I started here about 3 weeks ago. It was a new thing to adapt coming from powerlifting to BJJ. Everyone here is great! The comrodery amongst everyone makes this place feel like a 2nd home. Thank you to Nelson and Hilary for giving me the opportunity to train and grow with everyone

But they got kinda salty about it, like “omg too cheap??” 😭👉👈 bruh pls, I’m just a smol bean trying to vibe (≧◡≦) not a walking piggy bank 💸🐷. With that attitude, I dipped—even tho I had time left. Would I recommend? Depends on your vibe check 👀. For me, it was a mixed bag but mostly okay.
We’re glad you had some positive experiences here. For clarity: when you arrived in body armor and brought a firearm onto the premises, we asked you to lock it in your car or locker for everyone’s safety. You argued about this request, which created tension with the team.
Our staff and members remained patient and respectful throughout. As you no longer train with us, we wish you the best moving forward.

I’m very happy that my daughter chose this place. My grandson loves it so much. All the coaches are great. Alex is very upbeat and friendly. He says hello to the kids that come through the doors by name. Lucas is a good coach and has a nice smile. Both he and Corey are firm with the kids when they need to. Corey goes beyond. Even before the class starts he makes Royal feel included by doing exercises with him. I appreciate that Steve offered his services to help my grandchild understand the moves. There is another coach that goes every once in while with his daughter. I don’t remember his name but he is very helpful when he is there. If there was a rating for higher I would have chosen it. Keep up the great work!! ❤️

Everyone is warm and welcoming at Inverted Gear, which is important for me, because I had no experience with grappling. my experience at inverted gear academy has been nothing more but great getting to learn new things and up my game in wrestling big time. I’ve been able to train with black belts which only made me learn faster. Hillary Witt is an amazing person to practice and learn from she really inspires me and Nelson is a very good coach both very nice people and a great environment entirely.

I took my two youngest children to Inverted Gear because my neighbor suggested it. Granted there are closer academies to our home he said this one is the best, and I agree. The kids had a blast. They get excited to go. I enjoy watching them. The instructors are kind and knowledgeable. The other children that have more experience teach the new children the moves and techniques. It’s a very inclusive group. Love it.

Coach Alex was an incredible instructor and Inverted Gear Academy offered a unique experience and in my opinion, the best training in the ABE area. I've dropped into most of the local schools and, as a brown belt myself, I recommend Inverted over all of your other options.
