Such a brilliant experience on Jet Adventures this evening for their Halloween tour šŸ‘». Made us feel so welcome and Jack told the stories in a hilarious/spooky way. Would recommend 100%.

Loved watching the seals, by not intruding on them which is how it should be The trip was great fun. The boat ride was good fun you do get quite wet from spray but you are provided with waterproofs. They do only do so much though so I would maybe advise in the winter months to take a change of trousers. The boat wasn't full so when we left the harbour the water spray was in our faces but the skipper stopped the boat and let us swap sides so we didn't get the spray in our faces. It can be quite rough but we found that was all part of the fun and experience. Once you get to the seals you get a lovely calm time watching the seals on the the sand and in the sea. There were loads of seals more than I've ever seen. We took binoculars to be able to see more what the seals were doing. There is something nice and calming about watching them. Watching the them in the sea keep popping their heads up was also very amusing. We had a great time and would highly recommend this experience.

That’s lovely to hear thank you Laura. Layers, waterproofs and a change of clothes is definitely good advice at this time of year!

We did two trips - one to Scroby Sands and the second on the Halloween trip around the old docks. Both great fun. Thanks to John & Jack who made our fun afternoon.

We felt safe (in a spooky way), seeing the wrecks on the banks of the river. We also saw a pair of otters which was a bonus. Trip was over too soon. Gary and Theresa

Thank you for taking the time to review your trip! The otters were a definite bonus - they shouldn’t be that side of the lock. Hope to see you again.

Stunning seals- great company Absolutely fantastic! An experience to remember. The 2 guys who took the tour I think John and Jack) were so reassuring, kind and helpful. The seals were stunning, we got so close. It was wet and cold, but if you wrap up warm it’s ok. My advice would be wellies, waterproofs and definitely hat and sunglasses to help with the wind when you go at the highest speed (although they did offer goggles).Definitely something we will remember.

Thanks for taking the time to review your trip! Wrapping up warm is good advice - we do carry waterproofs but they're no subsitute for a nice warm jacket. Through the winter we will be offering Fladen suits to wear so hopefully that will make it more attractive to come 'out of season' as we still see loads of seals!

We did the amazing Lowestoft Docks Ghost Tour with Jet Adventures- such a fascinating way to hear tales of local history and spooky legends and also a cool way to see underneath the two bridges in town. Had no idea there were so many weird and wonderful boats moored up in Lake Lothing. Superb guide and skipper, we always felt safe, loved it!

Had two amazing trips in 2023 with Jet Adventures, with a Coastal Sightseeing trip in July and Scroby Sands Seal Watching in August. The company is family-owned and they offer a range of trips from peaceful harbour tours to high speed wet knuckle RIB adventures along the coast and out to Scroby Sands. Highly recommended, great value and memorable / educational trips. My wife and I also did their Lowestoft docks ghost tour in October 2025 and we had a great time, with interesting tales of local history along with mysterious legends from the east coast.

Experienced the Halloween Boat tour and we really enjoyed it. Ghostly stories and we saw parts of the harbour you don’t normally get to see. Our dog was also very welcomed on board and they catered for her with a life jacket as well. Would highly recommend!

Lowestoft Docks Ghost Tour - Enjoyable and Informative Tour - Friendly Crew - Highly Recommended My wife and I really enjoyed the Lowestoft Docks Ghost Tour - this was my third trip with Jet Adventures (having previously done the coastal tour and the Scroby seals run in 2023) however it was my wife's first trip as she is not a fan of fast boat trips or getting wet - and this trip is perfect as it's a leisurely trip at low speeds but nonetheless fascinating and an interesting way to see local sights that are generally unavailable to the public on foot. The tour lasts an hour and after a safety briefing and fitting of lifejackets you are off, heading under the two main bridges in Lowestoft and heading out to Oulton Broad, where you turn around for the return journey. During the trip the guide tells you of the infamous storm of October 1882, the legend of Leathes Ham, Black Shuck, the ghostly wherry and lots more. The trip runs the entire length of the 1,000 year old Lake Lothing and back again, checking out the Ships Graveyard and then back to your starting position. We were generally lucky with the weather although it was a little chilly but if you wrap up warm then it's an amazing experience, and a rare chance to see the underneath of the old and new bridges of Lowestoft as well as travel under the railway swing bridge in Oulton Broad. I guess the only minor criticism is that it was a little hard to make out at times what the guide was saying due to there not being a microphone / loudspeaker. It was much better when he moved to the centre of the boat instead of standing at the front. It's always nice to try something a little out of the ordinary and this was perfect...also great to support a local family-owned company. It's a shame they no longer operate the broads trips as I really fancied doing one of those but I hope that one day they could be back in the tour line-up.This trip and the company are highly recommended to anyone living in or visiting the Lowestoft / Great Yarmouth / Southwold area. We loved it.

Our original trip had to be cancelled due to a storm brewing. We had excellent communication and an extremely prompt refund. We were able to enjoy the trip today, just under a week later. It was absolutely brilliant. An exhilarating journey out to Scroby Sands to see the seals who certainly showed up in large numbers for us, swimming very close to the boat. A lovely crew and we thoroughly recommend. Thank you.
Reply from Jet Adventures 2025.10.10
Thanks very much for that Alison. It was a pleasure to get you out to experience the seals. What a cracking autumn day you chose too!

What a fantastic experience speeding along and viewing the coast line between Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth. Once we had arrived at Scroby Sands I didn't realise how big an area it covers and the number of seals we saw. A big Thank You to John and Fliss for arranging these adventures.

Great experience! Seal watching at Horsey beach, Blakeney Point, Norfolk.A 35 minute boat trip from Morston Quay took us out to the beach where there were dozens of mainly Grey seals and their recently produced pups lounging on the sandy beach. There were also quite a few in the surrounding waters that came to look at us as we passed.Photographing them was quite a challenge as our small boat pitched and rolled in the waves but quite pleased with my results from my Sony RX10Mk4.If you're going to do the trip, wrap up warm and waterproof!

It’s always lovely to get reviews but I don’t think you travelled with us. I’d guess you probably travelled with Bean or Temple boats from Morston. We depart from Lowestoft.
