The hotel is situated in the heart of Bratislava Old Town, making it therefore the perfect accomodation to enable carefree exploration of the city. The rooms are comfortable, large and clean. The staff are welcoming and friendly. I would criticize only the bar allowing smoking, with no other available alternative for non-smokers (at least not at the time of out stay in the early December). And I do not recommend the massage in the wellness, it was the least helpful massage I’ve ever had, my neck and upper back pain and stiffness still persisted afterwards.

Co je třeba ocenit je především personál. Od recepčních, přes personál v restauraci, až po recepčního wellnessu, všichni velmi příjemní a ochotní. Perfektní snídaně, postele a lůzkoviny výborné, polštáře na výběr. Bylo nám umožněno nechat auto na parkovišti po check-outu. Hotel má příjemnou polohu, v centru města, na nábřeží, zastavky tramvaje 5 minut. Genius loci. Top interiéry. Pokud už bych měl dát návrh na zlepšení, pak jedině vytápěný žebřík na ručníky v koupelně by přišel vhod. Sauna ač je příjemná, je docela malá. Závěr: určitě doporučuji. Rád se vrátím.

Extremely racist staff from the receptionists to the waiters and waitresses in the breakfast room. If you pay attention, you will see how they treat white people against how they treat Asian and African people. Absolutely disgusting experience.

The hotel has good location and that is the only good thing here. To start with, during our arrival on 15/11/2025, we were welcomed by an extremely racist receptionist (young man without glasses) who did not even put a smile on his face. We have noted on booking-dot-com one month in advance that we would like a twin room, and we explicitly requested that again during check-in. However, the reception guy purposefully gave us a room with double bed facing the backyard with the worst view ever. We checked in at 2pm and there were plenty of rooms available, but he intentionally gave us the worst room ever. Moreover, upon entering the room, we discovered that there was only one socket on one side of the bed, which means the other person on the other side of the bed cannot charge their phone at all! Moreover, all the facilities have worn out and there is even no coffee machine in the room. In the evening we went to the basement to take the sauna but were denied entry due to overcrowd. They stated that the sauna is free, but I don’t know if they really want customers to use it or not. The nightmare did not end there. During breakfast we encountered extremely racist staff again. While they were very friendly towards white customers behind us, they showed racist behaviour towards us. The racist staff took our cutleries and never brought back new ones, while they gave the best and quickest service ever to the white couple behind us. They took their cutleries and brought back new ones immediately for the white couple. For us, when waiting for so long for new cutleries, we had to go straight to them to ask for new cutleries, and they did not even understand what “cutlery” is, I had to repeat “fork and knife”. This double standard and racist behaviour are extremely disgusting in a 4-star hotel like this.

A charming historical hotel which makes you travel in time, or better, out of time. Great staff, very professional. Rooms are spacious and very clean. The food offer is amazing, both the breakfast buffet and the daily menu at the hotel’s café. The location is also perfect to access the old town by foot. Only the spa could be improved in terms of service and management. Highly recommended for architecture and design lovers.
