Really disappointing, I wanted to attend Issho after seeing their posts and reviews. Business posts AI generated, fake imagery in local groups designed to create community fear in the names of getting their name out there more. This should (and might even?) be an illegal business practice.
On a community page the business has gone out of there way to post a photo of an attempted break in of the business. However They used an an AI-generated deepfake image of an attempted break-in as a marketing tactic is completely inappropriate. Creating fear to promote a message crosses a line. I won’t be visiting.
My wife and I had a mostly positive experience regarding the flavours from the food we had here (Oyakodon, Yakisoba and Takoyaki) which is very authentic and deserves praise, as well as the attention to detail applied to the dining space itself (furniture, layout, ambiance) - it reminded us a lot of some of the mom&pop restaurants we went to in Osaka many years ago.
However, the girl that served us, while amicable had an attitude and little finesse when it came to the kind of service/tone we come to expect from a Japanese restaurant - fine dining or not, everyone who has been to Japan would know good service and care permeates every sector of society there. It's the little nuances in service that make the most impact - the negative for us was the way she delivered the food where our meals and cutlery were carelessly laid on the table with one hand and 'dropped' rather than mindfully placed it in front of us. This is more a comment to encourage improvement rather than a justification to give a lower star review, because everything except that was excellent!
This restaurant is such a hidden gem!
When we walked in there was no one dining-in, so we didn't expect much, but it turned out to be the best sushi that I've ever had in Brisbane in the past 4 years.
Highly recommend!! Nigiri was really good and long. Prawn roll was so delicious that I forgot to take a photo before we eat😬
I will definitely be back!
My favorite food is sushi, so I can eat everyday(I am not kidding). But, I cannot find the real sushi place. Because almost sushi place sell only roll. By the way, I found the real sushi place eventually!!!!!!!
I wanna go here everyday.
Taste is of course good. And there is a calm atmosphere. Also, a very nice and kind server and shefs are here.
I love this place.
Just like Japan only here. Closest I have found to the real deal when it comes to their chicken katsu curry! It’s so crunchy and a great size portion. The sushi is always really fresh and again a good size compared to other places that charge the same or more. Can’t wait to try more of their menu! *photo cut off but there are 5 pieces of sushi*
