This is my new favorite place! Our server, Mikayla, was incredible and so good with my toddler when she was making a happy mess. She even offered to bring a small plate before I could get to asking for one so I could share my food. The gluten free waffles were clearly marked so even though they were so delicious I doubted they were gluten free, I could double check the wooden marker on my meal to reassure myself it was safe! Love, love, love. Place was clean and my kid loves the chalk wall. Oh and that bacon! Soooo good. My mother loved her savory waffles and chicken. And this may be a weird thing to mention but I'm slightly a germaphobe and I know there are others who would like to know this... There was a server in the restroom at the same time as my daughter and I. My daughter was quite messy so I was taking a while to clean her off. The server said not to worry and they'd wash their hands up front. I left the bathroom probably a minute later and saw that she was still washing her hands and she continued to wash for probably another minute. That's so thorough! I loved it. Overall, so sad that I only just found this place but it will be a new frequent fave.

Did someone say gluten-free Belgian waffles?! Yes, it's true -- and I seriously lucked out choosing this spot for my birthday brunch. After scouring Yelp for ideas, I landed here, and I'm so glad I did. When I arrived, I was thrilled to learn they make their Belgian waffles in a dedicated gluten-free waffle iron with gluten-free batter.
It was my first time trying their waffles, and honestly... they might be the best gluten-free waffles I've ever had. Light, fluffy, perfectly golden, and somehow still delivering that crisp, satisfying crunch with every bite.
My reservation was for my birthday, and while I didn't get a candle or anything fun on top, I wasn't even mad -- the food carried the moment. Service was solid overall, though a couple small touches (tea, sugar, napkins on the table, and water offered while browsing the menu) would have made it even better. We chose patio seating and it was a bit chilly that morning, thankfully there are patio heaters available.
I'll definitely be back for more of those heavenly gluten-free waffles.
Bonus: they have vanilla coffee creamer!

I am soo happy to have stumbled apon this place. Everything was GREAT from the service and specially the food! So glad my wife and I came across this gem of a spot. Also dog friendly with a patio area which is a huge plus, must try!

I got the Benny had a little farm. It was like chicken and waffles with the added bonus of poached eggs, onion rings and gravy. It was soooo good.

Not sure why all the high ratings, the food is just okay, nothing spectacular. Sides included with the meal are very sparing, the fruit cup had 6 chunks of fruit (probably 1/2 cup) and you get about 3/4 cup of diced potatoes. Prices are somewhat high for Newbury Park, you'd think this was a LA restaurant. Service was poor but that can be explained because of Thanksgiving week and short staff. We received no refills on beverages as well, coffee or ice tea. There are much better choices, unfortunately not many close by.

I also want to address your note about the side portions. They actually used to be larger. Over time we noticed that because we do not skimp on the main dish, most guests were only eating about half of their sides. We were throwing away a surprising amount of fruit every day, so we adjusted the portion sizes to better match what people were actually eating. The goal was not to cut value, but to reduce waste while still ensuring that guests left full and satisfied.

Honey and herbs breakfast is FANTASTIC!!! I am vegan and they are a blessing. Their oyster fried chicken mushrooms and waffles are excellent! They have a vegan omelette which is excellent and they do not skimp on the condiments. They have Vegan whipped cream, vegan butter, vegan almond milk.. Most restaurants that cater to vegans they get tight/cheap on the condiments. They won't have vegan butter or sour cream, but honey and herb goes all out. Their service is excellent specifically the waiter Oscar is fantastic. He is atentative &, polite, and if anything is not to your liking, he attends to it immediately.
It's hard to believe that so many restaurants are missing out on the Vegan movement. Honey and herb gets it right the first time. I have been a customer for over two years now, and I will continue as one of their customers. Thank you honey for being consistent, I always have a great experience, I only wish you had more locations. But I am so glad you're only 15 to 20 minutes away.

This is a hidden gem. Met my daughter and grandson for brunch, and it didn't disappoint. Seating seemed unorganized, but once that was resolved everything else was smooth sailing.

Very tasty food. Pricey. I had a fried chicken waffle and it was $22. It was a good size portion. Service was very friendly, but slow. Seating inside is loud and outside seating is much more conducive for catching up with my friend, weather permitting. Would go back again, but would share a dish.

I love this place. We needed to get electricity at evgo and this place was nearby. I have a serious food allergy so it's difficult for me to eat out but Oscar and the owner of this establishment were so helpful I still can't believe the brioche herb waffle was safe for me but it was! I had the egg, arugula and brioche open face sandwich. The egg was fried with feta (delicious!). My partner had the berried treasure and loved it. We can't wait to come back.
