As a big family with 10 adults and two young children, Kings Cottage at Huso Lodge was perfect for us. Danae was very helpful in getting everything arranged before and during our stay. They were kind and went out of their way to help us find cross-country skis and extra equipment for the babies, which made a big difference for our trip.
They also took the time to show us how to use the sauna and the wilderness hot tub, which we really appreciated and enjoyed a lot.
We especially loved the beautiful nature surrounding the cabin, the cozy atmosphere, and how well equipped the cottage was. Having two dishwashers and multiple bathrooms made it incredibly comfortable and convenient for a large group like ours.
All in all, it was a perfect stay for our family, and we would definitely love to come back.
Vi giftet oss på Huso Lodge 12-15. mars, og kunne virkelig ikke vært mer fornøyde! Danae, Jose og teamet på Huso gjorde helgen helt fantastisk! Uansett hvilke forespørsler vi hadde var de løsningsorienterte og fleksible, slik at helgen ble akkurat som vi ønsket! Alle gjestene har skrytt av stedet, alle venues og ikke minst maten som ble servert! Den var helt nydelig. Muligheten for at alle kan bo samlet, resulterte i at vi fikk livets hyttetur med alle våre venner og familie, og med badestamper og badstuer var det god stemning på alle hytter. Domen som venue gjorde at bryllupet ble komplett med en skikkelig fest!
Vi kan varmt anbefale Huso Lodge til alle, enten om det er til bryllup, jobbevent eller bare en hyttetur. Stedet må oppleves!

Vi er så fornøyde med stedet og alle som jobber der. God og enkel kommunikasjon gjennom hele planleggingen og gjennomføringen. Huso har noen fantastiske venues, og vi kunne ikke fått en bedre helg. Anbefaler Huso på det sterkestes. Store, fine og rene hytter og leiligheter.
Since 2012, we have been spending our winter holidays in Norway every February, visiting various destinations and finding beautiful spots such as Trysil, Tyin, and Beitostølen. This year, our group of 21 people stayed at Huso for the first time with Danae and Björn as our hosts.
To put it simply – everything felt easy and right. The booking process, the communication, the on-site organization, and the genuine warmth of Danae and Björn captured our hearts immediately. There was nothing that couldn't be organized, even on short notice, and we felt cared for and looked after at all times.
We stayed in the Viking House and were more than satisfied. The kitchen was well-equipped and functional, and there were plenty of bathrooms and toilets. All of us found enough space across the 12 rooms, and the dining and living area was both cozy and practical.
The two hot tubs, the outdoor sauna including an ice hole for dipping, the 100m cross-country ski track right at our doorstep, and Björn’s delicious selection of Elg meat were just a few of the many highlights that made our time in Huso unforgettable. This means we will definitely be back—we have truly taken Huso, Danae, and Björn into our hearts. Thank you and see you soon - Dago :)
Perfekt opphold for skoleklassen vår. Hytta har en god standard, er stor, romslig og har mange soverom. Her kan du ta med en stor gruppe uten at man går oppå hverandre. Hytta har fantastiske badestamper og badstue som passer perfekt på en kald vinterdag. Plasseringen er idyllisk og det er kort vei til ulike aktiviteter
We had a Fantastic time at Huso with our family! We stayed at Kings Cottage and enjoyed the spacious lodge, fireplaces, sauna, hottub and phenomenal views! Our kids (and we as well 😉) also really liked the sledding hill and ice rink. Combined with the numerous outdoor activities (skiing in Hemsedal, husky tour, cross-country skiing etc) this made for the perfect winter get-away! With seeing the beautiful northern lights as the cherry on the cake!

Fantastisk sted og veldig original hytte. Svært positivt med badestamp, hull i isen og sauna. Vi leide lokal kokk og hadde en utrolig flott matopplevelse en av kveldene, kan virkelig anbefales. På den andre siden hadde vi noen utfordringer med mus og maur under besøket. Videre kunne hytta vært noe bedre rengjort ved ankomst.

We spent New Year’s at King’s Cottages at Huso Lodge in Hemsedal and couldn’t have asked for a better place or better hosts.Danae and Bjørn, together with Konstanze, did an absolutely amazing job. From the very first moment, everything felt welcoming and effortless. The location is simply stunning — surrounded by pure nature, peaceful, and incredibly beautiful.We stayed with a group of 20 people, and the house was comfortable and spacious for everyone. There was more than enough room, and we enjoyed every single minute of our stay.What really made the experience special was the care and attention from the hosts. They helped us with every little wish — from cutting an ice hole in the lake for ice bathing, to organizing cross-country skis, snowshoes, and other outdoor equipment. Everything was available, well prepared, and handled with so much warmth and kindness.It truly felt like staying at a friend’s place. We will absolutely come back! Vi valgte å gifte oss på Huso av tre grunner; omgivelsene, fasilitetene og menneskene vi ble møtt av der oppe. Teamet på Huso har vært helt fantastiske å jobbe med frem mot den store feiringen. Vi har følt oss så ivaretatt gjennom hele opplegget, og ikke minst under selve bryllupshelgen. De ansatte på Huso er imøtekommende, serviceinnstilte og løsningsorienterte. De gjør virkelig alt de kan for at bryllupet blir akkurat slik brudeparet ønsker. Vi har utelukkende fått strålende tilbakemeldinger fra gjestene og vi kunne ikke vært mer fornøyd med hvordan bryllupsfeiringen ble.
Vi vil på det varmeste anbefale Huso Lodge hvis man ønsker et utforglemmelig bryllup i fjellheimen.
