Jade Nosara is a wonderful spot to relax, rejuvenate and relish in the wonders of Costa Rica. It is in close proximity to walk to the beach, restaurants and downtown. The staff is wonderful and made us feel at home. We highly recommend staying at Jade Nosara.

Having you & your family here was incredible. Your son was fun to watch on the tennis courts. He really jumped right in to play with other local kids. We have had a lot of fun with our new red clay tennis courts. Great to see your family out there too -

Jade Nosara was the ultimate inspirational getaway that our family was seeking. A true idyllic boutique retreat and a destination in and of itself. Located a short five minute walk to the most stunning beaches (and, surf), down the road from the most delicious restaurants (think…incredible tacos and organic smoothies) and nestled right in the heart of all things wellness related (yoga, kick boxing and tennis!) The bungalows are beautifully designed and the layout of the retreat caters to groups who still would prefer privacy. The communal areas are so inviting, we found ourselves lounging by the pool, cooking together and playing multiple rounds of ping pong:) The gardens were lush and well kept…it was a highlight of our trip waking up to the sounds of the native birds in the surrounding trees. The sculptures that were scattered throughout the property showcased the positive creative energy that resonates with the land and culture. We could really sense a deep connection to the environment and to the local community. Nosara really is the hub for the most perfect vacation, a gem worth exploring…Jade absolutely embodies Pura Vida…we are already planning our next trip back.

We stayed in Jade Nosara in the end of April-beginning of May this year, and we enjoyed it very much! Clay courts were great, coaches very professional, Mau’s food is the best in Nosara (though there are many good restaurants). We felt at home. Thank you Doug and Carroll!

We offer individual rooms during the green season. We enjoy when we are on the property and we get to know our guests. Thank you. You were amazing guests. It’s wonderful to see 2 people that look thru the same tennis lens that we do. It’s fun to travel and play red clay tennis. And during rainy season the courts drained and were playable each morning. Jade nosara was a great place to host our tennis and yoga retreat. Great location, close to the beach and to all kinds of restaurants. Only 5-10 minutes walking distance to the courts. Courts were in great shape and we loved having a cooler filled with fresh coconuts to drink in our breaks. Mau made the best breakfast and dinners. Thank you Doug and Carrol for all your help setting everything up. Extremely recommended!!

Our group of 12 just spent a week at Jade Nosara. It was an amazing trip, we absolutely loved Jade. The on-site team were incredibly helpful from arrival to departure. Location is perfect for those who want to walk to shopping, restaurants, beach, tennis, and more! Mau cooked for us four nights and had a wonderful breakfast available for us every morning- she is SO sweet and very talented in the kitchen! Carroll & Doug have created a very special property- we HIGHLY recommend and will certainly be back!

I recently stayed at the Jade Nosara for a week as part of a yoga retreat. This place is a hidden gem!! Our accommodations were comfortable, spacious, peaceful and private. The chefs prepared vegan meals that were phenomenal right down to dessert! Everything you need including the beach are within walking distance. Nosara Costa Rica is absolutely gorgeous, relaxing at Jade Nosara made my vacation even better!!! I’ll definitely be back💜!

Jade Nosara absolutely exceeded my expectations!!! I was thoroughly impressed with the team at Jade Nosara, their due diligence in making sure my group of 16 women had all of our needs met. The food was out of this world! The variety throughout the week was quite impressive as we had all meals there. The location was perfect too - easy walks to the beach and town. I would highly recommend this venue for any future retreats, gatherings, family reunions etc. Doug & Carol did a phenomenal job in helping me with my first International Yoga Retreat.

We had the most incredible experience staying at The Jade Retreat in Nosara, we've been to the Jade twice now! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such genuine warmth and hospitality from the amazing staff. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt completely at home and taken care of throughout our stay. The villa itself is an absolute paradise—secluded and surrounded by the most breathtaking greenery you could imagine. It feels like a true sanctuary, where nature and luxury coexist so beautifully. Despite the tranquil, private setting, we were so close to everything we needed. Restaurants, shops, and the beach were just a short walk away, making it the perfect location for both relaxation and exploration. Being able to stroll to the beach within minutes was such a gift -- it's simply unmatched. We can't wait to return!

Being at jade is like stepping into heaven on earth. There is something so calm, and peaceful about the retreat. Each meal from our private chef Mau was incredible, and left me speechless with the flavor, and dedication that she puts into her work. I enjoyed that the retreat was walking distance to the beach, and local amenities. We loved spending our time relaxing by the salt water pool, and enjoying the nature surrounding the property. All of the staff were extremely helpful, and kind. I can’t wait to come back.

I stayed at Jade for a week & I was absolutely in awe of the entire place. The rooms were cool and spacious, the bathroom was stunning & I even had an outdoor shower & bath! The pool was my favourite, to wake up & step outside & jump straight into the pool was a dream. There’s a super peaceful yoga deck / chill out area. The kitchen is huge & immaculate! And how could I forget Mal, the chef. WOW! She cooked the most nutritious, delicious meals every day. I have allergies and she tailored every meal for me so I didn’t miss out on any of the goodness! She even baked me gluten free desserts which were unreal! She’s so kind and always happy to help, she really made the trip! The cleanliness of the whole place was 10/10 (which is rare for Costa Rica!) and just the standard of products that are there, you can really tell they care about your individual experience here. Which is so refreshing! The resort is walking distance to all of the shops & restaurants, and just a few minutes from the beach. I’m leaving Jade feeling so rested, so happy & with so many beautiful memories.. I can’t wait to visit again!

The staff at JADE are kind and welcoming and very accommodating. MAU the chef is sweet and fun and we all just feel in love with her spirit and warmth. My retreat had 17 and while the yoga shala couldn’t hold that many, we improvised and I led classes a lot by walking around assisting and just speaking more detailed cues. The shala comfortably holds about 12-14 realistically but it all shook out fine, because many of our guests surfed in morning so we had more spaces in the shala. The shala is beautifully lit at night and we had epic views of the full moon over the peak…was magical. One of the best parts of my experience as a yoga studio owner and experienced retreat leader was the communication and diligence in terms of concierge and dealing with normal issues and travel snaffu’s when you are responsible for large groups. Doug & Carroll are ON IT 24-7 and were there for me as a leader and guest 150%. While planning a retreat takes 6 months-1 year, I loved working with Carrol & Doug and walk away feeling like they are my trusted friends. We love Nosara! For our family it is one of our favorite spots on the planet. But add staying at the Jade to your visit of Nosara and you have cracked the perfect and magical vacation. The bungalow’s are so comfortable. The long pool in the middle of everything is both a swimmer’s dream, and the hang everyone wants to find themselves in constantly. Doug and Carol have designed a retreat that mellows you out the moment you open the main door. The garden is sumptuous and gorgeous. The location is perfectly in the middle of everything and near the beach and all the best cafes and lunch spots. Yet just set back off the main drag so that it feels calm. They have a great staff there that seems to secretly keep making delicious foods. It is a great place to go with a big crew, and know that there is plenty of room to hang together - but then lots of tiny little spots to get away from everyone and have some alone time. Jade is just one of those few purely magical places on this earth. The entire experience was spectacular. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. It was both private and intimate, and communally oriented, we had our choice. The grounds are gorgeous, with the salt water swims and blossoming flowers, keeping all of our senses fully engaged and happy. The location is central and easily walkable to the beaches and restaurants. Doug and Carroll are so kind and thoughtful and assisted us in finding the best local experiences for our family. I can not recommend Jade Nosara highly enough and I can’t wait to return and bring the people I love to share the experience.

We found the Garden of Eden and it is in Nosara Costa Rica at the Jade! We rented the entire complex the week before Christmas 2023 for our 50th anniversary. I think we should go back for our 51 first anniversary! The staff was great, and accommodations were just as describe on the internet. The only problem about writing a great review is that more people will want to come to CR and stay at the Jade and there will not be availability for us in the future!
