Dr. Irene is unquestionably the best dentist ive seen on Bali. She has an expert hand for cosmetic dentistry (she did my veneers) and there is no one i trust to do my work other than her now. She not only has the best equipment and skills, she also has unique touches like warm neck pillows and essential oils to keep you at ease during your visit.
I have been living in Bali for 4 years and have been with her since before she had her own practise. What she has now created here at Kalm is superior to any dental experience i had in my 38 years in the States. I am so grateful to her and her whole team. Thank you Dr. Irene. See you soon 🙏

Had such a good experience at Kalm Dental today. I got my teeth cleaned and had a cavity treated, and honestly I didn’t feel any pain at all. The experience at Kalm Dental Care was mixed, but overall good. There are a lot of easy-to-action points for improvement.
The booking process was easy, I contacted via WhatsApp and Kalm were responsive to all messages and easily slotted me in to a same-day appointment roughly one-hour after I messaged. Availability is very good, as I believe there is a lot of competition in the area.
When I showed up, the receptionist was friendly and I filled in some basic forms, various questions already asked via WhatsApp were repeated which felt unnecessary. Surely these could have been pre-filled by the receptionist to save time? Or not asked via WhatsApp beforehand?
The facilities from the reception, to the toilet, to the dentists room were all clean.
The appointment was on-time, and the dentist was friendly. I had a teeth cleaning session, during this the experience was good, with the dental assistant being particularly good at her job. Post-treatment, there was some feedback given to my oral health and some pictures taken pre and post teeth cleaning which was good to see.
However, there was no detailed feedback/areas for improvement in terms of flossing more efficiently, any particular areas in the mouth to clean more efficiently etc. which I would normally expect to receive.
Given that the appointment finished early and the calendar was on the screen throughout showing no upcoming appointments anytime soon, I felt the overall experience was quite rushed. My teeth did not feel as clean as they normally would post-session, as the polishing was very quick.
Cost-wise, the experience should have been better for the price. Cost was 500K, with no hidden fees/charges. Competitors seem to charge 400K or as low as 300K from my research, so this is about as expensive as it gets locally, without a premium experience. This said, nothing was uncomfortable and whilst I would not pay this premium price again, I could still recommend it if you are located nearby and it is convenient. With some extra research you may find a better/cheaper dentist though.

Best experience I’ve ever had at a dentist. I come to Bali at least once a year. This is now the place that I will be going. I will never go back to another dentist ever again. The team was so kind. They knew that I had had a bad experience before . They made sure that I felt comfortable and calm the entire time. I would give them 1000 stars.
