A feleségem masszázsra foglalt nekem időpontot a Siófok Karma Masszázsban . Amikor megérkeztem a recepcióra, szóltam a recepciósnak, hogy időpontom van, de barátságtalanul nézett rám, és anélkül válaszolt, hogy ellenőrizte volna, nincs-e foglalás. Megkértem, hogy ellenőrizze, hogy a foglalás az én nevemen vagy a feleségemen van-e, de megismételte, hogy nincs. Megmutattam neki az e-mailes foglalási visszaigazolást, majd felhívtam a feleségemet, hogy magyarul beszéljek vele. A recepciós lány azonban tiszteletlen és arrogáns volt, röviden a szék tetején ült, mintha a medence partján lenne, nem pedig a recepción. A thai masszázsterapeuta azonban tökéletesen elvégezte a munkáját, 10/10.
My wife booked a massage for me at the Siófok Karma Massage . When I arrived at reception, I told the receptionist I had an appointment, but she looked me unfriendly and replied without checking that there was no reservation. I asked her to check if the reservation was in my name or my wife's, but she repeated that there was no reservation. I showed her the email booking confirmation, then called my wife to speak to her in Hungarian. However, the girl at reception was disrespectful and arrogant, sitting with her feet on top of the chair in a short as if she was at a poolside, not a reception. However, the Thai massage therapist did her job perfectly, a 10/10.
After a heavy few days of horseback archery training, I was really looking forward to a solid session at one of Budapest's many massage parlors. I chose Karma Thai Massage because their pricing was transparently displayed in the window and the location was close to my hotel.
I opted for a 60-minute Traditional Thai Massage for just under 15,000 HUF. I was led to a treatment room and asked to change into provided loose-fitting pants and a t-shirt.
I checked my watch as I entered the room at 12:28 PM, and was told the masseuse would arrive in a couple of minutes. I lay down on one of two floor mattresses. Given that the parlor did not seem busy and there were other rooms with elevated massage beds, I was surprised I wasn't asked about my room or setup preference.
While the massage technique itself wasn't terrible, several operational factors made it hard to relax:
- Attire & Depth: Having been to many massages, I have never been asked to keep a t-shirt on. The extra fabric layer prevented the treatment from being as deep or thorough as I needed.
- Lack of Communication: The masseuse did not ask about pressure preferences or target focus areas, and didn't speak a word beyond the initial greeting.
- Atmosphere: She left the room door partially open. Even with my eyes closed, daylight streaming through the crack ruined the ambience and made relaxing difficult, despite the background music.
- Shortchanged on Time: She wrapped up the session at 1:26 PM - ending several minutes early, without accounting for her delayed start time into the room.
When I went downstairs, the staff asked how the massage was. I provided this exact feedback on the spot, but received no apology, explanation, or acknowledgement of the cut-short time. A couple of minutes might seem minor to some, but at this price point, every minute counts. Between the awkward attire, lack of consultation, and early finish, it was a disappointing end to my time in Budapest.
Updated based on the "response" from the owner: Even within a traditional Thai massage, "dry massage" doesn't strictly require a loose-fitting t-shirt particularly if a client prefers otherwise, and their response completely glosses over the main operational complaints - specifically, ending the session early (not getting a full 60 minutes), the lack of communication regarding pressure or focus areas and not acknowledging or apologizing for the shortcomings when they were reported in person.

Traditional Thai Massage is traditionally a dry massage, which is why it is performed in comfortable, loose-fitting clothing rather than directly on the skin. It is also traditionally performed on a floor mattress, which allows the therapist to use the techniques and movements that are characteristic of Traditional Thai Massage. Our other rooms with massage beds are designed for different treatments, and using those beds for Traditional Thai Massage would not be the safest or most suitable option.
On the day of your visit, the other rooms were already reserved for treatments scheduled in those rooms, so we assigned the most suitable room available based on our bookings and capacity at the time.
We are also sorry that the light coming through the door affected your experience. Our therapists are happy to close the door completely upon request, so we would have been glad to make the room darker for you had we known that this was important to your comfort.
Our therapists are experienced professionals, and we place great importance on providing authentic treatments in accordance with the traditional techniques. At the same time, we understand that every guest has different preferences and expectations, and we are always happy to adapt where possible.

Had traditional thai massage yesterday with Nim .I can't describe how great it was.i had very stiff neck and shoulders before and after the session felt so much better absolutely recomend! They will find your pain spots! Place is tide, staff friendly and speaks English. Prices normal.nice temperature and music.very relaxing.
Az értékelesem kizárólag a szalonnak szól nem a masszőröknek.
Páros masszázsra volt foglalásunk, megérkezésünk után felkísértek minket és sem egy papucsot, sem egy pohár vizet nem kaptunk. Cipővel mentünk fel, majd leültettek a masszázs ágyra és várakoztunk, mert az időpontra mèg nem érkeztek meg a masszőrök. Ezt követően a masszázsnak semmilyen hangulata nem volt (közel 30.000Ft-ért elvártam volna, hogy legalább zene menjen) helyette 2 ventillátor zümmögő hangját hallgathattuk 1órán keresztül. Számomra csalódás volt maga a hely, több másik helyen már jártam azokhoz képest itt az összegért nem kaptunk minőségi szolgàltatást.

A vendégeket ezalatt kérjük meg arra, hogy kényelmesen helyezkedjenek el, mert a masszőrök perceken belül érkeznek.
Vendégeink számára vizet a kanapék melletti kis asztalon kínálunk poharakkal együtt, amelyet szabadon lehet fogyasztani, ezt a nap folyamán sokszor pótoljuk is.
A zene szalonunkban egységesen, minden helyiségben folyamatosan szól. A masszőrük kérését követően a hangerőt természetesen azonnal megemeltük, hogy még kellemesebb legyen a környezet.

0/10. The lady was mean and lazy. She was hurting me during the massage. I asked her to be more gentle but she started to get mad at me in her language. Lights were turned on the whole time, she refused to turned them off. Kicking my hair all the time. Spent 30min massaging my back for a 1hour full body massage. I asked her to please massage another part because it was already a boring massage + 30min on the same spot … please which she refused and told me to wait 5 min ?? I went there to relax not train her for 30min on how to massage someone. I asked her to completely stop the massage after those 30min because it was stressing me more then relaxing me. Lazy lady. I am asking for a refund, this is not the service I paid for.
Reception lady was nice and professional.
