When I first came across Invest Mentor, I was sceptical. I wondered if it would be like many other programs that teach you how to invest but leave you to figure everything out yourself.
Before joining, I had already purchased an off-the-plan apartment through another company. It was one of the worst experiences I've had. I didn't know what I was doing, hired the wrong solicitor, received poor advice, and the builder delivered an incomplete property at settlement.
That experience made me very cautious, which is why I did my own research before committing. What impressed me most about the team was that they weren't simply selling property - they guided me through the entire process. The research was thorough, communication was excellent, and every person I dealt with genuinely cared about helping me make informed decisions.
Like any property journey, there were challenges. Unfortunately, the original landowner was unable to settle on time, which delayed the project. It was simply one of those situations that can happen and wasn't something Invest Mentor could control. Despite the delay, once everything was ready, the settlement process itself was smooth and well coordinated, and the team kept us informed throughout.
Fast forward three years, our house has now been completed, handed over, and successfully leased. Looking back, I'm glad I trusted the process. Throughout construction, settlement, handover and leasing, the team continued to provide support whenever questions came up. Having a dedicated mentor and relationship manager made a real difference, especially for someone building their first investment property.
One thing I appreciate most is that they didn't disappear after the contract was signed. They continued supporting us through construction, handover and leasing, which gave us confidence throughout the entire journey.
Building an investment property is a long-term commitment, and it's easy to judge a company only during the sales process. I believe the real test is whether they're still there years later, and in our experience, they were.

Every person we dealt with had a different role, but each one knew exactly what they were responsible for and did their part exceptionally well. From the mentor, relationship manager, property team and everyone behind the scenes, each step was handled professionally before being seamlessly passed on to the next. That's exactly how a great team should operate, and it gave us confidence throughout the entire process.

Unfortunately for my wife and i we were far from happy with most aspects of our purchase with Investmentor.
The only reason i have not given 1 star is because i don't feel there was malice, scam or deception on there part, just plain bad advice and a poor investment.
They sold us a place in Melbourne a 4 Bedroom house, seemed great when you are presented with the proposal, the house was supposedly sold to us cheaper than most others of the same kind, and also by the time it was to be completed, there projections had the house in further equity of approx 30-50 k , that coupled with the cheaper house price build, should have seen us with somewhere in the vicinity if being conservative at at a minimum of at least 60k - turns out the house was built on the small lot housing code , if your not familiar with this code , get familiar with it, it will be in your best interest, for us it meant the most ludicrous 4 Bedroom home you can imagine, 4 tiny bedrooms, and a kitchen and lounge room dining all in one area and a garage gutter that lies about 30cm from the next door garage gutter, quite disappointing - to top it all off as it was going though the build process, it failed valuation and we needed to put more money down to secure it, the rent is also far off anticipated pricing , we are now left covering nearly $300 a week just to keep it - compared to my other investments that i purchased through other companies , this is FAR off the pace -
I hope this can help someone who may be sceptical, stay sceptical and get a final floorplan before depositing.
