I rarely leave negative reviews, but after nearly a year with Ignite Local, I feel obligated to warn other business owners about my experience. ( before I continue. you may leave reviews on trustpilot, ripoff report, trustindex, BBB which can not be removed)- By the way, they don’t operate with an actual contract which in situations like this seems very convenient for them. I attempted to resolve these concerns privately. I sent certified mail to the business address publicly advertised by Ignite Local regarding my intent to formally pursue the matter. The certified mail went unclaimed, which raised concerns regarding transparency and legitimacy. I also submitted concerns to Google while investigating the work performed on my account. During that process, I discovered that much of the work may have been outsourced or delegated to third-party contractors rather than handled fully in-house as originally represented to me. This structure appeared to limit accountability when services were not properly delivered. After these concerns were raised, Ignite Local offered a partial settlement representing only a fraction of what I paid. I declined because I believe other business owners deserve to know about my experience. After almost a year and nearly $10,000 spent, there was little to no measurable improvement. In many ways, my website and online presence were worse than when I originally started. Independent audits later found: * No meaningful SEO implementation * No proper indexing or sitemap setup * No true landing pages despite the upfront fee * Spammy and irrelevant backlinks added to my medical website that could potentially harm rankings What *was* consistently done was adding Ignite Local references and backlinks throughout my website to benefit their own backlinking strategy. There were also management concerns. At one point, another business advertising post was accidentally added to my Google profile. Had I not caught it myself, patients could have been directed incorrectly. The biggest confirmation came after removing Ignite Local entirely. Within two months of taking back control of my website and SEO, I saw significantly more progress than I had during the entire year working with them.

Our team made multiple good-faith efforts to address your concerns privately, including reviewing the account internally, providing documentation of work performed, and offering a resolution in an attempt to bring the matter to a fair and professional close. That offer was declined.

During the time we worked together, Ignite Local performed substantial work on your campaign, including website updates, SEO-related work, service page support, content work, backlinking, Google Business Profile support, reporting, and ongoing account management. We understand you were dissatisfied with the results and communication, and we take that feedback seriously, but we do not agree that services were not provided.

We also want to clarify that Ignite Local is a legitimate business that has served hundreds of companies since 2014. We have long-standing clients, documented results, and a team committed to helping small businesses grow. The accusation that our company is a “scam” is false and does not reflect the work performed or the efforts made to resolve this situation.

Because this matter involves disputed claims and prior resolution discussions, we do not believe a public review thread is the appropriate place to debate every detail. That said, we stand by the work our team performed, while also acknowledging that your experience did not meet your expectations.

Here's the unexpected, over and above service our Ignite rep Dan T and his team provided. Unfortunately, my experience with this company has been extremely unprofessional. After paying for Google Ads management, I received no check-ins, no updates, and no communication for nearly two months. When I stopped payment due to the lack of service, they stopped responding entirely. I am now simply requesting my own account information and access to my Google Ads account, and they are refusing to respond or provide that information. I would have preferred to resolve this privately, but repeated attempts to get help have gone unanswered. If this is how clients are treated when they ask questions or stop payment due to non-performance, I would strongly caution others before doing business here.

I’m genuinely sorry to hear that this was your experience, and I agree that a lack of communication is unacceptable.

You are correct that one of our consultants failed to check in as they should have. Once this was brought to our attention, that individual was no longer with our company. We immediately reassigned your account, stopped all billing, and offered to refund the prior month, which you declined as you had decided to move in a different direction. We also waived our standard 30-day cancellation policy in good faith.

Regarding the Google Ads account, it is managed under our agency umbrella, which is why we cannot transfer direct ownership without exposing other client accounts. That said, we are absolutely willing to provide ad copies, performance data, and assist however needed to ensure a clean transition.

We have not heard from you since October, but we are more than willing to help resolve this and part ways on good terms. The team and I are always open to a direct conversation if you’d like to connect.

For nearly five years Ignite Local has been the sole provider of internet marketing services for Rocky Mountain Forks. With a goal of optimizing SEO to drive traffic to our website, Ignite made good on their promise that Rocky Mountain Forks would show up on the first page of Google searches within 90 days and would stay there. Mission accomplished. Ignite has been responsive to questions, pro-active in web site updates and overall has provided Rocky Mountain Forks a very good ROI on our marketing budget. Shop around and compare, I think Ignite matches up with any alternative.
