I joined iCET at a point when I had no clear purpose, and it became my first real milestone in tech. The programs are practical and industry focused, not just theory. The lecturers are industry professionals who share real world knowledge and guide you with insights that actually match what companies expect today. Their experience brings a different level of depth and makes the learning much more valuable.
What impressed me most is the focus on applying knowledge in real projects. It’s not about ticking boxes but about building skills and outcomes you can showcase. The structured environment and mentorship gave me clear direction, confidence, and momentum.
iCET helped me leave with a strong portfolio, practical knowledge, and a clear career path. Definitely recommend it if you want to break into IT with industry ready skills and guidance from people who know the field.

My experience with ICET Institute was extremely disappointing. Before I joined, they assured us that internships would be arranged for every student and that completing the course would open doors to jobs as Associate Software Engineers. Those promises were the main reason I enrolled.
In reality, none of it happened. There were no internship opportunities provided — we had to go out and find them ourselves. To make things worse, after we managed to get internships on our own, ICET asked us to record an audio statement claiming they were the ones who arranged it. They even provided a pre-written script filled with false claims.
Securing an internship was already a struggle, and finding a job after the course proved even more difficult. In the actual IT field, this qualification carries little to no weight, and many companies don’t even acknowledge it.
They sold us impressive promises, but in the end, they were just empty words. I genuinely feel deceived and would strongly advise anyone aiming for a real career in software engineering to look elsewhere.
I joined ICET with some doubts because they claimed they could produce software engineers in just 6 months and place them in software engineering jobs. They also showcased success stories of people who had “successfully completed” the program and were now working as software engineers.
I wondered how this was possible, so I went to meet Dr. Niroth. He told me that their program was totally enough and even advised me to stop my degree and join his institute. This advice was also given to a few other students. The funny thing is, I later met Dr. Niroth’s daughter at IIT she never took his course and is instead pursuing a degree at IIT.
In our intake, there were over 300 students at the beginning. They pushed us hard until the number dropped to between 50 and 70. Niroth kept saying, “I only need 3 success students,” and constantly demotivated everyone else. He even told some students outright that they couldn’t complete the program, despite the fact that many of them could have succeeded if they had been taught well or given proper support. Instead, they were dropped.
Niroth and his staff constantly talked about the industry, yet none of them had ever actually worked in it except for Frank Sir. The Academic Manager had only completed A/Ls, the Manager was an after O/L guy, the CEO was an after A/L girl, the Marketing Manager used to be a tour agent, and the Assistant Lecturers came from IJSE. Later, I was told that Dr. Niroth had a fake PhD. When I searched for his university or any of his research work, I couldn’t find anything.
If you want to become a software engineer from a staff of after A/Ls, I highly recommend this 😁
I had a very bad experience with ICET Institute. Before joining, they told us that they would arrange internships for students and that after completing the course, we could get jobs as Associate Software Engineers. These promises were the main reason I joined.
But the truth was different. They did not give us any internship opportunities. We had to search and find one on our own. After we found an internship ourselves, ICET asked us to record a voice cut saying that they helped us get it — which was not true. They even gave us a script for the voice cut that was full of lies.
Finding an internship was already very hard, and getting a job after the course was even harder. In the real IT industry, this course and certificate have no real value. Many companies don’t even recognize it.
They made us believe in big dreams, but in the end, those dreams were just empty words. I feel cheated, and I would not recommend this institute to anyone who wants a real career in software engineering.
