I commissioned IMKAT Construction to build an ADU, and I could not be more pleased with both the final result and the overall experience. I first connected with IMKAT years ago through Eugene, one of their project managers. I had to pause the project when I moved to Arizona for work, but Eugene stayed in touch in exactly the right way. He was never pushy, but he checked in enough to make me feel like he genuinely cared about helping me bring this project to life. Before moving back, I was actually leaning toward another company, but Eugene’s professionalism and connection were a big reason I ultimately chose IMKAT. Once the contract was signed, Faizan was assigned as my project manager, and he was outstanding. He was readily available, kept me informed throughout every phase, and gave excellent recommendations that helped me make decisions quickly and confidently. I never felt stressed during the project, which says a lot. Faizan is a true professional, and if I ever build another ADU, I would absolutely request to work with him again. Lastly, a sincere shoutout to Ruvim, IMKAT’s CFO, who worked with me patiently through the financing process. It took some time to find the right financing, and Ruvim handled everything with professionalism, patience, and understanding. That made a stressful part of the project feel much more manageable. The ADU turned out beautifully, and I’m very grateful to Eugene, Faizan, Ruvim, and the entire IMKAT team. I highly recommend them.

We are about to complete a construction project with IMKAT Construction, and I cannot say enough positive things about the experience. Eugene was truly a shining star throughout the entire process. As anyone who has been involved in construction knows, every project encounters a few unexpected pitfalls and challenges along the way. What set Eugene apart was his ability to address concerns quickly, communicate clearly, and provide solutions that kept everything moving forward. Whenever an issue arose, a conversation with Eugene immediately put our minds at ease. His professionalism, responsiveness, and dedication to customer satisfaction made a tremendous difference and turned potentially stressful situations into manageable ones. I would also like to recognize Brandon Bailey, who was another shining star during this project. Whenever his involvement was needed, Brandon stepped up, provided support, and helped ensure things stayed on track. His commitment and willingness to assist did not go unnoticed. The combination of Eugene’s leadership and Brandon’s support made for a positive overall experience. I highly recommend IMKAT Construction to anyone looking for a team that genuinely cares about their clients and stands behind their work.

I contacted IMKAT Homes because I saw, first hand, the wonderful and clean workspace that they provided for my neighbors ADU addition to their home. I made an in person/home appointment and received nothing but excellence during our meeting. They thoroughly detailed the project I had been planning . They were attentive to my needs with consideration to the property and scope of the work. I never felt rushed or pressured. Professionalism and service was stellar!

400 sq ft ADU and Garage We went with IMKAT because they were a one stop shop with a good community rating based upon our research. We enjoyed speaking and working with everyone at IMKAT. There were a few bumps in the road but everything was remedied to our complete satisfaction. We feel the goal of IMKAT was to provide a quality product, which they did with quality appliances and construction. We worked with Brandon , Angela and Faizon the attitude of these three individuals was to provide for a positive experience. If we had a question or concern Faizon was right there to say, “ I will take care if it” and he did. 👍👍 Angela Herron in the Design Center with her knowledge of design and color made it very simple for us to make our decisions as to design and layout. When it came to designing our individualized custom ADU with a two car garage on the bottom and our custom ADU over the garage we were simply blown away by the attention to detail and Faizon was there to make it happen and even providing his expertise to suggest details that made our project standout. In summary, we would definitely recommend IMKAT Construction as they provided quality construction and customer satisfaction. George and Sue

My overall experience with IMKAT was good mostly thanks to my third of fourth project manager, Faizan. He was assigned to my project after 2 or 3 other PMs who had not made any progress other than demoing my garage. Once Faizan took control, the build finally began to make quick progress on the next steps. Communication with him was always very quick and he would always respond to my texts and answer my calls right away which was a big issue with the previous PMs. He was always available to come to the job site any time I needed him, change orders were easy to request, and any repairs / touch ups were taken care of. I also had serious communication issues during my permit phase which resulted in long delays getting my plans approved. This was partially due to my own architects health problems as well as using custom plans. I assume using IMKAT plans would be a lot smoother. I had multiple people assigned to handle my permit but never saw progress until Danelle took over. She made sure my plans were correctly submitted, revised, and finally approved. I would consider using IMKAT again in the future.

We highlighted our fourth and final Project Manager, who was fantastic and really helped turn things around for us at the very end, in another review, but felt it was fair to give a review of the greater process. Our ADU started in late September and finished within the projected timeline, and while the foundational construction was fine, the overall management of the process was incredibly frustrating. The Positives: The company is fairly priced, and the initial sales process was very smooth. At the beginning, they seemed flexible and willing to accommodate custom change orders. The Negatives: Over the course of the build, we went through four different Project Managers. Management never proactively communicated these changes to us; we had to find out through out-of-office email replies or when someone simply didn’t show up. Because of this constant turnover, crucial design details fell through the cracks. We had to forgo certain details simply because one PM didn't want to accommodate them, and someone else authorized the wrong exterior paint color (which our final PM thankfully color-matched and fixed). Our biggest disappointment was the installation of our handmade terracotta bathroom tile. Because of the PM hand-offs, the specific installation guides were ignored. The tiles were sealed with dirt and footprints still on them, and despite our best efforts to deep clean, they look permanently dirty and dingy. It was a large investment that was not respected. We also ran into highly frustrating issues regarding our contract and scope of work. For example, while hardwood floors were included in our contract and the upgrade was already paid for, it was incredibly difficult to pin down the exact amount without previous versions of the contract to compare against. As a result, the company tried to charge us more to pay the "difference" on something that had already been scoped out and fully paid for. Furthermore, features we were verbally told were "standard practice" during the sales process—like dimmers on all the lighting—became points of contention later. Because it wasn't explicitly written down, it became a debate over whether these items were actually standard or an upgrade. Finally, communication was often unbalanced and difficult. When we tried to escalate issues to leadership, we found management's tone to be incredibly patronizing and difficult. Furthermore, design questions I asked in October weren't answered until months later. Yet, accounting was always eager to bill us, often before the work was actually completed (our final invoice was due Dec. 31st, but the house wasn't certified for occupancy until mid-February). Overall: The process in the middle was exhausting, communication hard, and the poor handling of high-end materials was disappointing. We were able to end on a high note with a smaller project that was completed after the ADU, but this was due likely entirely to the continuity of our final project manager.

As a real estate developer with a construction background and experience developing multiple projects, I engaged IMKAT Construction for the execution of my ADU project and was very satisfied with both the process and the final outcome. The ADU turned out great and truly reflects the vision I had going into the project. I’ve already received a lot of compliments on it. Like any construction project, there were some challenges early on with design, permitting, and parts of the construction process. That said, what really stood out was how those challenges were handled. I especially want to highlight my project manager, Vlad. He was a huge asset throughout the project. We are very grateful for Faizan. He stepped in at a time when we were feeling extremely stressed and frustrated with our project after seeing so many details fall through the cracks with previous managers. Unlike our earlier experiences, Faizan was consistently responsive and brought a much-needed attention to detail back to the build. What we appreciated most was his forethought; he was always looking several steps ahead to ensure that what we were doing today would make the later stages of the project easier and more successful. He also provided invaluable feedback based on his experience—if we had a specific idea for a feature, like a certain shelf width, he could foresee potential issues with functionality or aesthetics and guide our vision toward the best possible result. He truly "righted the ship" and got us back on the right track to finish the project with confidence. Recently finished a 700 SqFt ADU with these guys and overall the experience was great. There was quite a bit of coordination up front and they were really good at providing the information. We had a little bit of communication issues we had to work through to get the plans submitted but once the permit process was complete it was all green lights. Their Design Team was very helpful and knowledgeable in the finish selection process, which was greatly appreciated. Faizan, the PM who ended up taking the project to the finish line was awesome. Great communication, very informative, got everything coordinated and produced a finished product that I am thrilled with. As I said to start, overall this was a great experience and I would definitely use them again for future builds.
