Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish. We contacted J Carter Locksmiths at very short notice regarding windows that would not open during the heat, and they went completely above and beyond to help us. Communication was excellent throughout, with every call and message answered quickly, they turned up exactly as promised, and resolved everything professionally and efficiently. The quality of workmanship and reliability were outstanding and you can genuinely tell they care about their customers and take pride in their work. We had a problem with one of our conservatory doors as we couldn't lock it. I called Jake and he arrived in about 10 minutes as he was in the area. He identified that the door was misaligned. He quoted a price to fix the problem and then sorted it really quickly. Not only was he efficient and knowledgeable but a very pleasant character and a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to friends and family. Thanks Jake!

While I didn’t actually end up using JCarter Locksmiths, I still wanted to leave a review because of how helpful they were. I’d locked myself out of my flat and was frantically calling around local locksmiths. They couldn’t pick up at the time, but about 15 minutes later they called me back, apologising as they were at their daughter’s swimming lesson. Even though they couldn’t attend due to this, they took the time to talk through my situation, gave me a clear idea of what the job should cost, and pointed out red flags to watch out for so I wouldn’t get ripped off. As someone who’s never needed a locksmith before, that advice was genuinely invaluable. They also recommended some trustworthy local alternatives I could try. Really appreciated the honesty, professionalism, and willingness to help even when they weren’t getting the job. Will definitely be my first port of call should I need a locksmith again in the future.

JCarter Locksmiths fitted a new lock to my back door in Feb 26. Recently I have experienced problems closing that door, although I was able to lock it. I phoned Jake. Although I confirmed a response within a week was okay, he responded very quickly coming to my house the same day. He confirmed the lock was good, but the springs in the handles had failed. He replaced the handles, there and then, and left a very happy, satisfied customer, who will definitely use him again and highly recommend him to others

We needed locks for my dad’s new home. Jake replied within a few minutes to my text, gave good recommendations as to lock security levels, and had my dad’s locks changed within a few days for a price that would not have been much different to me buying the locks online and then wrecking my dad’s patio doors trying to change them. Excellent price and service - like me don’t bother calling anyone else.

Contracted Jake and within a few hours he arrived to sort out a locking system which we lost the keys for. He was very understanding and helped my partners elderly mum fully understand how to use the new lock. He was happy to help and advise with other jobs. Would definitely recommend and use in the future!

We were unable to open patio door, so contacted JC. They came over quickly, and for a fixed price they were able to diagnose the problem. Unfortunately it wasn’t a simple job so we definitely got value for money! They needed to order a part and returned the following week to fit (this is what suited my availability). Initially the new lock was really tough to open, but since the following day the lock has been far easier to unlock and open than it’s ever been! I wish we had contacted Jake & Josh earlier, the lock may not have broken! They were both brilliant in every way, thank-you!
