We were with another groomer for years and were content with their service but when they closed I searched for another dependable place that would provide the same level of care. I have had Malachy groomed 3 times and they must be doing something right behind the scenes because he is sooo excited to get in the door, not to mention how adorable he looks after. Cavaliers can be tricky to cut well but he always looks beautiful. Thank you!
I wanted to personally thank Eric for his amazing professionalism, knowledge, and transparency. We had an abnormally aggressive dog that he was willing to work with. He went above and beyond to try to help us and the pup. He really cared about the safety of our children and we are forever grateful for him being so honest.

I highly recommend Katz Dog K9 board and train program. We turned to them for some help with our five-year-old German Shepherd (Heist) after some behavioral issues started to emerge. Eric came to our house to assess the situation and understand our objectives, and gave us several options, with the full board and train being the best fit.
The communication and transparency from the start was amazing. I met with the whole team to talk about goals and understand the problematic behaviors. They developed a basic training plan with clear objectives and made sure they understood my concerns and asked detailed questions to understand not just the behaviors I was seeing, but also the situation in which the behaviors occurred. From there, it was daily updates (with photos and videos). The videos were especially helpful as learning tools for me, as they demonstrated commands, behaviors, and play techniques. It was also wonderful to see how much Heist adored Eric, Lucas, and Jasmine. It was hard having him away from home, but he was having a blast and living his best life.
As the course went on, they adjusted the training around Heist’s abilities as well as their applied expertise in what he (and I) would most benefit from based on their observations. Heist came into the course with solid basic commands, so the team adjusted the course to meet him individual capabilities and to keep challenging him. I really appreciated that the course was structured, but flexible and individualized to the dog, since it really maximized the value we all got from it.
The weekly training sessions where I came in were very effective in transferring knowledge and best practices. The whole team was so kind, encouraging, and patient with me as I was learning along with Heist – they wanted me to be confident and capable and took as much time as was needed to answer questions, demonstrate techniques, and then hep me master them. The play-based training approach was incredibly effective with Heist, and I now understand how to leverage that to keep him motivated and get out ahead of possible problems. I also feel much more confident in both our abilities to handle potentially stress-inducing situations, and to get out ahead of them to keep Heist calm and safe.
Since coming home, Heist is listening and responding to commands (his recall is amazing!), walking well on a leash (so much less stress!), and best of all, enjoying that I now am better equipped to play with him the way he clearly loves (tug and fetch all day, every day). I can’t recommend their dog training services highly enough!
I started taking my puppy to day care for socialization and he has fallen in love with day care. Katz K9 has excellent communication Throughout the day, if you ask for any updates and they post pictures daily on their page to see your pup having fun. The staff has always been so warm and welcoming Hank gets so excited to walk through the door and get greeted. Through structured and monitored play time he comes home tuckered out each time and gets to keep maintaining well social skills. Highly would recommend the day care services.
Eric was very impressive. He came in to my house and taught me and my family a few different ways to fix my dogs possession problem. He was very knowledgeable and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to friends and family.
We had our 1 year old German Shepherd, Arwen, go through the board and train program, and we honestly cannot say enough amazing things about our experience with Katz K9. We chose an abbreviated program based on Eric’s recommendation, and it was the right call. From day one, Eric was incredibly honest, transparent, and knowledgeable, setting realistic expectations while clearly caring about what was best for our pup.
Eric and Lucas were absolutely phenomenal throughout the entire training process. We received constant updates, photos, and videos. It was so reassuring to know Arwen was not only being trained but truly cared for. We joked that she might not want to come home because she was having such a great time! They were always enthusiastic about her progress which made us so happy to know she was learning so much. Another thing we appreciated was that we could go for lessons—this made a huge difference in helping us understand the commands and confidently continue training at home.
Even three months later, we are still blown away by how much Arwen learned. Before training, walking her was extremely stressful—she reacted to other dogs, bikers, and runners every single time. While she still has the occasional moment around other dogs, we now feel confident handling her, and that confidence has clearly carried over to her as well. Anytime we have questions or want to share great progress, Eric and Lucas are quick to respond!
We wholeheartedly recommend Katz K9 to anyone considering training for their dog—it was a game changer for us. As an added bonus, we now have a place we fully trust for both Arwen and our other dog, Bear, to stay when we travel. Knowing they are loved, safe, and well cared for gives us such peace of mind. We also love having the option of daycare on long workdays or extended outings.

We had tremendous success with the day-train program. Our dog is much less reactive and so much more mature now that he understands what’s expected of him. Eric and his team taught us how to communicate better with our dog while still letting him fulfill some of his doggie instincts. He is happier and more cooperative, and we are so grateful.
We recently sent our 4-year-old Australian Shepherd/Lab mix, Tucker, to Katz K9’s 4-week board and train program, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the entire experience. From start to finish, Eric and Lucas were absolutely amazing—not only with Tucker, but with us as well.
We received regular updates and videos, and it was clear Tucker was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We were even able to visit a few times to learn his new commands, and both Eric and Lucas made us feel so confident and comfortable in learning how to work with him. Lucas was especially wonderful with our kids, taking the time to demonstrate and involve them in the training.
Tucker has always been a good dog, but he had stopped listening and completely lost his recall, which made it hard to take him everywhere with us like we used to. We were nervous we might not get that side of him back—but thanks to Eric and Lucas, we did! Now Tucker has reliable recall and obedience again, which means we can confidently take him to the lake, on the boat, and on all of our family adventures. More importantly, he’s confident again, too.
We highly recommend Katz K9 to anyone considering training. As a huge bonus, we now have a trusted place to board Tucker when we travel, where he gets to enjoy daycare, make doggie friends, and be with staff he loves.

1st time we ever boarded our Rocco. We felt very comfortable from the very beginning and were completely satisfied when we picked him up. Everyone is so friendly and go out of their way to accommodate your needs. We have several more trips booked with Katz for this summer.
I've done training with two dogs through them and I recommend them without hesitation. Immediate results after at home training sessions that helped us all learn how to do better with our pooches.
Our two golden retrievers were groomed by Cindy this week and I'll tell you it was the best grooming our dogs ever had. Cindy did an amazing job and I'll only go to her from now on for our goldens grooming. It's very hard to find a groomer who knows how to groom a golden retriever and we finally found one! Cindy was so kind and gentle with our babies. She knows how to handle senior dogs with aging issues. Our babies came home smelling wonderful and their fur was so soft! Thank you so much Cindy!
