Absolutely wonderful place! Decor is awesome and the food is amazing. In town for the night and needed some gluten free food so I found this place on Google maps. I am glad I did because that brisket rice bowl was absolutely amazing. I wanted to sit and eat but needed to get back to the room. This place has halal meat which makes it even better. Also, I read on the tables they are very eco friendly and ask politely for people to pick up after themselves to keep their costs low which I give that an A++++++++.

The ambiance is warm and welcoming, truly feels like a cozy mom-and-pop spot where the family is putting in real effort. Totally worth the 45-minute drive—definitely coming back to try the brisket next time! Amazing, subtle flavor in the chicken—super juicy and not dry like you often get elsewhere. It’s halal, and they even had arrangements for iftar along with a prayer area, which was a really thoughtful touch.

My wife and I are so happy this restaurant opened up. My wife is gluten garlic-free and they were very willing to accommodate her allergies. Going on to eat sometimes can be difficult, and we enjoy going there. I even even shared it with co-workers who brought his family there. Loving the food!

I was already disappointed by the location, which feels hidden and uninviting, but the service experience made it worse. The prices are honestly unnecessary for the amount of food you receive. The portions do not justify what you’re paying. What really frustrated me was the preorder situation. I placed my order around 4:30 and was told it would be ready within 15 minutes, so I arrived at 5:00 expecting it to be done. I specifically asked if there was rotisserie chicken ready to go, and the server, Fahad, confirmed that there was. I even double-checked to make sure it was actually ready since I was fasting and needed to get home in time to break my fast. He assured me it was. However, two customers who ordered after I arrived received their food before me, even though I had preordered. When I asked about my chicken, I was told it would still take more time. That completely contradicted what I had been told earlier. Since I was on a time limit, I asked them to remove the chicken and give me the rest of my order, and instead of acknowledging the mistake, the server said it was somehow my fault. Overall, the poor communication, long wait despite preordering, and high prices for small portions made this a very disappointing experience. I wouldn’t return.

You don't work in my kitchen to know how many orders I have before your order which was placed at the counter besides your phone order. As I stated your phone order was ready before you even arrived. You added on to your order at the counter and expected to be done right away and it took me 6 minutes only. someone who ask if the chicken is ready means it doesn't need to cook for 1 and a half hour more. We dont pre-package any of our food that i can pick up and give to my customers. It is only fair for me to finish everyone's order which was placed before your add-on order. They placed their order before you even came to pick it up. How is that fair for those people? I treat every customer equally and fairly as it should be.

I notice they overcook the chicken in the charred sandwich. It makes it really gross and rubbery to chew please stop overcooking the chicken. had to remove most of the chicken from my sandwich because the texture was really gross. other than that food is usually good

"This place deserves a review" now it is the other way around. It is now "The review deserves the place". My best friend's dad own this place so we went tonight. This resturaunt makes me like the fat in meat now. If you want a 1 person meal, get the 1/2 pound smoked brisket with a vanilla shake. The milkshake is ELITE, best I have ever had not a hyperbole. I really like the sign that says "Charred" then real forks taped to the sign. In the end, just go here. You are comitting a crime by not doing so.And come quick, complementary drinks for the opening! 😊 (I promise this was not bias)

Charred Fork has a fun, rustic vibe . they’ve got wooden tables and even forks/utensils used as wall decor. The place is very bright, and everyone we interacted with was really nice. Big plus: they serve halal meat. We tried the brisket rice bowl, and it was built a little differently than I expected (in a good way): rice is kind of layered in the middle/bottom, then brisket, and topped with lettuce, tomato, and onions (pretty much like the pics). Good flavor. Worth ordering. It had more of a kick a bit more spice than I thought it would. Just keep it in mind. I’m guessing it’s too barbecue sauce to use that’s got to kick. Overall, tasty food, friendly service, and a cool setup. Their location is in a way that’s a bit easy to miss unfortunately. I would definitely make the trek over here and give this family owned restaurant a try.

4/5 for food, 5/5 for hospitality The veggie/ chicken pizza was really good! The bottom was crispy, and the seasoned crust had a nice crunch on the outside while staying soft in the middle. It was loaded with toppings and definitely very filling. The only downside for me was the sauce — it tasted a little too sweet in my opinion. The owner was super nice and checked on all of the customers to make sure everything was good, which I really appreciated. 5/5 stars for hospitality! Overall, I’d definitely come back.

Our family stopped in this evening for Iftar. First off the brisket is some of the best in the Midwest. The pizzas are BIG and ready to devour. Also be sure to try the specialty beverages. 10/10 would recommend this to anyone I love!
