I cannot say enough great things about my experience! I was a model and this was my first professional tan service as an African American woman. From start to finish I experienced top tier customer service! I extremely appreciate the attention to detail and consideration for accommodating my desire to be photographed modestly while still capturing the tan because that's almost impossible ask but the photographer and owner made it work! I felt super comfortable to be working with such an amazing team of women. 10/10 would recommend! <3
Updating my review to reflect my recent experience.
Jaque asked me to model for a photoshoot for her brand Saint Cacao. 2 days prior to the photoshoot, I went to her salon, Honey Hues Tans, for her to spray me.
I showed up in baggy clothes and messy hair and no makeup, exactly how you would anytime you get a spray tan. When I arrived there was a photographer, and she said that we would be shooting content.
I was confused by this because I was never informed that we would be shooting while applying the spraytan, as she requested me to model for a campaign shoot which was to take place 2 days later.
She had me remove my clothing and had the photographer begin taking photos of me. Confused and uncomfortable, I asked them to stop taking photos and for the photos to be deleted. I stated to Jaque and the photographer that I did not want any of the photos to be posted.
She apologized for making me uncomfortable and gave me her verbal assent that she would not post the photos and that they had been deleted.
Today, I got on instagram to message Jaque to book an appointment only to discover that she had removed me from instagram and had posted the photos.
When I called her to speak to her about the matter, she refused to answer my call and blocked me.
The photo has been deleted but I am extremely disappointed in how this has been handled. I was very uncomfortable in the situation and trusted that at the very least she would have the decency and respect to delete the photos.
I was told by 2 other business owners Jaque contracted that she took advantage of them and lied, I will not speak on experiences that are not mine first hand, but I would strongly advise not to do business with Jaque, Honey Hues Tans, or any of her other businesses.
We want to offer complete transparency to anyone reading this review. This reviewer was not a client of Honey Hue — she was a model engaged through a third-party contractor for a brand shoot. That contractor was terminated by us following this incident due to their mishandling of the situation.
We also want to address the secondhand allegations included in this review — the ones the reviewer herself admits are not her firsthand experience. The source of those allegations is the same terminated contractor. That context matters significantly.
In November 2025, any content this model expressed discomfort with was deleted immediately. Shortly after, she called us — unprompted — to let us know she did not believe any ill intent was involved, to ask whether there was usable content remaining from the session, and to discuss representing our brand as an affiliate. That conversation was recorded.
No concern was raised for four months following that conversation. Then in March 2026 *by the reviewer's own account* she returned to our Instagram not to raise a complaint, but to book another appointment. It was only after noticing she had been unfollowed that this review was posted.
When she contacted us in March, she placed repeated calls to our business line while we were actively with clients. We responded via text message addressing her concerns before taking any further action. After continued harassment across our business phone line and multiple social media profiles simultaneously, we blocked her. The block was not an attempt to avoid accountability, it was a response to disruptive and harassing contact toward an active business.
We have a recorded phone call and documentation of every interaction referenced in this review, including the harassment. We are confident that any reasonable person reviewing the full record would reach a very different conclusion.
Honey Hue Tans is proud of the environment we have built and the standard of care we bring to every person who walks through our doors. We stand fully and confidently behind our conduct.

My spray tans always come out absolutely flawless — super even, natural-looking, and the perfect shade for my skin tone. She makes me feel so comfortable during the whole process and really takes her time to make sure everything was perfect. It last beautifully and fades evenly too. If you’re thinking about getting a spray tan, she is 100% the person to go to!

First, I have received MANY spray Tans throughout the years. One day I was desperate for a last minute tan and called over 5 people to find a last minute appt. It was already evening so they all said no sorry its too late. Jaque said absolutely! She had just moved to a new location and didn't even have her studio up yet, she had her husband help her set everything up and he let me in the office after hours just to HELP ME! This is THE absolute epitome of customer service! She never waivers in making you feel like a Queen every single visit. I always feel like I'm going to chat with my bestie! Now... cancel your other tanner lady and go see her!!! Shes an expert! ☺️ Love her so much!!
