By the way I only moved a lot of boxes. And bags. A bedroom set. Basically no furniture. 1600. Seemed a bit much. But like I stated the movers were fast clean and careful.

If I could give Jersey Moving Pro zero stars, I would.
My family trusted this company to move my elderly parents from New Jersey to Texas. Based on our experience, I believe they took advantage of two senior citizens during one of the most stressful times of their lives.
My parents were given an estimate based on a specific cubic footage and price. Instead of informing them that the shipment was approaching the estimated volume and allowing them to decide what should or should not be loaded, the crew continued loading the truck. Only after everything was loaded were my parents told they had allegedly exceeded the quoted cubic footage and were presented with thousands of dollars in unexpected additional charges, leaving them with little choice but to pay.
The problems didn’t end there. The movers took items they were specifically instructed to leave behind while also leaving behind items that were supposed to be transported. We were promised someone from the office would call with a time to pick up the things they did not originally load. They didn’t. They showed up a day later, after my parents had already flown to Texas. By then, my sister had already made other arrangements because the company failed to do what it promised.
When I requested the final inventory, I was shocked by how vague it was. It consisted largely of generic descriptions like “box” and “plastic bin,” offering little accountability or meaningful documentation of what was actually moved.
I then spoke with the Operations Manager, Joel, hoping to resolve these issues professionally. Instead, he was dismissive, condescending, repeatedly characterized me as “emotional” for asking legitimate questions, and ultimately hung up on me rather than addressing my concerns. Ironically, he used the exact same language with my sister when she questioned the company’s actions.
The most disturbing part came afterward. Rather than resolving the issues, Joel offered my mother a $1,000 discount on her outstanding balance if she removed her negative review. While companies are free to resolve complaints as they see fit, I found it deeply concerning that the priority appeared to be removing public criticism instead of correcting the problems that caused it.
Do yourself a favor and hire another moving company. No family should have to deal with unexpected charges, broken promises, poor communication, or being treated this way after entrusting a company with everything they own.

Jersey Moving Pro is a family-owned and operated moving company. We have built our business by serving thousands of families, and taking advantage of customers regardless of their age is not how we operate.
Regarding the pricing, the original in-home estimate was based on the household goods presented to our estimator at the time of the walkthrough. That estimate was approximately 1,083 cubic feet, equivalent to approximately 7,581 lbs.
On moving day, the amount of household goods presented for transportation was substantially greater than what was included in the original estimate. The additional items represented approximately 767 cubic feet, or approximately 5,369 lbs., bringing the total shipment to approximately 1,850 cubic feet / 12,950 lbs.
The additional charges were not based on your parents’ age or created arbitrarily. They resulted from the significant increase in the volume of household goods being transported compared with the original estimated inventory.
We do acknowledge the concerns regarding items that were intended to stay behind versus items intended to be transported, as well as the communication surrounding the return pickup. That portion of the move should have been handled and communicated more clearly, and we understand the frustration it caused your family.
Regarding the inventory, interstate moving inventories commonly identify cartons and containers by type rather than documenting the individual contents packed inside each box. However, we understand why descriptions such as “box” or “plastic bin” may not have provided the level of detail your family expected.
I also take the concerns regarding the conversation with our Operations Manager, Joel, seriously. Regardless of a disagreement over the facts or charges, communication with our customers and their families should remain professional.
Finally, I want to address the statement regarding the $1,000 adjustment. Any attempt by our company to reach a financial resolution was intended to resolve the overall customer dispute and reach an amicable conclusion. It should not be interpreted as an attempt to avoid accountability for legitimate concerns.
We may disagree with several characterizations in this review, particularly the suggestion that Jersey Moving Pro intentionally took advantage of two senior citizens. However, I respect your family’s right to express its experience, and I would much rather resolve outstanding concerns through a direct and professional conversation.

I am very disappointed with the service I received from this moving company. The overall experience was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. In particular, the dispatcher was very rude, disrespectful, and unhelpful when I tried to communicate about my move.
Customers should be treated with courtesy and professionalism, especially when they are paying for a service. I expected clear communication and respectful treatment, but unfortunately, that was not my experience.

Your moving crew arrived on time, treated you and your belongings with respect, completed your move without any reported damages, and honored the binding flat-rate price that we agreed upon during your estimate. There were no additional charges beyond the agreed price.
We also reviewed the conversation with our dispatcher. Based on that recording, it appears that the primary concern was your request for a discount after the move had been completed. Our dispatcher explained that because your move was booked at a binding flat rate, the agreed-upon price could not be changed, and the final bill remained exactly as quoted.
If there is something else that contributed to your dissatisfaction, I would genuinely appreciate the opportunity to understand it. We used Jersey Moving Pro to move my father in law from Monroe NJ to Tennessee and everything went great. The crew arrived Wed morning to load up and finish packing and everything went well. The crew leader Igor isn't the friendliest guy but went about his job well and the other 2 guys were great. The truck was a direct shipment due to my father in laws needs and arrived early Saturday morning. Luis and Danny were great and had everything unloaded by noon and were headed back to NJ. We used Jersey Moving Pro when we moved in March from Somerset to our home in Tennessee and highly recommend them. They may not be the cheapest but they do a great job.
