I used Ian to build my wordpress photography and essay website and it was great. He was friendly, saved me a lot of time and money chasing rabbits that I didn't know about and answered all of my many questions quickly. I literally could not have done it without him and the end result was way better than anything I could do myself. I'm in the US so there was a time zone difference, but it didn't seem to matter at all. Highly recommended.

I can heartily recommend Ian as a professional photography guide. We spent about four hours shooting Lake Bled before, during, and after sunrise. It was magical. He picked me up, lent me a tripod, helped me with my compositions and settings, and was eager to share his photography knowledge. I wouldn’t hesitate to go another photography adventure with Ian.

I’ve had a nature photo gallery website since 2009 and a WordPress nature photography blog since 2010. I like to blog about my nature photography experiences and believe WordPress provides the best blogging platform for ease of use and SEO benefits. I always wanted the photo gallery to be on the same website as the blog, but I never saw a WordPress website that had what I thought was a really good photo gallery as part of it. I came to believe WordPress was great for blogging but not so great for showing one’s photos. Then I found Ian. After looking at his site and others he has created, I came to believe Ian could create a great photo gallery as part of a WordPress website. Thanks to Ian, I now have that. Ian is a walking encyclopedia on WordPress and SEO. I’ve also become tired of doing my own printing, using and maintaining a large format printer. Ian has built my site so buyers are seamlessly transferred to my Fine Art America site to purchase prints. Ian is also the easiest guy in the world to work with, and he has agreed to maintain my site while I concentrate on photography. If you want a great photo gallery integrated into a great blogging platform do what I did and contact Ian.

Ian is an incredible photographer and even better teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed my one day 1 on 1 workshop with him in Slovenia. His knowledge of area is flawless and he has eye for detail. I picked up few new techniques during this trip. He is very patient and flexible with respect to weather which worked to my favor. He was agreeable to most of my requests and I was able to photograph all my favorites in Slovenia. Highly highly recommend! Hope to go back to Slovenia again in future.

Ian worked with me for five hours at Lake Bled in Slovenia just a few weeks ago. The time flew by. His combination of good cheer, deep knowledge of his subject, and gentle teaching style is a rare find. He helped me a lot with composition; long exposures: use of various types of filters; use of apps such as PhotoPill, Shutter, and PeakFinder; and post-processing. And it was simply a joy to be with someone who clearly loves what he is doing. I would highly recommend working with him if you get, or can create, the opportunity.

Ian has been managing our website for a few months now and it's a blast. He rebuilt the website to be more informative for people, more discoverable for search engines, and in line with our brand guidelines. We're already seeing great SEO results, with Shutter starting to appear on the first pages of Google's search results. Monthly management from Ian also exceeded all expectations. He takes time to understand the business and tailors his suggestions and content creation to real needs of (in our case) app users.
