I have just finished my first block of sessions with Jonny and will definitely be booking more. He is very knowledgable and tailors plans to your goals and lifestyle. When trying to fit exercise in around work and childcare this is very helpful!
He is supportive, motivating and encourages you to do your best in every session, enabling you to achieve your goals. But most importantly the sessions are fun and laid back! I’m already surprised with what I have achieved in the first block of sessions and look forward to seeing what I can achieve in the next with Jonnys guidance.
Johnathan is a fantastic personal trainer. You can really tell that he cares about your progress and your goals as much as you do. The sessions are tailored to your goals and needs and it’s obvious that there is a great deal of thought and planning behind each session. If you want to make real progress in an encouraging environment then go with Johnathan. I didn’t have a clue before and now I have the confidence and ability to do proper workouts by myself at the gym.

Updated - I first started with Jonny when I was pregnant and he was fantastic! I started back with him after having my baby and he is still amazing and supportive! So patient and pushes me to achieve my best! I can’t believe how far I’ve come in my fitness journey and it is all down to him! I not only feel stronger and fitter but my health has also benefitted! Jonny has been amazing throughout my fitness journey. He is so patient and pushes you to achieve your best every session. With him having his pre and post natal training was very beneficial as I was early stages pregnant when first going to him . Jonny has been so supportive and considerate the whole time! Nearly finished my first block with Jon. I have enjoyed working with him. He's very friendly, very knowledgeable and passionate about helping others achieve their goal. I've lost 20kg over the course of my block. I feel healthier, leaner and have lost very little strength.
When I came to Jon I had been working out 3-4 days a week with more of a power lifting focus. I had no interest in pressing further with that type of focus and wanted to lose weight and look more aesthetic. Jon helped provide a structured workout and nutrition goal while also allowing me to enjoy some strength based workouts on my own.
I'd highly recommend anyone to contact Jon whether you have lots of experience or are a beginner.
Coming to the end of my first 10 sessions with Jonathan and will be signing up for 10 more without a doubt! Jonathan has gave me brilliant guidance with training and nutrition over the past few months, along with just the right amount of push, motivational and confidence boosting to help me get closer to my goals and improve all aspects of my training. He is easy to get on with which puts any nerves at ease fron the start.

From the get-go, jonathan made sure that we were doing excersises i enjoy and always been given the opportunity to work on anything that I felt I wanted to during sessions.
You can tell almost instantly that Jonathan has a strong passion for what he does and it makes all the difference. With check-ups in between session to make sure your recover is as should be, to feedback on solo training, you can tell he is invested in each client.
Jonathan is simply the best PT. Signing up with Jonny has been a life changing destination for, his motivation and follow up helped and still is helping me get closer to my goal. I already feel stronger, fitter and lighter. My whole family and friends have noticed the change in me and how he has been such a great support. From gruelling bulgarian split squats, to intense barbell back squat, Jonathan is no stranger to pushing me to my limits. With that being said, Jonathan has greatly improved my confidence and I would recommend him (and his motivating fist bumps) to anyone who is just starting their fitness journey.

June 2024 update
I’ve been going to Jonathan for 4 months and I really can’t believe how much of a difference he has made to my physical and mental health.
I’ve started going to the gym by myself and working out at home. Exercising has become part of my weekly routine. My sessions with Jonathan I leave feeling stronger and more confident. The sessions with Jonathan have made me want to exercise more because I’ve felt the benefits from regular exercise.
I’ve hit a few personal bests I’m really proud of - squatting 100kg being one of them. I used to hate exercising and never wanted to step foot in a gym. Going to Jonathan for sessions has really changed my attitude towards exercise.

My sessions with Johnathan have become a part of my week that I look forward to. This has even encouraged me to start exercising at home by copying (to the best of my ability) what I have done in my sessions with him. Johnathan has been very encouraging from the moment go and celebrates my successes as I develop as person who is very new to using gym equipment.
His approach to teaching is fantastic and he constantly asks you questions to make sure that you are doing exercises properly and safely. He also gives really detailed demos for each excise ensuring that you are set up for success and that you are safe. His home gym is a great space to build confidence before stepping into commercial gym.
I’ve really enjoyed my time with Johnathan and look forward to having more sessions with him in the future.
I have been going to Jonathan for 9 months now and I would highly recommend him.
He has listened to what I want to achieve and guided me in the direction I need to go. Since I have been going to Jonathan, he has helped me boost my confidence to the point I am to go to the gym by myself and I have even signed up to do the Banchory Beast this year (2024) with his help.
He has pushed further to try to things and push myself out of my comfort zone with exercises and I am now able to achieve 120kg on squats which I wouldn’t of be able to do without his motivation and keen spirt along the journey.
Jonathan also assist with nutrition by advising different ways to manage my nutrition and even giving out recipes. With his advice I have been able to change my eating habits without sacrificing the treats.
Jonathan’s passion for fitness and enthusiastic personality really makes the fitness journey more fun and enjoyable and I would greatly recommend him.
