I brought my car in last spring to have the calipers painted. While the staff was very kind, and pick up and drop up were very smooth, I found that the job wasn’t very well done, with red paint being found all around the rotors. Now a year later the red paint is completely falling off, fully exposing the silver underneath, meaning I’ll have to get them touched-up/repeated already. They were very well maintained and the car wasn’t driven very much, so I unfortunately didn’t find the job worth the money spent.

While I understand you are frustrated, I will first start by apologizing to you about any inconvenience this has caused you. I would like to outline that our caliper painting service does not require us to remove the brake calipers from their position, which reflect the affordable price that you paid for the service (otherwise, it would have been more then triple what you paid), hence why a small amount of overspray on the rotor is completely fine, which by the way after a few drives , it would be gone.
The second point regarding the paint chipping, for aftermarket painted calipers, this is completely normal given that our Ottawa wingers are not light. Salt and road debris give no mercy to our cars unfortunately, hence why when this happens, you can get them touched up, or you are more than welcome to come by for that. We have had higher end cars that are not winter driven last 3-5 years before the paint started to fade away, so I hope you understand that road conditions and salt is not something we can control, & if we did, we would have made sure your calipers were not affected by it.

Great same day service
So pleased with this service! After terrible weather and living about 45minutes west of kanata. Kanata wheels was able to get me a new tire in a very reasonable amount of time so I could make it home safely on a full tire and not a spare. Really appreciate this timely solution to an unexpected flat tire in very messy road condotions!

Been going to kanata wheels for the past few years. Their warm welcomes and eagerness to always help out is unmatched. They always go above and beyond, and sometimes don’t even charge if the repairs are simple/quick. Tariq the owner is one of the kind hearted business men I have encountered. I came to find my mirror was broken when I was at Costco, when I called Kanata Wheels, even though they don’t do body work, they asked me to come by, and they ended up fixing it and putting it back together without charging me. All their staff have great passion for cars, which is why I love their energy. Keep it up 👍
Lost a customer for life. Staff were great, owner not so much. I had tires installed on one of my classic cars here last year. OK job aside from a few scratches on the rims. However, today my wifes car happened to breakdown in and she parked in their lot while she called for help. Staff were great, but the owner came out and said to move the car because it was "bothering his customers". She politely moved the car. Turns out all the car needed was a spark plug wire, I ubered to her and fixed it in 5 minutes. I WAS a customer...guess now I'll my new wheels and tires for my XKR and my new winter tires for the Subaru someplace else.

First of all, I would like to thank you for sharing your concern. I tried to get your information in our system but there was nothing here under your name or any of these cars mentioned, you might have mistaken us with another shop?
While I understand your wife’s car breaking down is frustrating, but I also suggest that it is very important to be honest and mention the entire story. Your wife came into our lot with coolant leaking all over the place, parked improperly (not in a parking spot), asked our customers to help her open the hood and stood there refusing to talk to anybody. After numerous customer complaints regarding the car being improperly parked, and after the staff trying to ask her if they can help in any way due to the car being an inconvenience in our lot, which I hope you understand why we wouldn’t want coolant leaking all over our lot nor a car randomly parked with an open hood, your wife then decided to aggressively & unmannerly respond back, then came out of the car almost attacking our staff members with her hand gestures, hence why at that point the manager needed to get involved, which he first asked her if there’s anything we can do to help, and when she declined, he politely ask her to leave the lot.
Clint, I will be more than happy to share the video footage here on google and social media showing your wife’s behaviour towards the Kanata Wheels staff.

What a great business! I had two tires both with minor damage that looked like they would need replacing. Or at the very least a repair if it was even feasible given the proximity to the shoulder.
Walked into Kanata wheels and they had to look at them right away. Rather than looking to sell me new tires, they took the time to leak test/pressure tested them. Instead of replacing or repairing, they confirmed that they were both well within expectations. No need to replace, and they wouldn't even take any money for their time.
Can't recommend highly enough!
