Fantastic day with two great guides
We strongly recommend Huella Andina. The organization of our day to the Glacier of Osorno by José was flawless. José was always very clear and responsive in his email communications. We were assigned two guides for our group of 4. Matias and Karla were very professional and provided us with all the necessary instructions. They guided us with a steady pace which made the excursions easier than expected. It was our first experience at moving as a roped team on a glacier and we felt very secure. We strongly recommend this excursion. It is certainly one of the highlights of our 10 trip in Chile.
Amazing trip climbing three volcanoes
Superb experience with Huella Andina on a continuous trip to climb Osorno, Puyehue and Sierra Nevada volcanoes over five days. Superb safe and personal guiding by Falco, fabulous food and great accommodation. Cannot recommend highly enough - this is a company that is expert at guiding in this area and makes the whole process very smooth. We would have no hesitation in using them again and can’t wait to the next time.

Unmissable experience! The best view
Unmissable experience!The adventure begins at Refugio Teski, a warm, welcoming, and very family-like place. The ascent the following day is worth every step. We were accompanied by a red full moon at the start of the journey, and upon reaching the summit, the sky was completely clear, revealing the immensity of the Los Lagos Region.There are no words to describe the emotion of this adventure.Endlessly grateful, and a special thank you to Falco, who was our guide—without a doubt, the best!
Osorno, unpayable views
Both promotion and stay in the shelter spotless. The retreat is a hotel, impeccable both the attention and facilities. Spectacular ascent, the view from the unpayable summit. Also the most remarkable thing for me , is to have guides with extensive experience in ice climbing, and that they more than meet, providing all their experience and safety measures according to the situation, extensive knowledge of the volcano and its glacier, excellent management of the forecast (based on climate predictions, which allowed me to summit) Highly recommended, I would hire them again!
I had a great experience with Huella Andina for my climb of Osorno Volcano. Eduardo and Matias are both excellent, friendly guides with great knowledge of the mountain who got us up and down the volcano safely. Can highly recommend!
Osorno climb December 2025
I climbed Osorno volcano in December 2025 with Huella Andina Expeditions. Our guide Matías Contreras Altamirano was excellent. He is a very relaxed and professional mountain guide. All communication with José regarding the planning was tip-top. Highly recommended.

Well the weather gods were not in our favor but it guide Miguel was amazing.
The day we were supposed to hike osorno was supposed to be very bad weather. Tour company worked with us to reschedule it a day ahead (given we had very limited time). The weather still being sketchy Miguel kept us honest of the conditions and the low possibility of summit.
When he noticed us pushing, he took us to the summit (with no visibility). And made sure we come down as well.
The winds were quite strong he helped me where needed and also gave us good tips.
Would highly recommend them and in future if we decide to do it again (with good weather) would definitely reach out. Thank you.
Wonderful experience
The trip was really amazing. The team from Huella Andina Expeditions was very helpful. Weather was perfect, the vulcano is more than beautiful and a special thanks to my guide Matias. He's a pretty cool guy with a lot of experience, expertise and confidence. Everything was perfect.

I had a great experience with this tour. It was myself and two other people The tour guide was knowledgeable about information about the area. Did a great job helping me with my crampons and explaining the best way to climb. Gave us plenty of time at the top to take pictures Overall it was an excellent time.

We went without previous mountain experience and loved it, the views of the Osorno and its surroundings are amazing! The guides José Miguel, and Matias were very friendly and attentive, from the previous consultations by mail to finish the walk. We felt very comfortable and safe from moment one. I definitely recommend!
Amazing Osorno climb
Climbed Volcan Osorno with Falco on 29 Jan 2025 - it was amazing! Great organisation, Jose Miguel was very responsive and always willing to help and answer questions, the technical equipment was provided (there's no need for previous technical experience), and Falco was very helpful and supportive all along the climb! Would definitely recommend for any ascension or trek in the area
I had a wonderful day on Osorno! Even though I booked on very short notice José Miguel made it possible, the communication before the tour was very fast and straightforward, answering all my questions and providing all the details on the tour. The equipment was high quality and in good condition and Falco was an amazing guide, I learned a lot about the region chatting with him and he made sure I reached the top safe and at a convenient pace.
We did the ascent of Orsono Volcano with HA Expeditions. Wow - it was an amazing experience! The trip includes staying at Teski Refugio (great mountain character) the night before which makes the early start so much easier. Matias our guide was fantastic! - super knowledgeable, fun, and confidence inspiring. Ice climbing was incredible and the gear provided (helmet, harness, ice axe and crampons) was all great quality. Summit views outstanding - highly recommend HA Expeditions and Orsono!

Responsive booking; solid guide; great mountain experience for the effort required
Responsive booking: because of my schedule and the weather forecast I contacted Huella Andina Saturday afternoon to inquire about a Monday booking for the Osorno glacier tour. Tight turnaround, so I had low expectations. But they answered my e mail within 10 minutes, and within 45 minutes had answered a couple gear questions and set the whole thing up. Part of this was luck, since they already had a trip booked and allowed me to join, but part was that they were on the ball and quickly answering e mails. Solid guiding: the guide (Matias) was pleasant and knowledgeable. He did a particularly good job of setting a sensible pace that kept us moving steadily, not too fast, but fast enough to get where we needed to be. I felt in good hands and relaxed. Great mountain experience. I have some mountaineering experience and if I had had more time would like to have booked a summit tour. But the shorter tour to the Osorno glacier really packed a big mountain experience into a small time window. We spent about an hour walking in crampons, a good part of that on the glacier (I couldn’t tell when we were on snow over glacier as opposed to snow over ground). When we turned around, it felt like we had come a long way up a big mountain. So obviously, the true mountaineer will want to book the summit tour, but if you can’t do that for whatever reason you will still get a big mountain experience with this shorter tour. Oh, and we descended via glissade — a total blast that alone justified the tour price and got us down in less than a fourth of the time it took to ascend.

This mountaineering trip onto the volcano was absolutely amazing. Communication before the trip was smooth, and the provided gear was of high quality, making the climb safe and comfortable. The guides were fantastic—knowledgeable and supportive. The climb itself was both challenging and rewarding, with breathtaking views from the summit. It was a well-organised and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended for anyone who loves an adventure!
