My daughter has attended Hype Dance for nearly 2 years now and she absolutely loves it. It’s the first place she’s actually stuck with, we’ve tried a few different activities at different places over the years but she doesn’t tend to stick to something for long - except her ballet/tap class. Really friendly staff, wonderful and welcoming atmosphere and most importantly they’re inclusive and welcome everyone ❤️ can’t recommend enough!

Been coming here on and off for many years. I agree with what others have stated, its nice to find somewhere that focuses on adult classes, not just children's. Sarah and Jo are brilliant instructors who know thier stuff.

We came to Hype Dance for some private lessons for our wedding first dance. They were quick at getting back in touch and very helpful. We had lesson with Paulina, she was amazing! Made us feel comfortable and even when i was unable to attend because I was ill she made videos and sent them to us so we could practice. Thank you so much Paulina and everyone at Hype xx

I used to go to this dance company before I had to quit a few years ago, I loved his place. I can't show my name on here but you may remember how I used to always forget stuff in the morning so Miss Ingrid always asked me what my breakfast was. I did have a sister and I used to join her mini movers class, I'm two years older than her. If you do remember me, I haven't forgot about you guys! I miss those Saturdays and I miss being able to see all my friends. And when Miss Skye left I was so sad but I hope she's doing well now! If you still can't figure out who I am then I can tell you what dances I was apart of. I was apart of The Siamese Cat dance from 2018, the Dobby / harry potter dance in 2019 I think, I was in the lilo and stitch dance in 2022 I think and I was going to partake in the Alice in wonderland dances but i wasn't able to since I had to leave Hype. But if I was to partake in AIW I would be in the catapillar dance for acro and this white rabbit dance I think it was. I keep pushing my mum to sign me up again and hopefully she will some day! And it's good to see my friends still going there on the tiktok page. Bye!!!

This is the first studio I’ve found that puts as much effort and attention into the adults as it does to the children’s classes. Having grown up dancing before moving to Sheffield, I struggled to find a dance studio that offered everything I needed as an adult… drop in dance lessons with a focus on technique, great choreography, structured content, annual dance shows and additional performance opportunities. Hype was able to offer me all this in a wide range of styles. The atmosphere and people are all great too!!

I have attended Hype for over a decade as a parent of a Hype dancer. Now I also attend the adult classes. I could write an essay on the support, opportunities and amazing time we have both had. My advice would be if you are a beginner be brave and book the class! If you are already a dancer go and find the Hype community you didn't know you needed! Lauren, Paulina and all the teachers are outstanding in every way. Hype dance is definitely more than just dance!

Joining Hype has been one of the best decisions I've made. The training and support I’ve received have been exceptional across every style — ballet, jazz, contemporary, and choreo. I have used hype dance in a number of ways; classes, tuition and studio hire and it is great. The teachers are friendly and welcoming in classes and the choreography is always engaging. I have recently attended the choreo classes with Paulina. She has incredible musicality and she teaches choreo in a way that lets a mixture of abilities explore their own, to a really great selection of music. The classes are drop in style, but in all the ones I have attended I see the same faces again and again, which speaks for itself in terms of the community atmosphere!

Adult dance classes at Hype Dance are fantastic. The teachers are all really skilled and it is an inclusive environment. I have done dance as a hobby for years and this is the most inclusive, friendly school I’ve ever been too.

I love the contemporary classes with Lauren. The atmosphere is supportive and she really encourages you to let go with the movements. This subltely helps you improve your musicality and execution, but mainly allows the dance to be a great release, confidence building and fun!

Our daughter had an ABBA-themed birthday party at Hype. It was fantastic! Our dance instructor Paulina was very friendly and enthusiastic. She ensured everyone felt welcome and engaged. The ABBA-themed dance activities were inclusive and fun, with a great playlist of ABBA hits that kept all the kids dancing. As a bonus the kids were invited to watch a "tapathon" which was organised for children in need. My daughter gives Hype big 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

My wife and I had a private dance lesson at Hype, with Paulina. It was a wonderful experience! We were made to feel comfortable, then gently stretched in what we felt ok doing. Paulina was pleasant and chatty throughout, and really helped us learn how we can do easy social dancing. Thanks to all for making this such a good evening!
