I came in with my dog Erza she had issues with reactivity to other dogs and leash pulling k9mania drastically changed my whole perception on dog training with the help they given us alongside with Erika who was our dogs trainer and Erika was AMAZING with her the way she understood Erza needs and behavior plus she was greatly informative with different tips and it honestly made things easier and more comfortable for me especially having to be away from Erza the whole experience was a 10/10 seeing the change in Erza how happy she became with being with the k9 family I am more than grateful and can't wait to get on board with the group classes
We sent our practice dachshund to k9 mania for a 3 week board and train. I never thought I would get to the point where I had to do something like this but it was getting very hard to manage the reactivity. They seemed like a great facility with great people and at a solid price. During the 3 weeks, we got a ton of updates with videos and photos which really helped us deal with the separation. We just got our dog back today and are very excited about his new skills with managing his reactions. There’s some sort of myth out there where people think he would come back as a brand new dog but that’s not true. He still has his craziness and personality (including some of the unwanted behaviors) but this is just the beginning of his journey. K9 Mania taught him how to navigate the world and environment around him and now he’s with us to practice those new skills. Super happy overall, would definitely recommend.
Jamie was an amazing trainer for our 2 Australian Labradoodles, Otis 8, Winter 3 yrs old. They were boarded there for training for 3 weeks and they came back trained with new skills and calm behaviors. They no longer pull on the leash while walking, bark at everyone and everything they see and are sleeping in their crates. Cannot recommend or thank this program enough! It has made life so much easier and calmer for us at home!

We met with K9Mania in late September with hopes of helping train our puppy. Our dog was becoming aggressive with our toddler, stealing food, eating everything around the house, jumping etc. I decided to do a board and train because training him at home with my toddler was becoming difficult. The initial session was an eval that basically just went over what the issues were and money. I decided to do 3 weeks for Ferris there with hopes he would come home trained. I was told his trainer would call me as they werent avilable the day i dropped him off to discuss everything. She never called so i called them and sent texts asking about my dog if he was ok. They aaid she left for the day and someone will call tomorrow. I had to call the next day to speak with her. One of mt first red flags. After the 3rd week I spoke to his trainer who agreed to have him there one more week that it couldnt hurt and would reinforce more so we paid an extra grand to keep him there. We missed him. We were so excited on his day of pickup to see a changed pup. He comes out from the back with the trainer and hes excited that was expected. But he honestly kept struggling with commands and walking and red flags were goin off for me. He was also SO SO THIN. I had no idea he lost so much weight i was not happy. Then the trainer didnt explain the e-coller to me and i left with him really not knowing what to do. It was rushed and brief. When we get home Ferris wouldnt reapond to the collar or commands. He went right back to his behavior and was acting out even more when i used the collar. One of the managers came and his main focus was the collar. He said i could use the collar and press the button if ferris cries in the crate. this was another red flag for me. Zapping my dog when he cries? feels insane. Fast foreard a month we have a new trainer and they are shocked that they used these methods on a puppy who know doesnt trust us at all. Im really sad that I was fooled by them hopefully others read this before going there.

Marisa, thank you for the review. For the sake of transparency, and for anyone reading, we want to clarify what actually took place with Ferris’s training and transition home. We are truly sorry for the challenges you’re facing, but we also need to address the significant inaccuracies in your account to protect our staff and our business.
Ferris came to us as a young rescue puppy with several issues you described during intake such as anxiety, noise sensitivity, reactivity, difficulty settling, pulling on the leash, and overstimulation around your toddler. These are all common challenges for a sensitive dog his age, and his program was designed specifically to help him feel more confident and controlled.
Throughout his stay, you were updated regularly on his behavior, his confidence work, and his food intake. When his appetite changed, we notified you immediately and adjusted his feeding. You later confirmed he was “eating fine again” and “gaining weight.” This was handled promptly and was not left unaddressed.
During multiple calls, you shared that Ferris knew his commands, was more confident, was reacting less to loud noises, and that you were “seeing a difference” at home. You also told our trainer that he was doing well with the collar and that you were no longer considering rehoming him because of the progress he made.
The challenges you later described were excitement around your toddler, crate whining, and slipping into old habits, are exactly what we discussed during graduation. A board & train establishes the foundation; maintaining it requires consistent structure at home. With a toddler climbing on his tools, hesitation with the collar, and less structure than what he had here, Ferris didn’t have the same level of consistency to support the behaviors he learned.
When you reached out for help, our trainer came to your home for a follow-up. He walked you through the collar step-by-step, worked on crate routines, and showed you how to apply the same structure we used here. At the end of that visit, a next session was planned, and we asked for confirmation. We didn’t receive a reschedule or any communication until this review.
To clarify an important point: the e-collar is not used to “shock” dogs. Ferris was conditioned to it with food, leash guidance, and repetition so he understood the communication clearly. When used correctly, it’s a low-level tool that helps anxious, sensitive dogs stay focused, and it must be paired with consistent follow-through at home.
That’s why we provide homework, an online course, a training tracker, group classes, and ongoing support. All of these resources were available to you then and still are now.
Our head dog trainer has already reach out and will continue trying to connect with you directly. We want to talk through everything, answer any remaining questions, and make sure Ferris gets the continued support he needs.
Ferris made real progress when structure was consistent, and we’re more than willing to help you build on that foundation if you choose to move forward with us. Our responsibility is not only to the dogs we work with, but also to the integrity of our business and the trainers who put in hard work every day.

From our first consultation, we were greeted with such kindness that we knew we would be leaving our dog, Chunky, in good hands while we were away for 3 weeks.
Our trainer, Jamie, and the entire staff at K9 Mania were constantly in communication with us and providing daily photo and weekly video updates.
Our dog had severe anxiety and aggression and after the third week, Jamie was able to bring him out to public places with no reactivity.
Friends and family have seen Chunky and cannot believe he is the same, previously anxious dog.
Thank you to the staff at K9 Mania, especially Jamie, for giving Chunky a new life. We couldn't be more grateful

We had an amazing experience with K9 Maini’s Dog Training. From the moment we met Dave, he made us feel completely comfortable trusting them with our dog. It was clear right away that they truly care about the dogs they work with and the families they support.
We sent our dog Buddy a 6-month-old lab away for their 3 week board and train program. Our dog is extremely high-energy, but they knew exactly how to work with him. Our personal trainer, Stella, was absolutely incredible. She connected with Buddy so naturally and put so much time and attention into his training. She didn’t just work with him—she made sure we understood how to continue the training at home, explaining everything clearly and patiently.
We’re so grateful for the progress Buddy has made and for the confidence they gave us as owners. Although our dog came home not perfect, they gave us the tools and the basics to be able to manage him and enjoy him at home. Highly recommend K9 Mania to anyone looking for truly caring, knowledgeable trainers!

We had a wonderful experience with trainer Jayden. Our mini doxie was able to learn all the commands she was taught in the facility and is successfully performing them at home. The facility was clean, the staff was friendly and we would recommend the puppy program to any new dog owner!

We took our young and rambunctious male Great Dane (Merlin) to K9 Mania to learn manners and be a polite and well behaved dog since he was going to be big. After his 3 week board and train he is an awesome boy. Walks on a slack leash, mostly ignores other animals while walking. And the most incredible thing is the PLACE command. When people come over or we are eating, we simply tell Merlin to PLACE and he heads to his spot and stays there until released.
Post training a small amount of continuous training and walking help Merlin to continue to be a dog it is a pleasure to have.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a great review Brian! We're thrilled to hear that Merlin's 3-week board and train program was so successful in helping him become a well-behaved and polite Great Dane.
This program definitely delivered, just 5 weeks ago Nino couldn't be taken in public spaces without being reactive to people and strange noises. Since enrolling with K9 Mania Home Hybrid program he has made great improvements, with hands on training with Jake, and the tools provided, this experience has been very rewarding, with the knowledge I've gained Nino will only continue to excel, Thank you Jake and K9 Mania for all you have done.

Our dog came in a scared and unsure 4 year old with protection aggression and anxiety. She has left a more calm and disciplined pup. The facility was clean and the staff were amazing. She loved her trainer, Erica and we couldn’t be happier with the results! She will be returning for boarding.

I can’t say enough good things about Olivia and K9 Mania! When we first started training, my dog Enzo had severe aggression issues — he would bark, lunge, and snap at people, and I honestly didn’t know what to do. Olivia completely changed our lives.
She approached Enzo with so much patience, understanding, and compassion. From day one, she saw past his aggression and focused on helping him feel safe and confident. The progress he’s made is incredible — he’s calmer, more trusting, and I finally feel at ease taking him on walks again.
Olivia not only transformed Enzo’s behavior but also taught me how to understand and communicate with him better. Her dedication and genuine love for dogs truly shine through in everything she does. I’m forever grateful for the positive change she’s brought into our lives. 🐾💛

The experience with K9 Mania was nothing short of miraculous. Our high energy 1yr old American Bulldog/PitBull Mix was dog & stranger reactive. After 3 weeks of gentle disciplined guidance our dog, Enzo was transformed into an absolute pleasure. He is eager to please & extremely obedient. Erika, the trainer, communicated with us daily along Enzo’s journey to becoming a well behaved family pet.
