It’s quite simple - STAY AWAY FROM JANNEY ROOFING. Our roof project started in October and just finished in April. They are quite possibly the most inept company. They will talk the greatest game with NO follow through other than constant issues. Horrible oversight by “project managers” - we use that term very loosely since we were constantly watching for correct procedures, safety issues, and cleanliness - and having to relay that information to the PMs that were going to be onsite for - if nothing else communication assistance. Disrespectful workers - parking in the yard, on top of sprinklers, leaning ladders on finished roof pieces - that was a BIG NO NO according to the PM however never stopped. Parking cars in our driveway overnight without asking, showing up to work on our roof in the black of night without permission. Left flaming Cheetos spilled all over our white landscape rocks, trash everywhere, women walking around our yard and driveway with babies in the evenings, children ride toys left in the drive, repairing cars on a Saturday night until 11pm, and we have a stack of notes on other issues like this. The PM Nate is a bully and does NOT like to have to deal with women - especially one that is intelligent. His sidekick Jillian has such a lack of experience he couldn’t even answer questions by the inspector. They would send update pictures claiming it was taken when they were leaving the job sight and it obviously was not taken then based on the sun setting. Multiple times we questioned the work being done and were told that they’d handle it during the end punch list - causing major repairs to be done instead of catching things and doing it correctly the first time. They say they will care about your home as if it’s theirs but that’s the farthest thing from the truth. The inspector told us that they did the bare minimum to get things passed and if it was his house he’d being seeing them in court. We’ve had neighbors stop to ask who we were using so they DIDN’T use them. They would not respond to communications sent by a woman yet immediately would respond to the man of the house. The corporate staff eventually got involved attempting to fix the numerous issues and rebuild trust. It was too late - they couldn’t save themselves if they had to. During the final walk through Nate was so disgusted by our concerns you could see him physically trying to control himself. The manager of production even had to step in and back him down a couple of times. We can provide documentation to support all of this. The final punch list we were told was going to take 1-2 weeks, they were done in a day and it was a “bandaid job at best” according to the inspector, and nothing like the product they had promised - it actually looks worse. Had we known - we would not have allowed them to change it. (This we were told by the PM during the debrief was a lie we were telling). Janney did have a debrief meeting with us - setting the tone with “we all know why we are here, and asked that we keep things to the facts”and that the meeting be “professional”. They apologized for the mishaps we have suffered through but offered no restitution other than a “learning experience” for them. The top corporate staff acknowledged that the end result in areas was NOT finished as well as they would like but it was done to “standards” therefore they would not be correcting anything further. We suffered this nightmare for months - there are MANY better options out there, please learn from our mistake and save yourselves the pain and suffering of this horrible company.
