Had a wonderful experience here today. I had a full body oil massage by Nini. She was absolutely amazing and professional! These techniques what she applied were so good for the knots of my muscles but it was in the same time such a relaxing experience. The receptionist, Fiona was super kind and helpful during the whole process. She kindly explained how this massage will look like as I have never been in a proper Thai massage before. Overall a 10/10 experience from the beginning till the end, thank you so much :)
I booked online (great!) and arrived ready to be scrubbed clean in a proper steamy hammam, as advertised. WRONG. As others have said it was a dry room, which I have never experienced for a hammam as the steam is integral to the scrub. When I asked I was reassured it would be steaming soon- it didn’t. They literally have a heat producing device like a sauna, which I’ve never seen in a hammam room before. When I saw some regular cheap body wash and sketchy reused gloves you can purchase at dm/Rossman/a grocery store I was told “no they will use different gloves” … turns out they don’t. I’m still so sketched out how many bodies were scrubbed nearly raw with those cheap, gross gloves. Unrelating to hygiene— my skin has never felt so tight and dry and awful after a hammam experience. The woman herself was nice but the products and overall effect was horrendous for over €100. It’s a pity since the room itself is beautiful. Please save your time and find somewhere else or go to a general bathhouse for much cheaper. I could have stayed home and scrubbed my skin red in the comfort of my own home for less than €5.
Please stop advertising this treatment as luxury and full of steam when it really is neither.
