I highly recommend Grimcon Inc. This company did the parging on my front porch after the 1050's cement porch was repaired. Their employees demonstrated a great attitude and professionalism. They explained what they had to do and made wise suggestions. They showed up on the agreed upon time and completed their work, as well as the clean up, thoroughly.
As a matter of fact, they are coming back in the spring to repoint my chimney!

Best part of working with Grimcon was the care - excellent cleanup of our property. The work required scaffolding on our neighbours property. We had Grimcon come and take down a non working chimney that was crumbling. We had the best experience with this company- from start to finish! These are the things that impressed me about dealing with Grimcon- communication- from start of the project, throughout the project and after the project was done. Alex even took videos to show me what I couldn’t see up on the roof line. Customer service - goes hand in hand with their great communication skills. They listen, they care and they treat you like their number one priority. Alex also took the time to ask for feedback on their services, asked what was done right and where they could improve. Not to mention, Alex and Dennis were on time, friendly, had great customer service and they really worked hard the whole day they were here. The project we had required a roofer as well and Grimcon took that hassle on for us- they included in their quote the price for the roofing company to complete their portion of the job as well. We were referred to Alex and the Grimcon team by a foundation company to properly block off and seal a basement window that had been boarded over and closed in behind a finished wall by a previous homeowner and was concealed on the outside by our front steps. Over the years the brick surrounding the opening had degraded and there was an issue with both water entering the basement and access for mice.
During the initial consultation with Alex we found him to be knowledgable, straightforward and thorough (he was on site for almost an hour to discuss the issue and gather information for his quote). He also included a walkaround of the house (built in the 1920s) to inspect our brickwork generally and look at other potential areas that could grow into larger problems, and categorized other possible repairs as critical or less urgent/purely aesthetic. We appreciated that approach, offering us the opportunity to bundle some work while they were already on site to save on a future project.
Alex's team was available to work at our place within about three weeks, completing the work on the window opening along with applying a skim coat of hydraulic cement to degraded areas of the foundation wall. As part of the same project we also had repointing done in several places on the exterior and a number of broken bricks removed and replaced. Alex did a fantastic job of finding a suitable modern brick to integrate into the original masonry and dyed the mortar to a shade that suited the surrounding brickwork and made the repair seamless -- both touches we really appreciated. We encountered an additional area of the basement wall that needed repair after the project was underway, which expanded the scope of the original work, and Alex was flexible on adding more work to the job and communicated clearly and transparently on the additional cost.
The workers who handled our exterior work, Bailey and Chris, were great and very respectful of our home and property, cleaning up thoroughly after each day of work and being very mindful about not damaging the plants in the front garden while stepping through the area to do repointing of the brick along the front of the house.
We enjoyed working with Grimcon and would hire them again. I would recommend considering Alex and his team for your project.

The brick sides of our front steps were crumbling, so we contacted Grimcon. Alex attended and provided us with a quote to take down, dispose of, and rebuild the brickwork. We are very happy with his choice of brick and new cap, and he was able to work within the changes we were looking for.
