I just had a 4th appointment with Dr. Emer. Five stars for his expertise and innovation treating scars, and five stars for his bedside manner plus his amazing staff (Jonathan, Nadine, Jose, all of them). For anyone needing help minimizing scars from self-harm or cutting, or burn scars, or scars from accident or surgery, or acne scarring - Dr. Emer is a blessing! When I was seeking help (for my minor child), I was told by many other doctors that our case was untreatable, was too complex, and most would not even treat minors. Thankfully, another doctor gave me Dr. Emer’s number.
PS: I was surprised to see some one-star Google complaint reviews. So I feel like giving a rebuttal with some truthful perspective! Someone was upset when Dr. Emer changed their treatment plan, then blamed him for unsatisfying results. Some were upset about wait-time and cancellation fees and scheduling. Some were upset about high cost and perceived high-pressure sales.
Here is my opinion regarding these issues…Dr. Emer may indeed change his plan over time, based on individual healing- but he will tell you why and how the change could help. He is in high-demand, and has a tight schedule with an office in New York and California. So if you have to wait, it’s a bummer. Usually he is on-time, but once we had to wait almost 3 hours (due to a complicated surgery he did that day).
As for money…talk to him and you’ll see he has a big heart and is not doing his job to squeeze money out of people. He is providing us with his unique skills and technology. Yes, you may end up paying two, or maybe twenty, thousand dollars- for elective body and skin modification- but he gives you an estimate! Consider that you get what you pay for…Imagine his overhead costs- rent, insurance, high-quality staffing, years of education, cutting-edge technology and equipment, and his time!
So if you desperately want to improve some perceived flaw, then save some money, be realistic about expectations, and be very patient if you get his treatment. Re-molding and re-growing skin takes months of healing, but it’s worth it. The after-care products he will sell you are expensive but he wants to give your skin the best chance possible. Dr. Emer will aim for perfection and has the creativity of an artist with a steady hand for precision surgery. He also has the experience to deal with any unpredicted reactions, allergies, inflammation, or individual healing speed-bumps. He truly wants to make you feel better and confident!
Walking into this practice feels less like a clinic and more like a polished, well-organized studio devoted to aesthetic work. Dr. Jason Emer brings a level of precision that’s hard to miss — his approach to facial contouring, skin rejuvenation, and body sculpting shows both technical skill and an artistic eye. The consultation process is thorough, with clear explanations and realistic guidance instead of sales pressure.
The staff works seamlessly around him, handling patients with calm professionalism and keeping the environment discreet and comfortable. Treatment rooms are spotless, modern, and equipped with an impressive range of technology.
Pricing leans toward the higher side, but the level of detail and the confidence you walk out with make the investment feel justified.
Dr Emer never disappoints! Wouldn’t trust anyone else with my face. His assistant & Jordan are always helpful in recommendations and assure you leave satisfied. Parish is always welcoming and helpful!

Dr. Emer and his staff are incredible. He came to my rescue after another doctor burned my skin using an ablative laser performing a procedure I wasn’t a candidate for. He’s thorough, empathetic, and he knows how to use his tools which I’ve learned isn’t always the case, regardless of having an MD beside your name. Looking forward to the end result but the progress has been life changing so far and we’re almost there. I’m Incredibly grateful for his skill, his kindness and his services. Highly recommended!
I went to see Dr. Emer for acne scars cause a nurse from local clinic recommended him. I had modified Phenol peel for the 1st treatment, and I had improvement with pigmentation and texture. On the second treatment I paid for CO2 laser and some add on. However he changed the treatment plan last minute saying it’s better than the original plan. I trusted him and agreed. After the treatment I went home and did some research, the laser he gave me was some cheap laser machine from Korea. I regretted I trusted him. But realized he didn’t gave me time to consider. However I waited to see the result, and it’s been 3 months post laser, I can barely see any improvement, but the scars look worse than before laser, and it caused pigmentation because of the heat. My skin is back to original maybe worse due to the trauma from the laser. The staffs aren’t professional or nice. They only care about getting money. I communicated with the staff that I’m not happy with the result, especially the right side of my face. It looks worse. I’m disappointed because I had 2 treatments with Dr Emer in past 5 months. And each treatment was expensive. And I saw some other reviews mentioning the same thing: treatment plan got changed last minute.
And their attitude and logic were not consistent.
During the treatment, their words were “you are such a good client, you always follow the protocol”
Also they before the treatment: “both Bellafill and silicone micro droplet are good, but silicone is cheaper”.
Also they after treatment, when I was disappointed with the result, and their words changed and they even tried to gaslight me by saying “because you don’t follow the original plan we had for you, you didn’t do silicone micro droplet, you don’t come back to do more treatments”.
They forgot they were the one who changed the treatment plan at the last minute, and they want clients to come every 2 months to spend $10k+ on each treatment while results are not guaranteed.
And on my last phone call with Dr Emer, he refused to admit the procedure wasn’t done properly, and instead he said he didn’t want to treat me any more. They are scared because They KNEW it was their fault but they wouldn’t admit.
Unless you have tons and tons of money to burn, and want to risk your skin, you should be very careful with them. Don’t trust whatever they say, always keep evidence. Lesson learned in a hard way.
I’ve been struggling with scars for years, finally visted Dr. Emer. I feel the results were completely life changing. He was able to combine some treatment that has showed huge improvement. His office was always clean, with almost no waits, a very upbeat positive group of people. Looking forward to seeing him again.
Came in to see Dr. Emer to help with some unwanted crows feet. Had Botox done by DR. Emer, he did great! He was able to help with those bunny lines, a few nose wrinkles. He did great! I love the look.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Jason Emer. From the moment I walked into the office, I felt welcomed. He took the time to listen to my concerns, explained each treatment option in detail, and made me feel completely comfortable. The results have been astonishing. I often get my lip fillers done by Dr. Emer, he's always done good work. From the moment I walk into his office, I always feel welcome by both him and his office staff. He always takes the time to explain treatment and I always feel well cared for. I see him semi-annually.
