Thank you Paloa. I am grateful for your comments and your recognition of my team by name. You said that you are not an easy customer and that gives your words even more weight.

I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed with some aspects of the project and that we did not fully meet your expectations. To clarify a few points, on the design change, we could not install the recessed shelf in due to the wall construction. This was not apparent to the designer but became evident to the installer when he arrived. On occasions we may need to discuss and amend the design if something becomes apparent at strip out that we did not see at the site visit. Concerning the tile edges, the glazed tiles used on this project were particularly difficult to finish cleanly due to the nature of the material. We tried different methods, including wet cutting and polishing, and selected what we believed to be the best and most durable solution under the circumstances. On the decorating you asked us to leave the door frame and also the plasterboard joint and I understand you have now wallpapered the bathrooms to give the finish you wanted. The drainage odour issue reported in your flat was also addressed by installing an air admittance valve in the kitchen area as a solution to improve the system ventilation. I acknowledge there were several follow up visits and delays with this causing frustration. We always aim to deliver a high standard of workmanship and customer service, and we regret that you were left dissatisfied on this occasion.
