Kind of light weight. If your post is wooden then you will have some flexibility in securing it to your post by running some extra screws through the plate into your post. If its a metal post like mine its more difficult. There is no way to tighten the bracket around the post if the post is even 1/8inch smaller. Screws that hold it together are very small and wont accept very much torque before stripping out..
