO GO to KC Wellness for your treatment needs. Most seem happy with them. That is UP to you. I just felt my experience need to be shared after thinking on it for a day or so.
Be Safe and God Bless.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience William. We appreciate thoughtful feedback and the opportunity to provide clarity.
At KC Wellness Center, we take patient communication and informed decision-making very seriously. Our providers follow a structured consultation process to ensure we gather accurate medical history, medication details, and safety information before discussing or recommending any treatment options. This is especially important when evaluating prescription therapies or advanced procedures, where patient safety must come first.
We are sorry you felt unheard during your visit. That is never our intention, and we genuinely value patient input and dialogue.
We would also like to clarify for anyone reading that we offer a complimentary consultation so individuals can fully understand our services, treatment options, and fee structure before choosing to move forward. In this case, the consultation lasted approximately 45 minutes with a licensed medical provider and no charges were incurred for that visit.
Regarding pricing, we strive to be transparent and provide written information so patients can make informed decisions without pressure. We do not bill insurance for specialty services, which allows us to offer personalized care and flexible scheduling without third-party restrictions.
We welcome the opportunity to address any remaining questions directly and encourage anyone with concerns to contact our office at (816) 214-5276 or email at info@kcmedicalwc.com.
