We hired Innovative to do multiple jobs at our house simultaneously, including replacing our garage doors and building a theater room in our basement. We were a little hesitant to use one contractor for such a wide range of work, but Innovative did an excellent job in all areas. The initial scoping with Clark and the design team of Sabrina and Sally did a great job of moving our ideas to specific renderings and plans with a realistic timeline and cost projection. Once the project started, our project manager, Chris, was our main day-to-day contact. Chris did an excellent job of keeping us updated on everything happening in real-time, giving us weekly walk-throughs and he immediately addressed any issues that came up. Quite a few workers were involved in our project, but Ruben and Mark were involved on an almost daily basis. Mark and Ruben supervised the work throughout the phases of the project, and did excellent carpentry work themselves. They did a great job on the initial framing for our basement, as well as on the installation of a beam in our garage. Besides their talented work, they both were extremely friendly and even helped us with some small things around the house that weren’t part of the project while they were here. We are so happy we went with Innovative for our project and highly recommend them to anyone considering a home renovation project!

We worked with Innovative to fully finish our unfinished basement, and despite the scale and complexity of the project, it was by far the most seamless and positive experience I have ever had with a renovation. The end result of the project was amazing -- I am pretty picky/particular, but the quality and attention to detail with their work met and exceeded my expectations. It was clear that they were listening to our end goal and vision, and knew just what to do to get us there. Just as importantly, the journey to get to the end result was completely seamless. You know how you talk to someone after a renovation and they are frustrated with their contractor? This is not the case at all with Innovative Design! Our experience was amazing and completely different. Clark’s entire team is professional, everything is well organized, Trevor kept us up-to-date all along the way, no surprises, and they completed our project on time! Mark kept everything clean during the project, unlike any construction site you’ve ever seen. He was constantly vacuuming, had air scrubbers cleaning the air, informed us which days there would be a strong odor, etc.… Mark oversaw everything, was here daily, and my only complaint is that he’s no longer here! After my husband and I moved into our home a year ago, it quickly became clear that we needed more storage space. We also had thoughts on a few upgrades. We wanted to add custom cabinetry to five rooms including the garage, build a climate-controlled storage room in the attic, reface two fireplaces, and completely renovate the kitchen. The kitchen renovation included replacing all the cabinetry, making space for a larger refrigerator, bringing in more light from the dining room, moving the pantry, and installing new countertops.
It was obvious this would be a large project, and we wanted a top-notch contractor—someone we could trust to do high-quality work, prioritize safety, respect our home, stick to a schedule, keep the site clean, and deliver excellent results. My husband remembered a former co-worker giving Innovative Design Build a glowing review several years ago, so we reached out to them—and we were immediately impressed with this high-end contractor.
From the start, our project developer/salesperson, Trevor Robertson, told us the work would begin in six months, with a specific start date of March 11. During that waiting period, they built the attic storage room for us. This gave us a preview of their process and professionalism. They consulted a structural engineer where needed, protected our floors, walls, banisters, cleaned up daily, and always arrived on time (8 AM to 5 PM). Everyone we encountered was professional, skilled, conscientious, and a pleasure to have in our home.
While we waited for the main project to begin, we worked with designer Sabrina Brown to design the space and select finishes. Sabrina was absolutely wonderful—she offered guidance at the right moments, gave her input when asked, and provided detailed renderings to help us visualize the outcome. She took meticulous notes and kept the design lookbook and renderings updated throughout the planning process.
Innovative uses an app called Buildertrend where the whole project was documented. Ongoing communication with the team was done through this app as well so nothing was lost in e-mails or texts. It made everything so much easier and kept us organized.
As the start date approached, permits were secured, and we had our pre-construction meeting with our project manager, Raul Lopez. Raul was extremely detailed and organized. He kept the Buildertrend calendar updated so we always knew what was happening and who would be at the house. He confirmed the project would begin on March 11—just as promised six months earlier—and estimated it would take four months to complete. He also introduced us to our on-site supervisor, William Lavin, who was excellent in every way.
The project finished right on time with no delays. Now that it is complete, we could not be happier with the results. Every part of the process—from the planning to the finish—was handled with professionalism and care. All of the tradespeople (who we got to know by name!)—including the demo crew, painters, carpenters, electricians, cabinet makers, masons, and plumbers—were top-notch, friendly, respectful, and truly skilled at what they do.
We absolutely and wholeheartedly recommend Innovative Design Build!

We recently worked with Innovative to renovate the bathrooms in our 1910 historic home. My husband and I came to the process a little salty from previous interactions with other contractors, but the Innovative team absolutely renewed our faith in the field. From our very first call with Meghan, to our interview with Clark, every step of the process just felt like kismet. Our designers, Cassie and Cally, were instantly on the same page as us and worked through every tiny detail with me without batting an eye – and I’m certain I gave them plenty of cause to. Trevor, our project manager, went above and beyond; you could tell that he really took pride in his work. Our old house threw plenty of challenges at him, and he just took it in stride. Never once was I worried that he didn’t know exactly what his next step was going to be to solve a problem and to solve it correctly. Meghan and Trevor were transparent and honest, and did a wonderful job of keeping us informed, on-budget, and on-schedule. We were not staying in the house during the construction, but never once did we not feel involved or up-to-date. Prior to the start of demolition, we had the chance to meet everyone that would have a part in the project – the plumbers, the electricians, the carpenters, everyone. Since we weren’t on site every day, we didn’t get the chance to see them all daily, and this was a wonderful touch for us to meet the wonderful people that were transforming our space. Honestly, I can’t think of even one negative thing to say about Innovative or their work. We are beyond pleased with our new bathrooms. I’m not even interested in shopping around when our next project pops up – I’m going straight to Innovative.

We were a little hesitant hiring a company with all five-star reviews. Yeah, right. But here we are, giving them another one.
This was a complicated project to remove a deck and add an indoor/ outdoor living space with a very creative upper and lower roof structure that prevented blocking the light into our living room.
Clark and his guys were above and beyond at every turn. The plan called for a curved TimberTech floor and railing. Clark had never done this before, but he studied the process, bought the expensive tools ($3,000), and nailed it!
Even with a good set of plans, there were things we could not foresee, and Clark was quite flexible with small design changes, even adding his own good ideas, that I’m sure we’re more expensive and ate into his profit.
His guys we’re all out of the same mold. When Diego had spare time as project manager, he would do extra things not in the scope of work, even blowing our leaves!
Will committed to cleaning up a small but awkward spill, and brought a toothbrush the following day to work the problem.
Our lead carpenter, Isaias, was an absolute magician.
It was a pleasure working with these guys. They all have a strong work ethic (especially “Senior”), and we would not hesitate to hire them again.

I cannot say enough great things about Clark and the Innovative Design team. We trusted Innovative with the renovation of our primary bath earlier this year. Because pictures are worth a thousand words, I'm including some before and afters. Clark and his team are truly the best. They are kind, communicative, timely, considerate and professional. Sabrina was a joy to work with through the design process, taking great care to bring our vision to life down to the smallest details. Chris managed our onsite team, all of whom treated our home with care and respect. Chris communicated with us daily: we always knew when to expect the team, when our water would be off, when the site might be loud, etc. Our house was never once messy - no dust, no debris - always perfectly tidy and clean at the end of each work day.
This team has thought of everything. My husband and I felt so valued as clients and received numerous thank you notes throughout the process. We loved the Christmas card too! Clark and the team really care about what they're doing and understand customer service. Before our project began, they hand delivered cookies to our neighbors and introduced themselves, providing contact info in case anyone had any issues/inconveniences while the work was going on. I received numerous texts from our neighbors about how thoughtful and considerate this was. They not only thought of us, but anyone else who may be impacted by our project.
If I could give the team higher than 5 stars I would. It's so rare to find this kind of attention to detail. We recently completed our second project with Innovative Design + Build and are thrilled with the results once again! This was a large project -- building a garage and mudroom, installing a new driveway, a stone sidewalk and porch, and building out a pantry. Meghan takes a vision of a planned expansion and gets it on track with the architects, designers, and constructors. She is great at speaking all of those languages and making sure what the client wants comes through and shepherding the project from beginning to end. Trevor was an amazing project manager keeping everything on schedule and anticipating issues before they would arise. He made sure the architect's plans and drawings were translated well into actual construction and could make any necessary adjustments without issue. He was a great help in resolving day-to-day questions that came up. Chris's presence on site every day meant we didn't need to worry about anything. He kept track of all subcontractors coming and going, as well as going above and beyond to make sure inspections happened on time. Mark and Ruben made sure every detail was meticulously completed as we wanted and kept the job site neat and safe for our family as well as the neighbors. We were introduced to Innovation Design + Build through a referral from family friends. When someone says the often rare phrase "WE LOVE OUR CONTRACTOR", you have follow up. We had a very challenging basement project which required intense structural, plumbing, electrical, framing and design work. From the beginning with the sales team (shout out to Meghan!) and design team, and throughout the entire project execution phase, we were incredibly happy. Trevor and Chris and the entire build team was highly organized and communicated incredibly well. The calendar was orchestrated expertly, with minimal delays with subs. The job site was spotless at the end of each day. As all projects always have surprises, they were managed with fantastic leadership, with a focus on solving the problem quickly and inexpensively. We hired Innovative Design Build (based in Peachtree Corners) to do a renovation of the main floor of our 1967 traditional house. That included a complete kitchen redo and renovation of living room, dining room, back porch and new floors for the entire level. From the beginning it felt like we were dealing with total professionals compared to our previous reno experiences. They came in with a complete project management approach; processes and procedures, timelines and all kinds of ways to keep them (and us) accountable. It wasn’t just lip service, either. They embraced the use of technology, and actually had plans for all of the trades as well as us. They stayed on schedule, managed their subcontractors well and kept us informed and in the loop on both positive parts of the project as well as negative (its an old house so things happen). We found them to be very communicative and open to different ideas as well as feedback from us. They cleaned up every night and kept the work site looking great and secure. We chose to use them also for interior design and new furniture selections and that ended up being a smart decision because Molly and Sabrina came up with some wonderful ideas that we frankly never would’ve done on our own. Kudos to Meghan for working with us and communicating frequently from start to finish, Raul (our first class project manager), Haylen and Santiago who all went out of the way to take care of us, be responsive and fix things whenever we brought them to their attention. Clark Harris, the owner, has a very professional approach to how he does business, and we are so satisfied with the outcome as well as their follow up work after the project was finished. Would highly recommend them whether you are looking to do a major house Reno or just some smaller projects.

Like many people, we had been talking about doing an extensive renovation for years, but lacked the design and execution expertise to feel confident about getting the project underway. We reached out to several organizations, and from the onset of these engagements it was clear that Innovative understood us, our needs, and were committed to getting us what we envisioned. During this phase, nobody in the Atlanta metro area displayed the responsiveness or attention like Innovative
Starting with the preliminary meetings, Meghan did a wonderful job of listening to our wants, concerns, and needs. She did an amazing job of answering questions, being upfront and honest about our reservations, and bringing in the experts where we needed more detail.
The design process was great with Molly and Sabrina. They did an awesome job of cultivating our style and needs into beautiful options that we could chose from. What is really special about Innovative is the connections the company has between the working groups (sales, design, logistics, construction). Because all of these groups are so well coordinated, we felt super confident we would be getting the vision we created.
Innovative did an excellent job keeping a schedule and working toward that. Even before we started construction we had an online dashboard with all the milestones and deliverables clearly outlined. This contributed to our confidence that we were being supported throughout the entire process.
During construction we had two project managers, Chris and Trevor, who put our needs and the quality of our project as top priorities. Communication throughout the 4 month project was incredible and just what we needed. Chris and Trevor never came to us with problems that they didn’t already have solutions for. As with all projects, things come up that are unexpected. But Chris and Trevor handled those with such professionalism and care for the customer. We could not have been happier with them. Along with our project managers were carpenters and handymen Mark and Ruben. These two guys were so helpful and diligent. Having this crew at the house everyday made us feel incredibly supported! As we progressed through the projects, there were several instances that we needed to make changes to the schedule. This team accommodated everything we requested which was a difficult task considering all of the subcontractors required to execute on a project of our scope. If we had to do that ourselves, it would have been a nightmare. Thank you, Innovative, for being so accommodating!
The finished product we received was better and more functional that we had ever hoped for. Innovative's experience really shines through with their quality and thoughtfulness. And as an added bit of ongoing support, their team is very responsive post completion. They answer calls and texts and come back out to help fix anything that is not 100% perfect. They also have an eye for the details where they are spotting and fixing things we never saw.

Of all the contractors we've ever dealt with, we've never been as completely thrilled as we were with everyone on the Innovative team.
In every phase of the project - from price estimation, to design, to 6 months of daily construction in the lowest level of our house - everyone involved in our project constantly showed the HIGHEST possible levels of professionalism, punctuality, respect for our privacy, and dedication to the perfection of their various skills.
Firstly Clark and Diego were excellent communicators. Always available for any questions or concerns we had, and always ready with solutions. That's not something you can say about all contractors, especially once the big checks have all cleared toward the end of a project.
Designers Molly and Sabrina made fantastic layouts both architectural and interior design-wise. They provided many architectural details to carry and enhance details from the other floors of the house into the lower - details that would never have occurred to us, but which we love. Their suggestions in furniture, color schemes, appliances, lighting and other choices were immaculate. It almost seemed like they could read our minds with the various choices of tiles, fabrics etc.
Project Manager Diego Hernandez and his team (Isaias, Diego SR, Justin and others) were amazing. Beyond the dedication to (and perfection of) the craft of construction - there was the adherence to schedule, the attention to cleanliness, and general commitment to excellence in every aspect of their work.
Diego was particularly adept at meeting the deadlines of the schedule - even when that meant rescheduling his crews' activities to accommodate delays imposed by outside agencies - such as suppliers, inspectors, sub-contractors or the elevator installation company. He also adeptly worked in change orders for us and dealt smoothly with the afore-mentioned elevator installers.
Project managing seems to resemble riding a bull at a rodeo at times. Diego never got thrown!
All in all we cannot say enough - or recommend highly enough - the phenomenal dedication and expertise we experienced with Innovative Design and Build.

As I grew up, my parents taught me to show up on time for school and work, work hard, give a task my best effort possible, be respectful of other people’s property, and be kind to others.
How delighted I have been to engage Innovative Design + Build (ID+B) recently. It seems the Company and all employees were also raised by my mom and dad.
Meghan was the Project Coordinator for my kitchen renovation, and was so attentive to my thoughts about a new kitchen, as well as any time I called or texted her to ask a question. She met with me several times and walked me through the 12 steps the Company employs to keep my project on task, on time, and on budget, and started me with BuilderTrend, their electronic platform for communication that is priceless. She was always honest and straightforward, and in the nicest way. She thoroughly communicated my ideas to my Designer, Cassie.
Cassie listened closely to my wishes and ideas, and offered appropriate choices to narrow down the best selections for paint colors, countertop, hardware, lighting fixtures, cabinet styles, choices of doors, backsplash, flooring and window treatments. She then created a couple of design sketches that incorporated my ideas and her expertise to get us to the absolutely perfect plan!
Sabrina, my Draftsperson, took those sketches and drafted them to exact measurements and specifications so I and all ID+B folks and all subcontractors would be able to refer to them daily and no mistakes were made. Excellent work!
The Friday before my project was to begin on Monday, I met Raul, my Project Manager, and Haylan, my Site Supervisor. These two gentlemen were invaluable to me. They were onsite at my home or texting me continuously with updates to keep me informed of how my project was progressing. If a painter or electrician suddenly had an opening in their schedule, they would work to get the subcontractor in and keep me on schedule or even earlier than my projected finish date. They gave me a walk-through and update every week and continued to ask for my feedback. They made suggestions that helped my house be more efficient, and assisted me in so many ways I can’t count them all. They were very respectful of me and my husband, our dogs, and our property.
I must say Santiago, my Carpenter, is such a great employee and a genuinely nice person. He arrived daily at least 10 minutes early and kept the project area clean and organized. In addition to his excellent carpentry work on my project, he built shelves for a small closet in my guest bathroom and fixed two doors that had not closed properly in years. He was so thoughtful and helpful during the project that I miss him and his gentle ways now that my renovation is finished.
All employees and subcontractors were the best folks I have met. All were trustworthy and respectful, in addition to being the best at their craft. I don’t mean to overlook anyone, but the cabinetmaker, electricians and painters were excellent subcontractors. The quality of work, and attention to detail, is so evident that I am thankful every day I decided to use ID+B. And I would use them again and again.
