I had an absolutely amazing experience with Jambo Masai Tours during our five-day safari. From the very first day, everything was perfectly organized, professional, and stress-free. Our guide, Machete, was incredible — extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about wildlife and conservation. He always knew the best spots and times to see animals, and thanks to him we were lucky to see the Big Five and so many other species up close. The accommodations were comfortable and well chosen, the meals were great, and the whole itinerary was perfectly balanced between adventure and relaxation. A special thank you as well to Magerth, who was incredible in making sure everything ran smoothly and that we were well taken care of throughout the trip. We had a fantastic safari in October 2025 with Jambo Masai Tours to Amboseli, Tarangire, and Serengeti National Parks, and Ngorongoro Crater. They helped us to personalise our itinerary and adapted when our flight time changed. It was a seamless service from start to finish, and we felt safe and had a lot of fun. We were a little concerned initially about booking with Jambo Masai Tours, as they are a relatively new company and so do not have as many reviews as other companies on Google or on the Safari Bookings website. However, we are happy we took the chance, and we learned that they are a very professional company with high standards. We were also a bit worried in advance that, due to the comparatively reasonable price, we would end up staying in very 'rough and ready' type accommodation and might have a poorer quality safari. However, this was not the case at all. The lodges we stayed in were all of a very high standard with excellent service and tasty food. The lodges provided private room (and a sense of luxury) and well equipped private bathroom. They also had nice swimming pools and helpful staff. We also witnessed other safari companies making mistakes that our company did not make, such as providing tourists with only drivers (i.e. people with driving experience but no guide experience and thus lack of knowledge of the animals, etc.) and revving their engine at the wrong time, preventing animals from coming closer. Our guide was very passionate and taught us a lot about the animals, the landscape, and the culture of Tanzania. He answered all of the questions we had, and entertained us with anecdotes about the animals, etc. Therefore, I think that Jambo Masai Tours provide great value for money, and a high quality experience. One day we were stopped having lunch at a picnic site and I got talking to another tourist travelling with a different tour agency who was upset and having a very bad experience. Our tour guide kindly took the time to help her and made some phone calls in Swahili and offered local advice. He even offered his own meal to her, someone he did not know and was not responsible for. I think this shows that the people who work at Jambo Masai Tours are genuinely kind and generous people who want visitors to Tanzania to have a safe and happy time, and to experience the best of the country. The guides were friendly and told us interesting stories about the parks we visit. The hot air balloon ride was like a dream.
