I've just recently started muay thai and the experience has been great. The staff are friendly, easy to talk to and supportive. The other fighters are all supportive, friendly and take into consideration your skill level and adjust to it, and provide feedback on where to improve. Overall been a great experience and it's sparked a new passion for me. Highly recommend trying Immersion MMA 🫡

One of the very very few martial art gyms that can offer Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai classes in the morning. Professional and friendly coaches, lovely classmates. Good vibes and form a closed community already. I love the gym a lot!

First time experiencing BJJ, immediately felt at ease from the team (especially the ben's) and other members. Who knew getting submitted on a mat was so fun? Haha. I immediately enrolled and have done two classes so far. I highly recommend this gym!

I’ve been training at Immersion for about a month now and can’t speak highly enough of the place. Dave is fantastic — incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Both Bens at the front desk are also super welcoming and make you feel right at home from day one. The overall environment is supportive, inclusive, and really well run. Couldn’t recommend it more to anyone looking to start/continue their Jiu Jitsu journey.

I have been training Muay Thai at Immersion MMA for a month now. So far so good everyone's been really kind, helpful and polite. Couldn't have asked for a better receptionist, Ben has been incredibly helpful for new starters and always there to answer questions without hesitance. Mee is an awesome trainer, very techinical and knowledgeable when it comes to Muay Thai. Feel like I've learned so much from him with my first month at Immersion MMA. Definitely recommend giving it a shot, step out of your comfort zone. You won't regret it!

Can someone please talk about the front desk guy "Bens" energy in person & the phone? The guy is so vibrant. Legit hooks you up to the gym with his positive vibe and energy. Def one of the best sales/front desk people out there. Had a trial of 3 dif gym in my area. Def Ben's energy was the difference maker & getting me signed up here. Now getting my mate to sign up here too.

Friendly and humble gym 😊 Brought my aunt—a keen Jiu Jitsuer visiting from NZ—for a casual drop-in class, and everyone was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The lead instructor was excellent—super knowledgeable—and the friendly admin guy made us feel right at home. Despite the class being all men, my aunt felt completely included and had no trouble finding partners. I brought my baby in a pram and even she was warmly welcomed! My aunt’s already planning her next visit. Highly recommend—especially for first-timers or shy beginners!

The positives of this establishment; The members, the everyday people there are super relaxed and there is minimal ego involved. The cleanliness, the matts and toilets, showering area is very clean and taken care of. The front desk people are very positive and kind, so the average person will not feel intimidated by the place at all. I came to establishment originally 2 years ago and it has deteriorated significantly in certain respects since that time. I'm hoping this organisation can endeavour to fix their misgivings and return to their past. Here are the negative things I have experienced here; 1. The mauy thai classes are divided into two groups, with two coaches. one coach from thailand, and one from australia. The thai coach is wonderful, he has helped me immensely in improving my technique and getting bad habits out of my form. This individual has no negative energy to him, or ego. The other mauy thai coach whom is australian, seems to me slightly egotistical, which is not what a coach should be at all, especially in charge of other people. He often singles people out in the class based on his likes and dislikes and will make them do things other members do not have to do. The way he talks to you, is not in a friendly way. Overall he seems like a very strange man, when I was there I was curious why they put someone so immature as a coach, this is quite irresponsible. Especially so when many people who go into this art are not confident in themselves and lack self estreem, they need a supportive environment and coach to push them and their growth. Due to my work often taking me out of country, I had to leave and put my payment plan on a pause, after which I was mistakenly charged. I was told by the head desk that I can use this charge later and they would save it for me. A few weeks after that the pause period on my subscription was unpaused, and I received no notification about and it began charging from my account without my knowledge. This is quite bizarre, as I often deal with client side payment processing and most subscription based payment processes always send a notification when their subscription will renew. After this I emailed immersion multiple times, with no reply. After a week I got a text message reply back, them asking for a phone call to sort out the issue, I explained due to my work I am currently out of country and cannot call, and to email me. That message has been ignored and so has the emails I sent. At this point I have given up on trying to get my funds back, which was now about around 240 aud, I was also charged a 9.99 dishonour fee by their crediting company, ezebit. I feel quite disheartened and like I am not being treated with respect at all. The organisation needs to ensure they maintain their discipline amongst their coaches, as well as their treatment of customers needs to improve.

Hi Nathan,

Thanks for your review! I’m really glad to hear you had a great experience with our members, the cleanliness of the gym, and our front-of-house team. I’m also happy to hear Coach Mee had a positive impact on your training - he's awesome!

I appreciate the constructive feedback specifically on the "Australian Coach". We have several on staff so I'm not sure who specifically you are referring to, however I will definitely raise your concerns with the team so we can do better and ensure a consistent and supportive environment across the board.

Regarding the payments, I’ve looked into your account and feel it’s important to clarify what actually happened, as several important details were left out of your review.

- In May, you requested a suspension to try rock climbing. Our team sent you the Suspension Form immediately and also offered a cancellation, since you weren’t sure of your return date. You chose to suspend.

- The form was never submitted, so your membership continued as normal.

- When you reached out after being charged, we issued a full training credit ($120) to your account, despite the fact that the missed form submission was on your end.

- You later completed the suspension form, selecting your own suspension period. You were also emailed a confirmation with bold reminders that billing resumes automatically after suspension ends and importantly, to mark the date in your calendar.

- When your suspension ended, billing resumed as expected. Your next payment failed (no money was taken) and a $9.90 dishonour fee was charged by Ezidebit, not by us. Our team has contacted them and arranged to have that fee also reversed for you.

- You then requested cancellation, which we processed the same day after hours at 11:08pm to make sure it was handled promptly.

- Two months later, you’re asking for the $120 training credit to be refunded as cash. To be clear, that credit was issued as a goodwill gesture to support your return, not a refund.

- You also stated you’re out of pocket $240+, but based on the actual transactions, that figure doesn’t reflect what’s occurred.

We’re always happy to fix genuine mistakes but in this case, the team went above and beyond to help, even when responsibility lay with you. I’m sorry you’re dissatisfied, but I believe we handled this fairly and with professionalism at every step.

All the best with your training journey from here.

- Dave

P.S. Feel free to reach out to me on 8555 9881 if you'd like to discuss further.
